Wasabi is a nice restaurant with a warm atmosphere. It provides a modern feel that gives it more of an upscale vibe, but without the high prices. The waitress was friendly and recommended the Arkansas River roll. Both sushi rolls were really good. They tasted fresh and had nice consistency. The sake was also excellent; light and refreshing. There weren't many people which was surprising, but it got busier around 8pm. That was nice because you can have a conversation without being drowned out by others. read more

Visiting for work and this is a fast moving, cute spot. They have good seating with a bar and some tables and they have the capacity to fit parties. I enjoyed the salad with ginger dressing f and the misp soup. I tried the tempura battered calamari and veggies and it was chewy and very overcooked. I tried the deep fried monkey brain roll and it was fried too hard. The breading cut the roof of my mouth so I asked for the tempura shrimp roll. Much better but still wasn't really my taste. Location; I was staying at a Hotel across the street from Wasabi Sushi - so my co-workers and I decided to walk over and have some sushi. It's right on main street - downtown. The inside is a bit old feel, but the building were built years ago. Food; Today I tried to the Edamame which you can't go wrong with that typically - it was crisp and fresh. My sushi roll of choice today was "Monkey Brain" roll - friend with crab meat, cream cheese, avocado, spicy mayo and eel sauce. It was so delicious and cooked to perfect. The smaller rolls were priced Fair $5-6 but they were thin and not very filling. The specialty salmon lover roll was overpriced and still thin and not very filling. The delivery charge was only $0.49 but they tacked on a nice $4.50 service fee plus tax. Although the portions were small the food was tasty but I would not return. read more

Sushi is good. Great selection of the normal stuff. Clean restaurant. Close to the Marriot and Doubletree. Very casual. It has a full bar but nothing special. Drinks are not a reason to come here. This is one of the worst restaurants to deliver for. You have to park 2-3 blocks away. I always have to wait 20-30 minutes for my order to become ready. Even after I arrive at the expected pick up time. Today, I was having major technical issues with my app. And I circled the blocks multiple times, to find a decent parking space. I did contact my support for assistance. And I let driver support know I had to postpone my pickup, bc without the app. You can't verify the order with the restaurant. So, the maitre d walks up to me with the food, and forces it aggressively in my hand. I immediately frowned. He quicky retorted, Have a nice day. To try to cover up his rudeness. But when I arrived at the patron's home. She wasn't upset or anything. I apologized for my tardiness, and let her know I did run into "technical difficulties". She told me no worries. I was treated disrespectfully by him, for nothing. I will never deliver here, again. read more

We walked into this sushi place (Wasabi Sushi Bar and Grill) right by our hotel at the Marriott and we wanted one last cocktail before we went to bed. The waitress asked me if we wanted to order food. I said no we just want cocktail we ordered two Knob Creeks for $23. She seemed irritated that we didn't order food. We had our drinks and then she gave me a bill for $40. I asked her what gives on this $40 bill ? She claimed she makes a mistake and confused it with another bill. I called bullshit.! I was very upset that she tried to rip us for off extra money for a cocktail. It's a scam! It's bad enough that they overtax you for alcohol in the city of Little Rock . DON't GO TO THIS PLACE. I ordered two items for dinner: shrimp tempura and sushi with salmon. Not-so-positive: ordered udon and was told they ran out. Then ordered chicken katsu and was told they ran out of that, too, so ordered tempura and sushi after waiting 25 min. Should have stuck with gut feeling and ordered something other than sushi. While food presentation was appealing, flavor was lackluster and disappointing. Five out of 8 members in our party ordered sushi: rice wasn't seasoned or compacted well when preparing, each bite portion fell apart when picking up with chopsticks. Couldn't pick up and turn each piece to lightly dip salmon part (not rice) into soy sauce. Wasabi was tinted a fake green color, tasted weird and unauthentic but had a sharp bite. Soy sauce was watery and neither wasabi nor soy enhanced sushi flavor, which was needed because salmon was flavorless and fillings did not help = 2/5. Tempura arrived pale, limp and soggy, flavor lacking = 3/5. Overall: ambience and menu options were fine but food preparer appeared to lack experience in sushi making and was unable to keep up with orders. We waited for meals longer than expected, and when they did arrive, we ate in silence rather than boasting about what we each had ordered.

This visit, it took about 25 minutes before the chef started cooking our meal because he just began cooking at the adjoining table. Took 10 minutes to Even put in our drink orders then another 10 to get them. After ordering, we waited forever for soup and salad. Didn't even get to finish before chef came out. There was no "show". Only thing we got was a heart rice. Nothing else. Food is always good and on this night, we were told we might not get rice as they were running out. I returned today by myself for lunch. Called to make a reservation and asked if I could use my friends with benefits $25 reward. She told me yes. I drove 35 miles only to be told once I was seated that they aren't a corporate store only a franchise and wouldn't take it so I got up and left. No lunch. She then said they do take your birthday reward so they pick and choose what they want to accept. As many times as I've been there, I won't ever go back. There are a few hibachi restaurants in this area do I'll start using them. What's the point of Benihana giving me rewards when I can't ever use them!

Soup was hot and flavorful and the salad was extra cold and crunchy, dressing was flavorful and fresh tasting. Overall, I'll go back because their tempura was the best I've had in the area but I won't order the other items again.
