Warrens is good with their selections and quality of plants however they are pricey on a number of items. The staff are just the wonderful part of my shopping experience as they are eager to help customers. At 70+ with a bad back it is a tremendous help on the large bagged items. The guys are eager to load the car for me. However, on bagged soil amendments they tend to be water logged most of the time and, therefore they should consider building a warehouse to keep the bags out of the elements. read more

Warren's started out as a best in class nursery on North Park and has diversified into a number of other landscaping and hardscaping businesses. They have Kingwood, Porter and Atascocita surrounded and we are lucky to have them. During the aftermath of Harvey they even diversified further and worked with me and others demolishing drywall and cabinets to allow our homes to air and dry out after being flooded. You can tell a lot about the core values of a company based on the employees that are representing them. One of my favorite people at Warren's is Natalee, who runs Warren's Earth Friendly. I'm always tinkering with my lawn and will frequently order bulk aggregates and mulch from her yard on FM 1960. Recently, I had a an unfortunate accident occur when Warren's delivered a truck load of mulch. I called Natalee to let her know what had happened and she reassured me that Warren's would resolve the problem thoroughly and expeditiously. The driver was so friendly and accepting responsibility almost made the problem go away. Within 30 minutes Dean, Warren's owner, showed up to personally apologize and develop a plan to remediate the issue. The next day, Dean texted me to tell me a team of landscapers and supervisors would be showing within an hour. Each of the employees were super supportive and they got most of the problem resolved before lunch, which was on me. I'd heard a lot about Warren's. All good. Most people told me they were "pricy" but good. We arranged in January (it's now April) for extensive landscaping work this spring. Well Spring arrived and all we've seen are delay after delay. We were also promised, but not given a final plan drawing. The two most recent delays were because their crew didn't show up to work???!! I had to call them instead of them calling me to find out why no one was working. Now that I've complained let's be honest. We've had a really bad freeze and demand for Warren's services must be through the roof. They did get a crew over after I complained. read more

I love coming here...its beautiful, they have anything you can think of and everyone is so helpful. We came looking for something specific for our yard due to low sun and type of soil. The lady helped us pick out something beautiful but gave us wonderful tips to help them thrive. There are times when you come across an old school establishment that reminds you of how we have slowly accepted the big box, standard size and products for the masses standards for shopping. Warrens southern gardens has a nice inventory and variety of flowers, plants, bushes etc. Some of the big box stores and some of the franchise garden centers also have a nice selections. But what distinguishes them from so many others is the on-site knowledge and service that's available to anyone who is just walking through the various aisles . You can't seem to get that in most places. I've been to some other places who doesn't even have the plants labeled! Or worse yet, they can't tell you anything about the plants so that you can decide whether it's appropriate for your garden or yard. Warren's even has on site landscape design. That sort of knowledge and service is unheard of in most of the other places. So sure if you just want generic petunias at a low price perhaps you should go elsewhere. But if you want to establish, maintain our grow a beautiful natural landscape then think of these folks first. read more

Nothing screams "Your in Kingwood" more than Warren's. Prices are insanely high compared to other nurseries in the area, or for that matter anywhere. Their prices routinely triple other competitors. Spend your money as you see fit, but nobody has ever ask me if one of my shrubs came from Warren's. read more

Warrens is a great place. The owners Dean and Bernice are very nice. The staff is extremely knowledgeable in all areas of horticulture. The plants are very good quality. The mulch is made on site at their other location. There's always a wonderful selection of rocks. This is an all-around great place. Pros: Friendly staff, healthy plants. I absolutely love the backyard landscaping they installed! Cons: 1. Weeds. I wasn't happy with the volume of weeds that popped up in the new landscaping. There have been a LOT. Our front yard had been newly landscaped a few months earlier, and there hasn't been near the number of weeds in the front. 2. Frustrating communications. I was always the one to have to initiate communications on the status of my job. I felt like I was constantly chasing them when they should have been keeping me updated. When the job was being held up by the unavailability of specific plants, they didn't immediately explain WHICH plants so that I could tell them whether alternatives were okay. The bid/invoices simply listed plants by size, not type. So I was unable to catch a mistake before installation day. This also made it impossible to compare their bid with others. I had to give the same information to the office staff three times because she apparently didn't write it down. read more

Garden heaven! A good friend of mine recommended me to go there for all things garden, especially organic and chemical free. They are super friendly and knowledgeable and the place is kept in top notch shape. I bought a bag of pre emergent weed control that, upon reading the instructions at home it said not to apply to new lawns so I couldn't use it. I didn't have a receipt but they took it back by looking it up with the card I payed no problem at all! Unfortunately im not garden savvy, otherwise id buy tons more. Warrens has a wide variety of plants indoor and outdoor they also have outdoor Decore and pathway stones they offer a good variety of fountains and this is my favorite place to get the highest quality fountain. If you're looking for their selection and you won't find it anywhere in this area or the surrounding locations the only way to get fountains like that would be to go online but the shipping would be her Renda's so I really appreciate them being here and they have a great service and anytime I need them to show me what with that good or what's in season they always are there ready to help with a smile and a helping hand and a green thumb. read more

We love Warren's! It is our one stop shop for all things green! Today we came in for help with some ornamental grasses. It's winter, so they aren't as available as they are in the summer time. We had several employees helping us locate them. Luis was a HUGE help! He found us what we need, hand picked the best plants, and then loaded everything up for us. Twice!! Because we changed our minds after he showed us something he thought might work better for our situation. We will not be shopping anywhere else for all our landscaping needs. What an incredible experience. We spent about an hour at Warren's this Sunday and I was blown away with so many things.. the staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and very helpful. We spoke with 3-4 different employees and they all were professional and friendly. The selection was beautiful, plenty of inventory to choose from, very well organized and displayed in a way that you could really see what your yard might look like. From water falls to outdoor kitchens the ideas are endless. The pave stone walks made it easy to shop, the carts are in great shape and the plants all look so healthy. Needless to say this was our first trip to Warren's but this will not be our last. Just a nice shopping experience in a time where good customer service is hard to find. We went to Warrens Rock and Mulch this Sunday afternoon. After being indecisive with which rock I want with the hubby he found some nice moss rock. Customer service was excellent!!!! We went to Warrens Rock and Mulch last week looking for stones/rocks for our yard. We have poor drainage and not much sunlight on one side of the house. Any sod put down never lasted. We decided on stone to allow for drainage. We explained our situation and were directed to two types of stone. We selected one and it worked out perfectly. It couldn't be delivered for a few days, but we were ok with it. The next day, the person helping us to put it down was only available the following day. We called Warrens Rock and Mulch and explained the situation. Dean figured something out and was able to get the stone delivered later that day. The quality of service, material from beginning to end was excellent. Wonderful people to work with. They truly work with their customers.
