We just recently moved to Flower Mound, after months of research we selected Warrior Martial Arts Academy for our boys. I had high expectations for this school, and in the short amount of time we have been there, they have exceeded my expectations. Ryan and Coach have been great and welcome us in even before we signed up. Coach is firm and has control of his class, and he expects all the students to give it their all. He is very encouraging and helps the kids stay focus but continue to push them to the next level. I love how he continues to focus on the fundamentals at this level. Correcting their forms and mindset to prepare them for future growth. My kids love going to class and would go everyday if they could. On days they do attend, they like to get there a little early to watch the previous class. They are constantly wanting to learn, and Warriors is the right place for that. As a parent, you want what's best for your child to prepare them for the future. Warriors Martial Arts Academy will give my boys and excellent foundation as they grow older. I came from another well known dojo/gym in the area taking kickboxing and jiujitsu there, after experiencing a year at Warrior Martial Arts Academy I can confidently say that both programs here are exceptionally better than the last gym I was at. The Instructors for JiuJitsu are both knowledgeable and understanding, they give you technique that you should be able to use relative to your belt and will sometimes even base their teaching off of techniques you request from them. The Striking (muay thai) at Warrior is EXPONENTIALLY better, it is not a smash mouth brawling type class, unless you want it to be, but more steady and logical, you understand that its okay to get hit during sparring and that doesn't mean your doing anything wrong, there isn't any ego involved and everyone is willing to help the new guys. I was invited to warrior martial arts to try out this mixed martial arts program and was very impressed. The instructors are great and make a class that I found very welcoming and appealing, and the workout that goes along with this training is top notch. Not only did I feel like I was getting quality martial arts instruction of various types, the overall body workout was more intense than what I usually do in gyms or on a running trail, while at the same time, learning self defense techniques. The instructors are very friendly and worked with me to develop at my own pace. I did a lot of sparring with other students, which I believe to be very good real world training. I highly recommend giving Warrior Martial Arts a try if anyone is looking for quality martial arts instruction. I don't usually write on-line reviews but I am making an exception for Warrior Martial Arts Academy. My 4 year old granddaughter recently started training at the Frisco location and loved the class. It was all that she could talk about. In fact, when it came time for her to go to Montessori School the day after her first Warrior class, she said that she rather go to jujitsu training than go to school. She normally loves going to school so that said a lot about her experience at Warrior. We can't wait for the new location in Flower Mound to open as that is more convenient for us to get to than Frisco. After speaking to the instructors and staff in Frisco, I feel confident that the Flower Mound location will provide the same high quality instruction and the same welcoming and supportive training environment as we found in Frisco. read more

Warrior Martial Arts Academy is a great academy. My son has learned so much from the coach instructing the class and has so much fun. The coach can see when kids are feeling nervous and works with them to overcome their fear and to enjoy the class. It's amazing to see the kids nervous faces in the beginning transition to huge smiles before the class ends. The owner is a great person as well, he does everything he can to make every one feel welcome both visitors and members alike. You can see the passion he has for martial arts and encourages everyone to train. Warrior Martial Art Academy is the finest instructional training school in the area. We are grateful that we have found Warrior Martial Art Academy. The staff is very professional, experienced and respectful. The classes are taught by professional, high-level instructors. Everything about the gym is great. My son loves it. As a member, I can track the progress and goals of my child with the Winning Warrior Chart. He is not only learning the skills to defend himself, more importantly he is accountable for his actions outside of the classroom. The program incorporates both home and training discipline. My first review was after my son was attending for maybe three weeks. I'm back after now 9 months and would still strongly recommend. My son is five years old and started little warrior classes in August right when he turned five. He still loves and quite interested. The staff is wonderful. He looks up to Coach Vargas and has advanced quite a bit in this little time. He's up for an orange belt promotion come May 9th and now part of a tournament team, being one of the youngest to train on this team. Would I recommend Warrior Martial Arts, YES! Safety is foremost in the mind of the instructors here. I have two daughters who enjoy the classes very much. My oldest is extremely shy and was afraid to begin classes. Now she is out of her shell, confident, and asks for extra training techniques. The facility is well equipped and stocked with quality safety materials. My daughter and myself both train here and the owner Ryan is very enthusiastic about his business and the MMA style training that is taught here. They are serious about training in both kickboxing and Brazilian ju jitzu but find ways to make it interesting and fun for the kids especially. It is also a good workout.
