We are so glad we found them. Even though we didnt get our tiles through them, they took great care and expertly cut them. We ended up needing another tile cut, so we went back last Saturday, not realizing they don't usually offer tile cutting on Saturdays due to being busy, but they still took our tile anyway and let us know they have a few other things ahead so they would call as soon as they could cut it. A few hours later they had it ready and because of the wait they didn't charge us for the cut. We couldn't believe it. Such great service! They have a great selection of gorgeous tiles in their store that I definitely would want to use for future projects!

Robert was responsive, friendly, and prompt from my initial inquiry to completion of the job. Every commitment was kept and the quality of work was phenomenal! As typical with a remodel project, there were a few unexpected project and scheduling challenges. With each one, Robert was accommodating, and either helped us solve it or personally stepped in to save the day. Very poor workmanship, dishonest, and their promise of "satisfaction guaranteed" means nothing…read more I had a doorway transition where the LVT and transition was not cut parallel to the planks nor the doorway. The carpet installer left us a 2 in overlap, because as he said "it would look stupid if I just fastened it in the current transition". Prior to hiring Floor Coverings International (FCI) to fix this, I was very specific is explaining that the project needed both LVT and carpet expertise to fix the problem. FCI assured me that the technician would be skilled in both LVT and carpet. Further, I asked if my satisfaction with the work would be guaranteed, and FCI promised that it would be. FCI required $250 minimum for any work done. Since the repair involved both LVT and carpet, I figured the cost would be between $300 and $500, so $250 minimum was acceptable. Their installer showed up on time, told us that it couldn't be straightened without LVT work, and he couldn't do that. So he cut the carpet, and placed it under the transition...took less than 10 minutes. Now we were left in a more difficult position than before, as we no longer had the extra 2 in of carpet to work with that the carpet installer had left us. I told FCI that I was not happy with the work. FCI phone call included the installer, and he told me that the problem was the door framing, and that if we were to straighten out the transition, it would look funny since it didn't line up with the door. He said the current transition was parallel to the door. I went to the house, and the installer if full of nonsense. The transition is 1/4 in off of parallel with the doorway, and exaggerates the funny angle. It could have been easily hidden under the door, contrary to the claim of the installer. I sent a picture to FCI, and their comment was "we will fix that for an additional $425, in addition to the $250 we already agreed to". While he did agree to reducing that by $125, he would not be able to do the repair within the week. I pointed out that the work was not done correctly, and that $250 for less than 10 minutes of work seems extravagant. FCI's comment: "$250 is simply our minimum". Bottom line: work was not done properly, installed lied about the problem so that he didn't have to do the work, and the satisfaction guarantee meant nothing. I will never hire this company again.

We hired Devco Construction for a whole-home remodel, and unfortunately our experience ended very…read morepoorly. Toward the end of the project, with several contracted items still unfinished, communication became extremely difficult. Workers stopped consistently showing up, calls and messages went unanswered, and Brian ultimately told us that he did not intend to complete the remaining work. We were left with unfinished work including backsplash installation, portions of the appliance installation, cabinet upgrades, and other remaining items included in our agreement. More concerning, we had already paid toward materials that Brian told us had been purchased. When it became clear he was walking away from the project, we requested the receipts and the materials we had paid for. He did not provide the receipts because the materials had not actually been purchased, did not provide the materials, and did not return the money we had paid toward them. We were left having to purchase those items ourselves in addition to finding people to complete his remaining scope of work. What makes this particularly disappointing is that we had a detailed, signed agreement outlining the scope, material purchases, payment structure, and final reconciliation. We upheld our financial obligations throughout the project. We expected our contractor to uphold his obligation to finish the work and properly account for our money. Regardless of whatever circumstances led to his decision, walking away from a customer's home before the contracted work is complete--and keeping money paid toward materials that were never purchased--is unacceptable. I strongly recommend that anyone considering Devco Construction document every payment and material purchase, request receipts as purchases are made, and avoid paying ahead of completed work.
