Went with a friend who's washing machine broke... This place was a dump. Half the machines were out of order and it smelled like cat urine when we walked in. You'd think they'd take a little more pride in a business where people are coming to CLEAN their clothes. We walked out, even though the place was empty -- which didn't surprise us. So this is my 5th time here, finally got to see them busy. When I walked in I thought "this is there make or break moment." Thankfully they brought there "A" game, the attendant ask how many loads I had then told me told give him two minutes and he would have me going. Sure enough go to go. One of the worst experiences I have ever had!! It is clean, there are other services provided, and there is an attendant on duty. The hours are from 7am to 9pm as posted online. My visit began okay but soon turn bad. I arrived before 8pm with 4 loans to was and dry and 1 small item to dry separately (a very important item). The attendant helped me because I needed to pay with my debit card. I noticed that she was rushing me but It was not that big a deal. When it came time to dry, the attendant was even more pushy and rude. She said, "You have to hurry because I have to leave at 9. I don't get paid after 9. I understood but it put me on edge. Well 15 minutes later, the attendant was telling me that one of my loans was dry before the time was up. I paid for that time. So, I started taking my things out and they were very damp. I was very upset and gave her a bad look. Wet socks and underwear is not okay! She did allow the other items to dry but she stood behind me rushing me. While this was going on, I had that one very important item in a dryer on the end and it had more time than the other dryers. It had to be completely dry. All my other things were dry enough to pull out and I quickly folded them and put them in the car. However, the time was still running on my one important item at the end. The attendant tried to stop the machine early and I stopped her. I put those quarters in the machine myself and I was not about to allow her to touch it! I left the building at 9:05 according to my cell phone which I thought was reasonable. The clock on the was said it was 9:11. I had to hang all my clothes up around the house so they could dry. What a waste of money. I will never do that again!!!! Thank the heaven that I can purchase a washer and dryer in the morning. read more

Yes, this laundry is as good as it gets. Gloria helped me when I struggled in with 14 loads of laundry. The premises are clean and well maintained. They offer free Wi-Fi, have filled snack machines and you can use your credit/debit card instead of lugging all those quarters. Love it!! read more

I try to find the best in every place I go to since everything has good and bad aspects depending on your perspective but this places' customer service is horrible. The old female attendant DOES NOT need to be working here. She doesn't know what customer service is. I hadn't washed in about 2 months after selling my house and a friend suggest this place. I called before coming and asked for the highest capacity (which is a 6 loader) and if it was available. It was, so I drove on in. After seeing all the clothes I was told (by the guy attendant) I needed to split it into 2 - which was fine since I brought enough money just in case. So, I loaded up a 6 loader and a 4 loader and SHE QUICKLY started yelling at me for filling up the machines. That's what you're supposed to do. She told me no and that it needs to be a 1/2 empty (which means adding ANOTHER 4 loader). So, I continued what I was doing and started my whites. She continues to yell and tells me to take all my clothes out and leave cause she is calling the police. I looked at her blankly. I had no words. Having someone old enough to be my mom yelling at me in-front of many customers - I was at a loss for words. I decide to look to see what I should take out and just wash next time and I hear her speaking in her native tongue to someone about me. So, I stop and wait for what else she had to yell at me for. Turns out she was on the phone with the OWNER (if she was telling the truth) & THE OWNER says I do this ALL THE TIME. I'm just some scammer and never have any money and the owner is tired of dealing with me. Which I respond "Why are you lying???" I had not been to a laundry mat since I was about 5 years old with my grandmother. I had my washer/dryer since 2007 and just sold my house. So, no not ever in my ADULT LIFE HAVE I EVER BEEN TO A LAUNDRY MAT- Let alone this one. I should have just done the laundry at my condo but the 1st time I tried there was a note posted about stolen laundry so, that killed that plan. And this whole thing started cause my friend gave me a gift card (that turns out only had $1.50 on it) to this dreadful place when he replaced his w/d. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS LAUNDRY MAT and I ENCOURAGE THE OWNER TO CONTACT ME. read more

When I want to get my laundry done quickly, and have a lot to do, this is where I go! The place is super clean, Gloria is awesome, and using the free WiFi to work is a great way to pass the time while I'm getting my clothes clean. **NOTE: Unfortunately Power outlets are not abundant here...make sure your laptop is charged, or bring an extension cord... The only available outlet is near the vending machines. I just moved a chair over there and it worked out fine. read more

I have been coming to this laundry mat for about 2 years every Sunday, and occasionally during the week nights. It has been a pleasure getting to meet the owners, when they are there they definitely help you out in any way the can as if catching the lottery in there. The usual attendant that I always come across meeting is Nohemi, an elderly attendant who some how still has a lot of kick for her age. Coming as often as I do I have seen many customers treat her greatly and extremely poorly as far as respect goes. What I have noticed is the usual customers that are here often and get to know her she is wonderful and an absolute great attendant; making sure you know when your items are done, if you left any item behind in a machine, everything is clean and spiffy, and making sure you know how to dry your items properly. When different customers come in (not the usual locals) and begin to demand so much from a laundry mat, such as free washes on the first time, constant refunds for their "lost quarters" I even get in a little shock. I have seen people come in and basically demand the attendant to wash their clothes acting like they don't know how to wash their items. I understand many may not know how to wash their items but if the attendant is telling you exactly what to do and you stare at her in hopes for her to do it and you get upset, that's childish. This laundry mat has definitely stepped up their game and love all the attendants who work here. Recently I found out her daughter and son both help out and they are an amazing family! Great service. Gloria is amazing! They have the option to drop off laundry and they will wash, dry, and fold for you! I brought in TWENTY lbs of laundry the other day and she had it done not only same day but within 3 hours. So very accommodating and helpful. Even when I stay and do my own laundry they are so kind and always there if you need a hand! Prices are awesome, and have snacks and wifi so even better! read more

Hello. My experience was just soooo terrible. Yesterday, i brought 4 comforters and I asked the lady working there on Saturdays if she could transfer my comforters to the dryer. She was blunt and not customer friendly. She didn't even smile. She said she would do the transfer for $5.00 but couldn't tell me how much drying would cost. Nevertheless, I left the items and she told me she would call me when it's done. i waited at home for the call, but nobody called. I left a message but nobody called. On Sunday, May 19, i called the washateria and the worker on Sunday said "I didn't know I'm supposed to call you!". She didn't apologize. She said that the other lady is not there, the one who helped me Saturday. I just went to pick up my comforters. The trouble I had and was shocked by the experience is that I used the cart to transport the comforters to the pick up curbside and then i put the cart by the window, when the worker dashed out of the washateria and threatened me with a sour face. She said "next time, if you leave the cart outside, I won't let you use it!!!". I said all you have to do is ask nicely "Would you please bring back the cart inside". She said "I don't have to". Then as she was going inside, I told her "You don't have to threaten me this way." . You see, what she didn't know about my physical ailments. I have lymphedema caused by my breast cancer surgery and everytime I open the door or push something, it hurts so I figured that leaving the cart outside won't bee too much of a trouble for a worker who spends half the time talking to customers. WHAT A BAD EXPERIENCE I HAD. Both workers at your washateria seem so unhappy. read more

Clean, reasonably priced, and friendly staff. I would recommend this place to my friends in need. They are in the process of getting more machines installed so it is a bit unorganized, but they are trying to get that addressed quickly. Great facility. read more

Finally ! I have lived in the south Austin Brodie area for over 10 years and finally there is a nice, clean, affordable, laundromat with great friendly customer service at the Wash Day Laundry. I've been coming now, about twice a week, since mid October when my washer broke. The staff is always friendly and very helpful!! Some days that place is super buisy and everything will be full. But they are so nice and helpful to get the washers or dryers emptied for u and then let u know so u aren't wondering around or just waiting for one to open up! THANKS read more

okay normally i would just leave a business and never go back but my experience was so horrible i have to write a review and warn others. First i know they have only been open for a few months. I went to the prior laundromat so thought i would see how they changed it. Wow half the washers broken. Only one 4 load washer. The attendant never greeted us and if it wasn't for the fact that i had issues would i know she worked there. My clothes were still wet after 35min in the dryers. I went home and had laundry hanging everywhere to dry. A lady walked in as we were leaving and i wanted to tell her go somewhere else this place sucks. Oh yeah why have a flat screen tv when you can't see or hear it from the fancy white chairs. Oh and the attendant did say her maintenance guy was suppose to come yesterday (which would have been Friday). Imagine what better service it would have been had he bothered to show up. Save your quarters and go any other laundromat. A coat of paint, fancy chairs and flat screen televisions are not necessary for a laundromat. Should of spent money on a better maintenance guy.
