I've done the gym membership thing, doing HIIT on machines, but I wanted something more personal to ensure I got the results I was looking for. Strengthening my core, losing some weight and improving my overall health were my goals, and Chase has worked with me along the way to achieve that. I love the free-weight workouts, the one-on-one coaching to make sure my technique was right, minimizing risk of injury. And I know that Chase has cared about my overall health journey in personalizing my plan. This made working out fun and something I could look forward to. Even when working out at home, Chase provides my "homework" plan and has reviewed video of technique to keep me on track. I highly recommend!

I went from needing strong bands to help me do a pull up to being able to do sets unassisted. My friends and family have commented/noticed the changes in my physical appearance and my fitness. The workout is constantly changing and is never boring. Trainer is very motivating, never discouraging. I strongly recommend this trainer, he is legit and passionate about physical fitness. Goals are focus on and goals are achieved. Thanks Pavit Kaur

Weights - Probably a 12-15 oly platforms with bumpers - i've never seen them all full. Full wall of dumbells and a wide selection of barbells and benches. Lots of hammer strength style machines. Some of them are pretty gucci - they count reps and time under tension during your set. Cardio - Standard mix of ellipticals, treadmills, and bikes (recumbent and upright). They get pretty full, but seems like they usually have some space. I usually run outside, so not my area of expertise. Functional fitness - A dozen punching bags with a mix of thai style and traditional heavy bags plus a couple of numbered accuracy stations. Sleds, plyo boxes, battle ropes, rowers, some assault bikes, and what looks like a 50-ft rig. 30-yard astroturf run upfront and in back if you like to play around with grass-and-guerilla type stuff. If you can find a better gym for the price, join it. But you won't.

Before I could sign a waiver or touch a single piece of equipment, I was forced into a sales pitch. When I said I wanted to actually try the gym first, I was told I couldn't use the pass and would have to pay for a day pass. That's bait-and-switch. Parker went straight into hard-sell mode instead of honoring what was clearly printed on the card. Completely unprofessional first impression. Ian handled things better afterward, but the experience was already ruined. If you offer a free pass, honor it. Don't strong-arm people at the door.

The staff was friendly and made the check-in process seamless. Coach Riley kept both the floor & treadmill groups engaged, energized and was amazing. Another unique thing about the studio is the members are not needed to wipe the equipment after each class like it's done at all other studios I have visited. The staff take care of the sanitization of equipment after each class. The facility is well-maintained and plenty of parking is available. The studio still has old equipment, which is the only reason for the four stars. Everything else was five stars all the way.

He's kind, treats every member with respect, and somehow knows everyone's name! Riley, Carrie, and Robin are also fantastic coaches who make your day brighter even when the sweat is pouring off of you. This gym is a community. After visiting OTF locations across the U.S. during work and personal trips, the camaraderie here is a step above - we cheer one another on, we congratulate, and we support. The coaches encourage this more than I've seen at other gyms. Also, this is the cleanest gym (thanks Eric!).

The concept: Hero Training is LIKE personal training and can make you get the kind of body you…read morewant. You can show them a picture of who you want to look like, body wise, and they will get you there. They will set you up an account and take before pictures and then take pictures of you like every month, I think, or 6 weeks (that part is foggy). You are supposed to be able to access your account (for some reason they never gave me my access info although I asked for it) so that you can look at your pictures. You should also receive a meal plan, which they try to say people pay $100 alone for that (I call bs on that one). This plan is based on your height and weight (I had to keep asking for mine) to help you get started on losing inches. A new meal plan is also supposed to be given to you every time you take new pic. (Never got my new one). Workouts: They have the women's work out and men's separate on TV screens through out the gym. On thing that I wondered was, if your trying to get an ideal picture body type (the way you want to look) then how are you going to do that by doing the same exercise everyone else is doing? Moving on, the trainers show you how to lift properly and have good form. It's kind of like personal training except that they have a few staff members walk around and help you as you go along. Everyday you workout different muscles. Monday's are leg days, Tuesday's you work on triceps and shoulder muscles, Wednesday work on biceps and back. Thursday leg muscles again... The music kind of sucks since they are always playing whatever music the trainers feel like, mostly rap and hip hop (kind of annoying to me but not a deal breaker). After a while you get the hang of how to lift properly and they don't help you so much anymore. They focus on the new people. So then since you have the knowledge of how to workout and lift, you kind of wonder why you need that gym anymore. Why pay $100-$150 when you don't really need their help anymore? The trainers are nice enough but they are a bit immature and gravitate to the young crowd. Financial part of it: The price wishy washy, they try to get you to pay $150 but then go to a $100 a month and try to act like they are giving you a great deal both times. Even their "special" pricing or "Black Friday" special is minimum $100 a month. They won't ever go lower than that. At the time there was no contract but you have to tell them a month in advance before leaving. So all in all its not a bad gym, it served it purpose. I just hated spending $100 a month when I could pretty much take things into my own hands without much help. I just felt like there were some inconsistencies with meal planning and not being able to access my account and the workouts not really being geared to make me look like that Pinterest model I so hoped to be like. In the end I was fit and lost inches and just purchased my own weights to do the workouts by myself. I could just never get rid of certain belly fat so I just used $100 a month to pay on Coolsculpting instead (yes that did work).

I've been going to this gym off and on for almost 3 years. Its been off and on because I live an…read morehour away. I am willing to drive 2 hours round trip to experience the atmosphere. It's $100 a month, most people would gawk at that, but personal training and meal plan help are built into the membership. The last meal plan I purchased elsewhere was $150, and it was a generic low fat, eat chicken, fish and green beans kind of deal. At Hero, they showed me how to customize it, and make it more appetizing. The Coaches are always available to answer questions and help in any way possible. The workouts are designed to help everyone achieve their goals(99% of goals are, "I want to tone up" or "look good in a bikini"), and however closely you follow the plan determines how quickly you get there. The workouts are posted daily, men's and women's, they are not generic, but strategic to looking the way everyone wants to look. If you want to bulk up, you're going to have a different diet and supplement plan, if you want to tone, do the women's workouts and they will give you a meal plan for that based on your body composition. With that being said, I love the energy in this gym. It's always positive and uplifting, there is excitement in the air, and everyone is so helpful. I have 2 gym memberships, this one and a cheap gym In my area. Even after having memberships with Anytime, LA, and 25hr over the years, none compare to the atmosphere here. If you want to try it out, message me!!! I'll go with you!!!!
