Lawrence is a very difficult town to find a rental in especially if you're a family and you've had some problems in your life and gone thru a divorce and had a spouse thats ruined your credit. it seems no one wants to help you these days. people are all about themselves, nobody quite wants to really help it's really sad that life has become all about business. I ran into this after trying to get several places and not having an adequate credit score.I kept trying, I found a house that I really liked and called, it was a realtor that was managing. Kimberly Williams with McGrew real estate, she said I'll be glad to show it to you but the landlord requires a 600 credit score and yaddy yaddy yaddy.I said well that's not going to work for us and then I said can I tell you a little bit about us? she said yes so I told her my story and to my amazement she really cared she told me to write my story down and to email it to her and she would go to her client and see if she might make an exception and give our family a much-needed break. The next day she got back with me and told me the client did not want to rent with us I guess she's one of those that it's all about the money and not giving someone another chance I've never had an eviction and I've never owed anyone money on rent I just needed a little help. this is not where I wanted to be at 55. I just want to say this is the first review that I'm going to compliment somebody on and thank them for their help and that will be Kimberly Williams because I was somebody that didn't have a pot to piss in and she still went out of her way to try and help me. now the thing is I'm going to be coming into some money in about 6 months quite a lot of money and I'm going to buy a house and I'm not going to call the Chaney's but I'm going to call Kimberly and she's going to sell me a house because my money is green enough for her, so if you're looking for a house, put your money on her thank you Kimberly!!!

On the day of move in the house was not ready and we walked away from it with 42 pictures taken of the property and asked for our deposit and first months rent back. We did not receive either and neither the realtor nor the landlord, Alesia Spearman will answer our calls, texts or emails We are now out $2500 and not sure how I am going to live on $60 for the next 10 days with nothing in the frig. Please do not pay a deposit or rent before moving in to any place and definitely stay away from this company!!

Later, we found rat traps located in the lower section of the stove and in the basement, suggesting that the property management company and owners were aware of the issue prior to our arrival. Furthermore, there was a squirrel nest and infestation in the attic that had also been reported. After a storm left the property without power for 72 hours, the basement flooded, resulting in rapid mold growth on all stored items, despite their recommendation on the Zillow app that it was fine to store things there. When I informed the property management, Bill came to assess the situation but never conducted a proper cleanup or repaired the leak, leading to flooding every time it rained. No repairs were made, and there was a noticeable lack of concern for the damage, which ruined everything. I had to seal off that area and ventilate it because my elderly grandmother was the main tenant, and they neglected to fix or adequately clean the space. When my husband visited their office to discuss the rat issue, Kathy advised him not to bring it up in front of another tenant that was present in the office. So save yourself the poor living conditions and look elsewhere.
