Even after a few days of rain, in a rural town, I've seen other car wash lots and stalls caked with country mud thicker than fudge on one of Aunt Mabel's sundaes. NOT the Downtown Car Wash though. Spotless! I stopped in to wash down my diesel engine. It had been a few months since she had a bath. I was surprised at the generous amount of engine cleaning solution that sprayed from the wand. The solution really cut through the dirt and grime. I also sprayed down the grill to loosen up the bugs I've removed from US 36 on trips to and from Denver as well as Hays. The power rinse was equally impressive. Great pressure! I look forward to my next visit.

Tony did not allow me to use the brush on my motorcycle; he took charge of the hose and washed my bike. There is a hand blower for drying the motorcycle, something that I had never seen before in a car wash. Even is you don't need to wash your motorcycle, go in and say hello to Tony... The "soft touch" option was $15 and quite possibly one of the longest, most relaxing car washes I have ever been in. You sit idle as a washing contraption glides over your car. The first few passes of the scrubbers are light and increase as the wash progresses. A voice announces each phase of the wash. Once complete there is a 60-second timer to count down your dry time as you leave the bay. I stopped before getting back on the road and we came out mostly bug free!

UPDATE: I left a message for the manager on Friday didn't hear anything, I called back on Monday. Nathan told me I could file a claim under warranty for my license plate, a little bending fixed the license plate so a warranty claim wasn't necessary on my part. I was told, the car wash does an automatic pre-wash so if it doesn't do a good enough job, I should've just driven through again. To summarize: if you go through Tommy's car wash get out inspect your car before you leave the property; just in case you need to go through again for a dirty car. If you have any issues, don't expect an apology or to get your money back for another wash, if it's been several days as in my case. Lesson Learned. Too bad zero stars isn't possible!
