We arrived a little late with our three legged dog, were greeted cheerfully, they were very familiar with OVC in Guelph who is our dogs primary care provider and the site was well organized, large, clean, bright and full of positive energy. Naturally, lots of vets have this feeling since one assumes they love animals. We have dealt with Ark animal hospital for years until we moved out of Orillia so we used them today (August 31, 2018) for her allergy problem. The vet listened to her heart and checked her skin. Then she said before she could prescribe Prednisone she would have to have blood work for $180.00 plus tax. We asked if we could opt out of the blood work and sign a waiver that they are not responsible for anything that could go wrong. She said "no" even though we explained that she has been on it every August for 10 years at. They billed me $104.00 for the five minute visit and no resolution to her allergy problem. It was a complete waste of money! I will not go back and would not recommend it to anyone else.

She has been rude, condescending, and downright a c*nt when trying to deal with her. She tries to give advise as if she is the veterinarian and then lies and says that that was not the advice she gave when called out. This has happened multiple times. She also is super condescending when we try to book appointments. When asked if I could do a certain date and I said no she belittled me and said "look, I'm trying to do you a favour". I said I was not looking for favour and I was not asking for an emergency appointment but that the next available appointment would be fine (As the appointment that she suggested I would be busy taking a friend to her Chemo appointment I was very offended that she would suggest I blow her off to take my dog to the vet, again for a non-emergency issue). It is a real shame as the vets and other receptionist are quite nice, but again we can no longer handle being disrespected by this girl.
