This laundromat is very cool! I have 3 young boys, and am at Smart Wash almost every weekend. The facility is clean, and I never have any issues finding a washer/dryer to use when I need one. I LOVE entering raffles because I have won several valuable things from raffles. This year the laundromat has been raffling off something different every month, and they were giving away a 32 inch LED TV for September. I was shocked when I received a call from the owner informing me that I won the TV. God works in mysterious ways because our current TV just started to break down, and I was planning on buying a new one. It is true that God's blessings are always perfectly timed. Very grateful!!! Clean, plenty of machines, little laundry store if you forgot something, use of credit/atm card so you can buy a card (note $10 min) Will be coming back when I need to do big items or I don't feel like spending all weekend doing laundry. read more

I came here for the 1st time, today 6/30/18. Let me tell you it was around 8:30pm, when I arrived. I could not find the small washers, so I asked this short, man that worked there, where they were,he was rude as soon as he saw me coming!! He said the small dryers are all around this place! Than starting pointing. So I proceeded to load my clothes in the washer, than I was thinking to myself how can I pay, so I asked does this machine take cash or credit card, he than told me you can get the laundry card, and had and attitude, while explaining what to do, I told this man it was my 1st time here, so I don't know what the attitude was all about, besides that this place proclaimed to have AC according to their website, but the place was hot and miserable along with the, rude worker. The washer and dryer in my apartment building are old and don't do a good job. Because I can no longer physically handle doing my laundry, I decided to use their drop off service. I stopped there after 7:30 am on a Monday and when i got off work after 4 pm, my clothes were all ready. Nicely folded and some of my work shirts were on hangers still wet, which I really appreciated, because that meant no shrinkage! I am highly impressed with their service. I have used their machines in the past, and was impressed with the entire operation. The staff I came into contact with were friendly and helpful! This is the only laundromat that'll I'll ever go to. It has everything you need with multiple sizes of washers and plenty of driers available. The way you use the machines is through a card system and you use the same card to use the bathroom, vending machines, and access after hours. They have a little store in the back if you want to buy supplies and they offer some services that I personally haven't used. I see employees keep busy by keeping the place clean. read more

And I asked this short employee man to help us out since we don't know what to do and he started giving us an attitude and pointing disrespectfully of what to do to the machine I even apologized and told him that it's our first time here.. And I went over one of the reviews and there was the same problem about this man and it was in 2018.. I've been to this laundromat twice and both times I've had an unpleasant experience. My first time, I didn't know I needed to get a Smart wash card to use the machines and when I asked the attendant she said she would be there to assist me and didn't show up for another 15 minutes. My second time which was today, I dropped off my laundry in the morning and told the attendant I will be able to pick it up at 10:00 PM, I arrived at the laundromat at 10:10 due to being at work a little later than expected and the attendant had already "locked" everything down. If the location closes at 11, why is the pick up station locked. She didn't even let me say anything when I got to the pick up area and just said "I locked it already". I honestly didn't appreciate the service I received, I thought the drop off and pick up laundry was supposed to be convenient but it made my experience very annoying. read more

This laundromat is clean ... has nice crew that tend the place ... only thing I observed is the drier is not hot enough for the money . It will take at least 3 times load of .50 cents ($1.50) to dry a thicker comforter where other driers On other laundromat I've been to dries in lesser minutes. read more

This is the worst laundromat ever! Do not go there. Employees are ride, they don't clean like they are supposed to and every time I go there are millions of little kids running around as if the establishment is a playground. There's never any dryers for use and hardly any washers due to the busyness I'd like to add I had asked the attendant for help and I told him that I was getting frustratedly with to nothing going right every time I come to the establishment and he proceeded to tell me it wasn't his problem and that I needed to learn how to use the machines. My dryer broke down and I was stuck with no dry towels and a load of wet clothes for the kids before school on a Monday morning. After trying to find a laundry that was open at 5 am, I found this place 17 minutes from my house, but worth the drive. And now that I have a card I can go at anytime. Wonderful! Facilities were clean and state of the art! I just wish I had something like this in Skokie! This is the best laundromat I have ever been to. There were many, many washers and dryers so there was no waiting....and I even went on a Saturday afternoon. The lady who worked there was very helpful and patient in teaching me their system (you have to add money to a laundry card and all machines use the card). I needed to wash a large quantity of clothes and was happily surprised to find a very wide range of machines to choose from including a very large industrial sized machine for $15.99. All purchases are made using a card issued by a machine at the back which takes cash or credit card. Getting and reloading the card was easy as the system prompts were easy to follow and are available in Spanish. Pros - wide variety of washing machine sizes to choose from, easy key card use means no need to bring or purchase quarters (the key card works for the bathrooms and vending machines as well), plenty of carts to use including at least 3 different styles to meet your needs, lots of dryers (including a very large one able to handle the quantity washed in the industrial washer), free wifi and televisions throughout, clean bathrooms. Cons - the manager leaves at midnight. It has been noted that key cards are required after 11 pm but this only seemed to apply to the back door and even then, anyone who has washed before and has a card can come in. As a woman it was a little unsettling having random people come in after midnight and hang out in the bathroom for what seemed like a long time in addition to people coming in and checking the dryers for (I guess) money or other things. Small folding tables. Overall a great washing experience but having an employee around after midnight would make for a better and safer environment. read more

I usually go to the Maytag on central and Milwaukee but thought I would try smart wash because it's slightly closer. The faculty looks very clean and I'm sure if you are doing your own wash it is perfectly sufficient. However, I was planning on dropping my laundry off. #1 they charge 30 cents more than Maytag per load and have a 10lb minimum. I stood at a desk for a few minutes before someone wandered up and asked in a whisper if they could help me. I told her I wanted to drop off for pick up Sunday ( 2 Days ) She then attempts to put my info in the system but can't even get the spelling of my name correctly, she says she has to go get someone. I decide in that moment the proximity to my home is not worth the extra .30 cents per load. I asked for my bag back and drove to Maytag where there was someone at the desk who took my info and weighed the clothes immediately. And I can get them same day. No additional charge. Smartwash wants additional 1.50 for 24 hour service. I was in and out of Maytag in less than two minutes. Drive the extra couple minutes to Maytag. Great, fast service. read more

I started going to Smart Wash after the laundry room in my apartment complex became out of service. I was surprised at how clean the place is and there are so many washers and dryers. You never have to wait for a machine to be available. I love how it only costs 39 cents to dry my clothes. I'm happy they're open late, as well. However, the prices are really weird. They all end in "9"... so every time I put money on my card I feel like I end up wasting money. Why isn't it an even dollar or even "50"? read more

This is a great place if you want to do laundry. The place is kept very clean and there is a lot of washers and dryers so you don't have to wait. To do laundry here is pretty cheap and the washers are kept very clean. The machines are fairly new and have your clothes spotless.
