The lady at the front desk wasn't nice. She gave us an attitude when first came in for needing to leave our dog for a part of the day because we couldn't be back until lunchtime. Her attitude turned worse when we asked for specific things on our poodle. she forgot all but one. We asked that muzzle and face be trimmed extra short because it grows fast and leaves him unable to see. They did this one. They forgot to leave him ankle balls of hair on all four of his legs. Last they forgot how to cut a ball At the end of his tall. Finally, they make you pay and tip before you see your dog. read more

NOTE: went to make another appointment for my cat yesterday- this location no longer is accepting cats; the Wyoming location also does not accept cats. Recently moved and needed a new place to take our dog. I made an appt which was really hard for the staff to do she had changed the time 3 times on the phone with me. I was never told their deposit was non-refundable but just held my place for the appointment so I called to cancel my appt after looking into more reviews and seeing the location doesn't have a good reputation.. she was really rude to me and said it wasn't refundable and had an attitude with me when I said we were able to get into the place we typically would go. Learning it's worth the drive for good experience for my dog and myself than dealing with rude people and seeing photos of dogs having gashes and sores on their bodies from going here. Can't imagine what the experience would've been if I did end up actually taking my dog here. Edit after their reply: No your staff did not actually tell me it wasn't refundable and I spoke to a woman so not sure how you know I was told one way or another. Very rude staff. Does a poor job. Overcharges and makes excuses when the job isn't done properly. They do not treat the animals well (read some of the other posts, many complain about this). Our dog was fine at our last groomers, but after going here, he was shaking. They cut his nails too short and one was even cracked down the middle so our dog is reluctant to have his nails cut now. They were supposed to do a nail trim and pad shave but there was alot of long hair still sticking out around his pads and I had to cut more myself. Our regular groomer was booked and we only went here because they said they could fit him in easily for a nail trim but I wish we would've just waited for our regular groomer. They are beyond bad and the unprofessional staff makes you feel like you just paid to be assaulted. read more

We have taken our dogs to be groomed this location four times now. The proprietors provide terrible customer service. They are argumentative and treat my business as an interruption or inconvenience. With my most recent visit, they didn't even finish the job. My dog legs and hindquarters were trimmed but her neck was left half done. I was surprised by the unfriendliness of staff, no information provided about services, they just took my dog back and dropped him off with no update or communication about what they did or how my dog did. This was our first visit, upon entering I heard an employee yelling at a dog to quit peeing on himself. Against my better judgement I dropped my dog off anyways. When I picked her up I noticed one of her quicks had bled, which I understand happens as she does have dark nails. But they neglected to mention this to me, and didn't given any details on how the appointment went. Her nails also didn't look like they had been filed, they offered to let me bring her back in, I declined after deciding that Josie had seemed stressed enough. I have gone to the Standale wash n wags about 5 times as walk in nail trims for my two dogs. Every time I have gone there it stinks really bad for some reason. I understand they are grooming animals but I have never walked into a grooming/daycare and smelled the smell that comes from there. The lady that ALWAYS JUST SITS AT THE COUNTER NEVER SAYS HI OR SMILES WHEN YOU WALK IN. God forbid if she the actual owner yikesShe makes me feel like I have to make her happy. First there credit card fee is just ridiculous with the prices they already charge more than other places. Ive said before Im not gonna go back there but they are close to my house. Well today's visit I AM DONE FOR SURE!! She was her normal rude self. I thought I brought enough cash for my two dog nail trims I was $2 short so I paid one with cash one with cc and paid there wonderful ridiculous cc fee. I asked if the prices went up she said very snotty like "NO not for the last 3 years" ok sure! Rude I first paid cash then did the cc pmt then she looked at me said "how do you want to pay for the other one ?""starring at me I paused said I gave you cash she paused looked at me looked at her computer dumbfounded. Then I said I gave you a twenty and you gave me a five back???? Still had her normal resting bxxxx face on says oh I remember. Well ya it was 5 seconds ago. But she must not be capable of politeness. How the hell does she know she didn't turn around and look through the window to even see if they trimmed them. She was just afraid she might have to refund my money. Which if she was a good business owner and wanted people to come back she could of offered a discount. They should not of trimmed his nails. After an appointment with my groomer that I have been using for a year plus, I picked my golden doodle up to find out she had been shaved one length all over. Her head, face, legs, ears, EVERYTHING! She wasn't shaved because Of a request I made or because she was overly Matted. She was shaved because instruction wasn't followed and clearly there was no effort put into this cut. I could have done 100 times better myself and saved on this overpriced haircut of $100 plus. After calling and explaining my horrible experience to the owner, I was treated as if my experience was disregarded and my business was not needed. The owner was Very rude, Unprofessional, whiny, and absolutely uneducated on how to communicate with a customer and most importantly how to run a business. He told me that my dog was a mutt and there is no standard cut for a golden doodle. I personally took offense to this comment. If he doesn't believe there is a standard cut for a doodle, then maybe he should change professions. I was also told that there is no way to cut a dog different lengths and blend everything. Again, if he doesn't have employees who are able to "blend" then what in the hell is doing owning a grooming business? Cutting hair is all about blending and being knowledgeable about different t styles for different breads. He told me there was nothing he could do for me and didn't care if I came back or not. Today was my first time taking my pup here to get her nails done. The price is reasonable, but I couldn't get past how odd the staff seemed. While we were watching our dog through the window, one of the staff members came over and intentionally closed the blinds on us. It made me uncomfortable and worried. It felt like they were either hiding something or mishandling the dogs. I also noticed that the doggy day care room is dismal and quite frankly sad. It's a concrete room with hardly any enrichment items. On the surface, this place seems nice but there's just something off about it. I'd recommend going elsewhere. read more

This is our first dog, and first grooming experience, so nothing to compare to, but wanted to review because our 10mo old labradoodle ended up with kennel cough and the need for antibiotics due to a laceration on her ear from the grooming. Completely botched a mini schnauzer cut, gave him a fu Manchu, terribly uneven on his legs, barely took anything off at all, horrible blending leaving him looking like he has parachute pants on. I have a feisty tortie female cat. She barely tolerated being picked up by myself or my husband. I've taken her to another groomer in the area and they charged way too much for a terrible job (they even cut her skin but didn't tell me) so of course I was in search of a new groomer. A friends has taken her dogs to Wash & Wags sono thought I would give them a try. She was pretty matted the first time I took her in so she had to be shaved quite a bit. This time she wasn't so bad.....and now she has the CUTEST lion cut!! They did exactly what I asked and now she's strutting around with her little go go boots, fluffy tail, and gorgeous mane. On 10/21/2015 we had to board our 1 year old German Shepherd. Upon checking in,we were advised that the brands we were using for feeding was all wrong (pedigree) Then putting him in a play room with other dogs with windows open with screens,that he broke through to the outside,near the main street.,(unsupervised) not even a call,to let us know he got out Without food and water,he was placed in a travel carrier for some duration.(on what the owner called a time out ????? ) Then he was placed into a cage for the duration,till we picked him up the next morning ( without a potty time ) These,among other factors,will prevent us for going there ever again! Be advised,they lack proper ownership,as well as trained staff to oversee a boarding issue with a large dog. read more

My Mastiff hates getting her nails trimmed and this is the only place that gets the job done while still comforting and respecting my dog. We go here regularly and the employees knows my dog by name and are always extremely nice. And $7 for a nail trim is an amazing deal. I recently moved 40 minutes away, but will only take my dog here. I have gone there 4 times total. It was the closest groomer to me and them allowing early drop off is convenient. However, if I am paying $60 for my small dog to get groomed, I expect my dog to look and smell different. I get the total package with wash, trim, teeth brush, and nails clipped. The past 2 times the only thing that has been different is her paw hairs were trimmed. Her nails were not touched, and her breath was the same, and she seemed like she didn't even get washed. UPDATE: This will be our last time at Wash and Wags, today my pup was bit to the point that I had to take him to the vet. No one working was even aware of the big bleeding puncture wound on his leg. I had to call back an inform them and then take him to the vet. Disappointing they don't look after the welfare of the pups there and screen new dogs closer to keep dog-aggressive dogs out. UPDATE: We have been going to Wash and Wags more often recently, and I do still like it and have nothing bad to say exactly. All the staff I have met are extremely friendly and seem fantastic. However, I have gotten more concerned about the rough play that I can only assume goes on when no one is there to watch. They don't seem to have a set-up for close surveillance of the dogs playing. My pup has come home several times with cuts, and I understand those things happen occasionally, dog will play like dogs, this is fine. However, recently he returned with a big cut on his back leg and a chunk hair missing, to the point that I had to hold him down to get a closer look and make sure it wasn't a puncture wound. He is not a rough-playing dog, so this is very uncharacteristic. Their screening process keeping mean dogs out may not be flawless. Things like this are just concerning when you trust them with your fur babies. Original Post : We have only been going to Wash and Wags for day care for a week now, but our experience has been good. We plan to go to them pretty often with my family's schedules getting a little busier some days. Our dog seems to really look forward to going inside when we get there and has all kinds of tail wags when we pick him up! He is pooped by the end of the day and has a good long nap when we are home. He always plays well with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, and he seems to like it here. read more
