I never use to exercise much but hot yoga literally changed my life.. IT IS BEYOND AMAZING!! The staff here are extremely nice, and the studio is extremely inviting! I've been to three different teachers. Dana's classes (the absolute sculpt and butt class) KICK YOUR BUTT, BUT you feel amazing afterwards. Promita is my most favorite teacher. She really focuses on the body, mind and spirit when she instructs you. Her class is tough (you sweat LOADS) but it doesn't kill you. I've also done hot flow with Monique. WARNING THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DIFFICULT BUT REWARDING CLASS. You never stop moving (except when doing child's pose and a few stretches in the beginning and end)! It kicks your butt, but like Dana's class, you feel amazing afterwards. This studio has definitely converted me into a yogee... I love it! I would definitely recommend it (in fact, I recommended it to my sister and two best friends.. Both of which loved it too)!! read more

I love Warrior 1! At first I was just going strictly for the yoga classes because I would do my other things at the gym. I tried out some of the other classes and fell in love with them. I love doing the 25 minute spin class followed by the BUTI yoga or hot flow class. The restore classes are also amazing when you need some recovery. I love the atmosphere and heated room. The workouts are so much fun and I've gotten better results doing these classes than when I was lifting weights at the gym plus this is so much more fun that I hardly ever go to the gym anymore. Terrible, or should I say NO communication from the owner/manager during COVID-19. Even before this, emails go unanswered and calls unreturned. No informational emails have been sent out during COVID-19 regarding memberships, status of the business, etc. I love the classes and instructors I go to here, but the management is terrible. This place is so amazing and relaxing. I come on Saturdays with my friend to the breast cancer survivor rejuvenation class (I'm just a supporter not a survivor) and it's truly magical. It's not only instructed by one of the most sweet, caring woman in this town. But it's also free to all that come and need a little relaxation and mind wellness support. These woman that show up and put there story's and encouragement out there are the strongest and most caring woman you'll meet in this town. ***Ellen Cruz provided my first ever bad hot yoga experience, not namaste more like not worth the pay 1) Showed up to class after having hand surgery 3hours before class rambled made it about her not our practice 2) Stated at the beginning of class "listen to your body this is your practice" NOTHING can be further than the truth 3) She seemed a little disoriented facing one way but telling us to face the other way her counts were off 1-10 one side then rambled then 1-10 4) Her constant ramble com on' com on' was distracting it was not motivating 5) "controlled water break" waiting 15mins until class ended to announce one 6) Her steeple over head sit-ups has no neck support i have a sore neck so i decided to sit on my tail bone with my legs up to still stay with the group in practicing Core ... I have to say that I have fallen in love with Shanna's Buti classes. They're fun, energetic, and the music is ALWAYS on point! I wish there were more during the week for me to go to! I love her 630 evening classes, her personality is so welcoming and friendly that you cant help but feel good while you're in her class. read more

Came on a whim because I was dragged by a friend. I have never done yoga besides on the wii and to my surprise, I absolutely loved it. I normally run at the gym, but I don't sweat nearly as much doing that as I do with HOT YOGA. It's fun and different from the run of the mill gym workouts plus it's super relaxing and calming afterwards. Took a hot flow class with KELSIE and she was great at helping with forms without singling out any individuals. She was super friendly and upbeat and would recommend her class to anyone. The following week, however, I took a class with Ellen and she was completely RUDE and offputting. From the beginning she was already negative. She started by saying she had no tolerance for cell phones and if we start together we must finish together and it's rude to leave before class ends. And lastly she said if you need to use the restroom use it before class because it's disruptive and rude to use it in the middle of class. First off, people are on-call or have kids and emergencies come up, if i want to yoga with my damn phone I will or if I need to leave because I've had enough - I will and lastly hello lady, what would be disruptive and rude is if I pissed all over the floor so if I need to use the restroom- I will . She also mentioned something about Bakersfield not being up to par as other big cities (almost like a dis to bako, then why are you here?) During the class she kept mentioning things like, "have the courage to leave a job your hate, a bad partner......" Why not just say leave all the negativity outside? And as she ends the class instead of handing you a cold towel, she throws it on the floor besides you and I kid you not her last words for the class were "IF YOU HAVE ANY COMPLAINTS TAKE IT UP WITH THE OWNER." I get you want structure, but shit. Be polite about it. Will never take a class with her again. I'll be honest, if she had been my first instructor I don't think I would have been back. I took this class with a handful of friends and they all agree she's got a bad attitude and not fit for yoga. Anywho, I'll update my reviews as I take more classes with different instructors. read more

I turned to yoga a couple of years ago as an alternative to having a second epidural for a bulging disk in my back. I was in constant pain and didn't want to continue having epidurals that would only mask the pain. I read on the Internet that yoga can alleviate back pain, and that hot yoga would provide even more relief. At that point I didn't have much to lose by trying it. Since that first class I have grown to love yoga! I appreciate that everyone can work at his/her own level. When I get off track and miss classes my back instantly reminds me to go. Absolutely love this place, never been so motivated to work out, so far I've lost 16 pounds in a matter of 7 weeks! Everyone at the studio is so welcoming, & encourages you to work harder and keep going! Worst place ever!! Don't waste your time or money here..... the instructor Kelsie was completely unfocused and unorganized. The music kept stopping in the middle of our workout which was annoying and disrupted the flow of the class. Over all my experience wasn't very positive or relaxing. I took a class with Dana too, her instructions were better but her class was all over the place as well. Music was a problem, again I was disappointed, won't be going back. read more

I've been taking yoga for the last six months with Warrior 1 Yoga and I can definitely say I've noticed the benefits of it. I was skeptical about yoga at first...stretching, etc. I quickly learned that it is a butt kicker. I've taken other yoga classes and no one compares to W1Y. The instructor (Dana) is awesome!!! She works you very hard, but at the same time quickly understands your limitations and adjusts the class to you if its a personal one. I've done a group one with her and she equally gives one-on-one advice as you go so you maximize your workout. Without a doubt, I would recommend W1Y to anyone from beginner to advanced. read more

Nice and clean studio with a variety of yoga classes. All the instructors give detailed explanation of the yoga poses and give options for the beginner to advanced. The heat adds another element for a challenge but also helps with your flexibility. I really enjoy Promita, Dana, Erica, Deekay and Whitneys classes. All the instructors have a different style so it is fun to try them all. I haven't tried some of the instructors but have heard positive feedback for them all. read more

Great Hot Yoga! I've attended other "Hot" Yoga classes in town but found them to be more "warm" than "Hot". This place will truly make you sweat! The instructors are very good. I've done yoga before but not at 100 degrees. My first class was the beginner class which was 1 hour long. It was HOT. But well worth it. The instructor was informative. It was very Zen like. My second class was during my lunch hour. It was a 45 min class. They provide private showers which was a plus. Took a quick shower and was back to work in no time. Love the location. read more

Dana - I just wanted to drop you a quick note...I've been to 3 classes now (Hot Yoga for Beginners, 90 minute flow, and Yoga Core) and I have to say that I am positively HOOKED! Not only are the instructors great at the instruction of yoga, but they are so inspiring and uplifting! I even got emotional after one class, because I was so in-tuned with my body and emotions that it was beyond my control to release some tears! I just want to thank you, thank you for opening the shop and for the amazing people you bring in to teach the art of yoga. I am learning more about myself (both physically and emotionally) then I ever thought I would doing something that was centered around health and fitness. P.S. Very challenging and relaxing for guys and girls. Pushes you to the limits in a lot of ways you can't get out of any other workouts. And when it's over you're soaked and feel great! The hot flow intermediate classes are the best even if you're a beginners. Monique is the best instructor they have by far!! A lot of experience and very helpful and focused instructor. Very affordable and love how you have the freedom to pay per class that way you're not locked in to any contracts. Having no background in any yoga what so ever, I was gearing up for such a high level of expectation that I probably had to fulfill. Not at all. There was no pressure of feeling obligated at holding a certain pose, a certain way, or even staying inside the room the entire session. I liked that since I'm no where near as limber or flexible as I once was. The class was catered to beginners, and the pace was perfect. Although I did not do as well as I had desired, I got the end result of sweating a lot, which is really hard for me make happen, unless I'm doing a raw workout such as Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. I left the class feeling great, and look forward to doing in again. read more

Worst service I've ever experienced from a studio/gym staff. I came in for my first cycling class and was simply told the class would start in a few minutes. I had to ask where the cycling room was, where to leave my belongings, and then had to search the room myself to find my bike. It is customary for indoor cycling studios to ask if you know how to adjust your bike and help you find anything you might need. The staff offered nothing like that...I was just glad I have done indoor cycling classes before. The young lady at the front desk seemed put out that I was asking questions, even though I had told her it was my first time there. The only reason I would come back is because Georgia is an amazing instructor. read more
