Wasabi is unique in that it's not really a fusion restaurant - but it serves both Mexican and Asian cuisine at the same location. I've only had the Mexican side of the menu. I had the fajitas with the cheese dip. Others in my family had the chimichanga, steak burrito, and tacos. Everything was great. I love that they have a drive-thru - especially during COVID-19 restrictions. It makes things way more convenient. You can order at the drive-thru if necessary, but I find it easier to call and place the order and then pick it up. read more

My husband loves it there because they actually get his food hot enough for him to enjoy. We've traveled all over the world and country and been to a LOT of restaurants and this one is the best one in town for authentic Mexican cuisine. I try to enjoy something different every time I go and have not had one bad meal yet. My favorite things on the menu: Tacos Al Pastor & Pollo Cancun. The Japanese/Chinese menu is pretty good as well. I've tried a thing or two from there and didn't have any complaints. We've never had any issues with the staff or the restaurant itself. They're always nice and bring our refills and food in a timely, reasonable manner. As far as price, you get what you pay for. Wasabi Express is to Japanese restaurants what Fazoli's is to Italian restaurants. At least, that's the feeling I got while eating there. It's not the large dining room, business casual kind of place, but rather an un-intimidating, casual experience. I'm not saying either are bad things. The decor is clean and modern; I was worried a bit going in because of the prior restaurants in the same space. However, I was pleasantly surprised. The hostess always wears a beautiful smile, and I felt immediately welcomed! (She had worked at another local restaurant.) The server was very polite and attentive from the time I sat down until I walked out the door. A manager checked on my dining experience as well. The food. You're going to probably spend about $8-10 for lunch. I ordered the lunch combination of chicken and vegetables which came with the traditional Japanese onion soup, salad with ginger dressing, and sweet carrots. The soup was tasty (I love that stuff!). Then, on to my only complaint...the salad looked like it had been cut the day before. It was starting to turn dark and didn't appear as fresh as I would have liked. Don't get me wrong. It wasn't yucky brown or anything, rather, just starting to darken. The entree, on the other hand, was delicious! Tender chicken. Well-developed flavor. Excellent Fried rice. From the sign outside, you would think it's a Japanese restaurant with some Mexican style specialties. The reality inside is closer to a Mexican restaurant with the Japanese added in. most of the menu is dedicated to Mexican style food. However, there is a special all Sushi menu to look at, if that is your thing. I decided to try the mix, and order a spring roll appetizer, with fajitas as my meal. I was clear to the server I was having the spring roll appetizer. And ordering the fajitas as the meal. They came out at the same time. However, I will point out that the service was fast, and the portions were quite generous and at a reasonable cost. While this place may not be anything special, it is unique. And if you aren't sure what you want, or you are dining with a mixed crowd with different preferences, this place may be a good choice to stop and eat. read more

It was drenched in teriyaki sauce and had nothing sesame about it lol. No seeds, no sesame oil... We ate it. It wasn't bad.... We were also starving. So after having multiple people recommend this place, on a day me and my family were starving we ordered an all Asian takeout. I'm talking 44$ worth, everything from lue mein, sweet and sour chicken, Terayki chicken, crab Rangoon, tempura shrimp. The ONLY thing worth eating was the Rangoon. Chicken was dry as a bone and hard, sweet and sour sauce drenched half our food, tempura shrimp was dry and bland. Rice so over cooked it was complete mush. I got the teriyaki chicken and my husband got the grande quesadilla. Mine was good and had a very large portion on the plate. My husbands quesadilla could have had a little more effort put into it. The cheese wasn't really melted on the inside, so it was kind of like a large soft chicken and cheese taco or something. Otherwise, we had a pretty good experience.
