He kept in touch with me throughout the whole process, I worried about my car taking up space in his lot, he reassured me not to stress about it. That level of genuine care is so rare these days. We went on a family trip with our Tesla to Mammoth during the Thanksgiving break. We encountered a severe winter storm, and the car's aero shield (i.e., front skid plate) was damaged. Half of the shield popped open and was frozen in place by about four inches of ice. We took our car to Warren's Auto Repair due to the great reviews, and it was a good decision. Willie, the technician on-site at the time, showed me where to take the car to get the ice removed and helped me patch up the shield enough to get home for a proper fix later. Made the drive to bishop on a Sunday for a 6 day backpacking trip. We had car troubles on the way, which is rough because it was a 10 hour drive from my house. We limped into bishop and found warrens on Yelp. We dropped the car off to Warrens on Monday morning, knowing that we would be out of cell range to arrange any repairs. Willie the owner told me that he would handle it and felt confident in the repair. He put me at ease and I didn't worry about the car until I was coming out of the mountains. He couldn't have been more friendly and basically dropped everything, grabbed my battery and said come back in a couple of hours. We went off on a hike, came back in four hours and there it was charged and ready to go. What a life saver. I was driving from Minden, NV to Simi Valley, CA (420 miles) and my car starting vibrating badly about 40 miles before Bishop. It was obvious when I arrived in Bishop I either had to get the car repaired now or towed back home. So I checked Yelp for the best mechanic in Bishop and Warren's Auto Repair stood out with their perfect reviews. When scanning the reviews Jennifer T. wrote about a similar experience about getting stuck in the middle of a long road trip and Warren's coming to the rescue. So I decided to give Warren's a shot. To my pleasant surprise, Randy dropped what he was doing and immediately starting diagnosing the issue. After installing a new spark plug and new ignition coil we were back on our way and only lost one hour! All this for an extremely affordable cost. When your car breaks down you expect to be stranded for a few hours at best. But to be back on the road in an hour is just unheard of. THANK YOU RANDY! Fast, detailed, honest service. On a Mono County hot spring adventure with the gal, one or two or a hundred too many dirt road bumps somehow blew our radiator fluid overflow tank cap clean off. We found it (much later than I'd like to admit... dangling at the end of its hose), and nursed my 2002 Honda Accord down to Bishop. Next day: overheating, steam everywhere, fluid all gone. This potential blown gasket, damaged engine, etc. spelled disaster in the middle of our trip and to our nonrefundable reservations in not-Bishop. That's when we limped in to Warren's. A jovial dude called Randy told us to pull up, pop the hood and tell him what we thought. He warned us not to jump to any conclusions, discovered that our radiator cap was cracked and disintegrated and suggested that, as that might've been it, we might've just got lucky that morning. (At which point I made the crack "Wow, darlin'! Twice in one morning!" He dug it more than she did.) He called a local part supplier and told us to wait in his immaculate shop and help ourselves to his wife's banana bread, which was tasty. The dude came, but with the wrong cap, so Randy told us to have more banana bread while he personally drove over to get the right one. Dumped in a few gallons of fresh antifreeze, capped it, tested the pressure and bam! We were up and running. They didn't take credit cards and we didn't carry cash. I offered to leave my driver's license or girlfriend as collateral while I found an ATM, but he declined both. We came back with the cash and a couple Celebration Ales for him and his buddy, shook hands and headed back to the hot springs. Just under an hour of labor, a bunch of antifreeze, a radiator cap and some banana bread for $62.50 and two beers (we gave him an even $65). Absolutely worth it and I didn't even get screwed! Who re-taps metal -- and does a good job? A friend directed me to Warren's. Warren's has the cleanest shop I have ever seen. The tools are clean and organized. The floors are cleaner than most restaurants. The office is immaculate. Even though Warren's specializes in auto repair, I asked if they could tap the threads and replace the bolts? Larry checked the plate: Yes! How long? About an hour. How much? Inexpensive. Warren's did a great job. Just got an estimate for a broken axel seal and a replacement of two drum brakes in the back of a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Safari of $400. The shop down the street, Mr. K, was almost $600 for the seals alone and more than the price of a stainless steel total new axel for the brakes added. Mr. K is a ripoff. Someone trustworthy and willing to take your sad case first thing Monday morning? That's where we were, and if you've been there (or somewhere nearby) you can imagine how grateful we are for Willie at Warren's Auto Repair. We left a message (only slightly desperate) Sunday evening asking for help and giving the heads-up that we'd be on his doorstep bright and early the next morning. We were on our way when he called my cellphone. He asked for some information, told us to come on in, and had the replacement alternator on its way before we even got there. As you know its rare to find an honest mechanic....no bs we all know that. We've all seen the DATE LINE NBC...ABC...CBS special news reports on how crooked and opportunistic mechanics are !!! I found one of those crooked ones in Bishop Ca and it WASNT Warrens Auto Repair. The guy down the street priced me at $1300-1500 for a leak !! WTF This car has 75K miles on it. Plus the part was $700 from the crooked guy but I found it for $250 online BUT HERES THE CATCH I didn't need a new part. Later I found Warrens Auto online and spoke with him over the phone. I made an appt as the ad says because he was busy....two day later I showed up to the appt and dropped the car off. Few hours later I got a call that the car was fixed and ready....PRICE $140 bucks. RIDDLE ME THAT BATMAN ! Call them...talk to them...ask questions...ask for a quote even if the quote cost of few bucks for their time. Thanks for reviving my faith in humanity. ILL LEAVE OUT THE SCUM BAGS NAME DOWN THE STREET THAT TRIED TO F ME OUT OF 1500 BUCKS.. These guys were very fast, professional and courteous. I called at 8:30am on a Friday morning for a diagnostic on my 2001 Subaru Outback (250k miles) check engine light. Willie told me to come right over, and he immediately helped me out. He ran the diagnostic in less than 2min - O2 sensor. He turned off the indicator light and told me an immediate repair wasn't needed. However, if the light came back on, the sensor would need to be replaced. He did all of this for no charge! I realize this is a very quick and easy service, but a lot of other mechanics will charge you $50+ just to run a simple diagnostics. I truly appreciate his professional, honest and prompt service and if the sensor does need replacing, I will certainly give them my business. read more

This guy is extremely rude and was a jerk on the phone. He told me that he refused to do any work on vehicles where customers acquired their own parts. He told me that this is how he makes profit on his sales. Clearly, any mechanic who has to mark up the price of their parts to make a profit is a sham artist. Had to get the car fixed on the way to Mammoth Mountain. The battery had corroded the positive terminal to the point it had cracked all the way through. Came out ran a diagnostic and helped us determine the problem and let us know we didn't need to worry that we would make it to Carson city just fine.
