This business needs to inform patients on what is required of them and not expect them to dig for information. I had to request pre-op instructions to be sent to me after they claimed they mailed them, well they did not. I get a text message saying I need to pick up the stuff I had to drink, well can't do that without prescription, and then I find out the physician is female for which I am not comfortable with, male doctors should only be attending male patients. I don't want some strange woman looking at my privates, I'm married thank you very much. Frankly, the better part of me finds the whole thing rather uncomfortable and embarrassing really. Above all, I had to cancel twice seeing as no one can get message once. Canceled it and choosing possibly another place that doesn't expect patients to do their job. I'm 46, I thought this was recommended for 50 and older? I suppose it could be any age but I haven't seen a thing on where this has changed. read more

Dr. Parker is nice, very professional, an excellent listener, and highly skilled at developing and communicating a plan of treatment. She investigated my symptoms thoroughly and listened to all my medical concerns. Both me and my husband have seen her for treatment and were very satisfied with the care we received. My examinations included endoscopy and sigmoidoscopy and my husband had a colonoscopy. All of these procedures were conducted flawlessly. It's hard to find doctors like Dr. Parker. We highly recommend her. Also, the facility is very clean and the nurses and staff are all kind, helpful and patient. read more

I was the driver for a friend who came here for that 5 year thing called a colonoscopy. 5 stars for being able sign up on line. I checked out the website and it looked super easy. 5 stars for the operating room intake person. 4 stars for the clinic intake, i walked in and it's a little confusing where they want you to be, because they have a separate door, a card table for intake, but no one sitting there. Then they get upset (I saw this with 4 different people - who i pointed in the right direction) when you go looking for them to intake you. One star for the prep instructions, 2 days of clear liquid diet? I have never had that before, I couldn't believe it when I read it, twice!! 1 star for combative anesthesiologist who apparently doesn't like questions or believe in collaborative medicine. Plus it could because she was moonlighting here (she mentioned working at a hospital in Tacoma). During the course of the conversation she let it be known she was going to use the higher end of the dosage, which came into play later when the post op nurse lacked patience. Insisting the patient should stand up and get into the chair even though patient said they were dizzy and couldn't stand. In pre op, the dr performing the procedure was dismissive of patient concerns when they explained some difficulties previous Dr's had experienced. Dr was highly confident that their extremely skilled hands would not have similar issues. Which calls into question the reason provided for needing to come back in a year. The dr was not able to complete the procedure with a claim due to poor prep, although discharge paperwork says clean colon with pictures of a clean colon. Not sure what it all means because the dr was too busy for post op conversation with me or the patient. When the patient was released, they were very unstable. My first colonoscopy was last August I stayed awake for because after moving back home to take care of my elderly parents I have no friends anymore who could drive me. The staff were kind-hearted and proficient finding polyps requiring a colectomy at St Michael's thankfully 100% covered by Medicare benefits also springing for respite care on Bainbridge Island afterward where they moved me to a private room when my first roommate played the television all night long. The other day I got my follow-up colonoscopy (from the same crew of friendly physicians) that went just as smoothly as the first time if not better. The surgery at St. Michaels looked good, but I need to eat more fiber. Recently moving I started eating out while unpacking, falling in love with Indian food, so I've got a larder stocked with chicken tikka masala after the recent passing of inventor Ali Ahmed Aslam. Tonight I tried a different simmering sauce. So now I'm apparently flushing my system properly with rice and a happy camper at the moment. Since the colonoscopy prep instructions forbid brown rice, should I eat that instead of boil-in-a-bag long grained white rice for the fiber until my next colonoscopy in five years? I would give these jerks a zero rating if I could. I scheduled a routine, follow-up colonoscopy with Dr. Siddaiah and received a prescription for the yucky prep stuff. As any of you who have ha your colonoscopy done, the prep is the worst part. After doing the prep the prior evening, I had my son and daughter-in-law drop my off for the colonoscopy since they were going away for the weekend and my wife and were watching their young kiddos. But I was refused treatment since my wife, who had arranged to pick me up after the procedure, was not on site. They insisted that my wife would need to be on site from the time the procedure started until I awoke from the anesthetic, a period of one hour and forty-five minutes, even though there would be no reasonable way for her to entertain the kiddos. No one told me prior. I had no option but to leave without having the colonoscopy. What a bunch of unreasonable and uncaring folk. read more

I went to the DD& E Center due to an esophagus problem. The visit went very well, from the initial greeting at the front desk to the meeting and treatment by Dr. Yee. Every person I was in contact with treated me with utmost care and showed great concern for my comfort and well being. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant. Dr. Yee is a physician that truly cares about his patients. I heartily recommend this clinic to anyone that need endoscopic or other digestive care. read more

I was having stomach pains and my primary care doctor sent me to get a CT scan. The results found something and I was able to get a appointment the next day with DDEC. I saw Dr. Parker and reviewed the CT and was scheduled within a week for an endoscopy. It was was performed by Dr. Gulati. The results were not good but Dr. Gulati talked to me after the procedure about treatment and what to expect. He called called me the next day and the day after that to see how I was doing and to further discuss my problem. Who does that in today's medicine? Needless to say, Dr. Gulati and DDEC get my highest rating and recommendation possible. read more

Prior to the procedure I had verified with DDE staff that I do not have insurance as I lost my employment due to Covid19. I was referred to DDE by the local hospital immediately following a related emergency medical event. I explained that I am in the process of being approved for financial assistance which was ultimately approved at 100 percent. They told me prior to any procedures that they honor the same programs that the hospital does. I sent them a copy of this letter and I was assured that every thing is covered on their end. The issue is that they to mention that they have multiple ends meaning their billing for the anesthesia, pathology, and imaging are all sub-contracted out to offices around the country that do NOT accept my financial assistance. This is very misleading and deceiving. I am now being pelted with the bills for all of the services that were rendered by DDE at their same facility on the same date. Furthermore, they listed me as ''Customer Pay'' to all of their in-house Sub-providers. May I suggest that you have good applicable insurance, or get in writing their fees and what is or is not covered by ANY financial assistance program before selecting treatment at DDE. They do not answer their phone but rather now operate on voicemail. It has now been one week since I called and left them a voicemail requesting to speak to someone in billing. I called and left a second request via voicemail this morning. I still await a response or an explanation. Financial bait and switch. Clinically I suppose they are fine, the nurses were pleasant. Administratively their communications leave a lot to be desired. The nurse who was supposed to call me a few days before the procedure called the day before when I was already halfway into my prep instructions. I was never notified that they were no longer requiring pre procedure covid testing and that my appointment for testing had been cancelled (took a day off work so I could do it). But my biggest concern/problem is with the anesthesia billing bait and switch. Prior to the procedure, I received a letter stating that my insurance wasn't likely to cover general anesthesia and that I had 3 options - pay $400 out of pocket, try billing the insurance to see if they covered it, or Option #3 - Nurse administered conscious sedation. I was clear that that I wanted Option #3, but there were no instructions specifying what to do with this info. When I arrived at the procedure center after 2 days of colon prep - I was informed that conscious sedation was not available because they didnt have any staff to administer it. While it was tempting to walk out, I was already a year overdue because of covid, and I had just spent 2 days drinking drano to clean out my colon, so I really didn't want to have to reschedule with a different provider at some unknown date in the future. I went ahead with the procedure, but I am livid and will go with another provider in the future. read more

Sitting quietly in my car doing my Sudoku puzzle, I patiently waited for my son's 15 minute bio-procedure. [ 15 minutes turned into an hour. ] So, sun baking in a 80-90 degree car was becoming nauseating. So, I grabbed my keys and purse and walked into the clinic with a smile. Politely, I asked the receptionist may I wait inside because it was excruciatingly hot outside sitting in my car. The nice receptionist told me , " sure." On another note, my son told me that a nurse was holding his hand all through the biopsy. So, I want to say all the staff (thank goodness )was not as rude as the one I encountered. A "shout" out to the receptionist who allowed me sit in a cool spot and not in a sweltering hot car. The receptionist seemed to be constantly at work and not taking a break. It was mandatory for my son to have a friend or relative to drive him home after the procedure appointment. A cab was out of the question , according to the Endoscopy Clinic in Poulsbo. My smile quickly faded away when I encountered a staff member at the clinic talking to another patient about her home decorations. I listened to this clinic worker for 30-40 minutes talking about painting her bathroom to another patient. I did not try to enter the 30 minute conversation. I kept my mouth shut and concentrated on getting my 9 digit numbers to correspond correctly in my puzzle. Instead of finding out what was taking my son's 15 minute procedure 2 hours to complete, this staff member in the clinic made sure that I was not welcomed in her clinic's waiting room. There was also another person sitting in the room. No statement was directed to the other people in the room. Her eyes were glaring Only on me. In my case, this staff member ( who painted her house all night ) walked over to me and told me to leave and wait in my car for my son. Her statement towards me caught the attention of all the other people waiting in the room. All of the focus was on me now and not of her painting rooms in her house all night. The discussion was all about me sitting in her clinic's waiting area. I see that this clinic has received some bad reviews. Maybe if the staff member ( who was insulted by me trying to stay cool) could concentrate on making her clinic more proficient, the clinic could receive 5 stars instead of 1 (one). If the staff member would spend time on resolving issues, the clinic would be a better place. There was no reason to harass me in going back to my car. This Digestive Clinic had two waiting areas with 30-40 chairs. There were only 3-4 people waiting in those areas. I was sitting way back by the window with no one even 6 inches around me. The staff member who stayed up all Friday night to paint rooms in her house let the entire room know that she was tired and I guess she took out her frustration or tiredness out on me. There is a such thing as Quality Control. My son told me that he over heard a conversation between staff members that they did not get lunch. After I submit this, I hope the staff members know that one of their co-workers was happily talking to a patient about her home décor for 30 minutes. During my conversation with the "house painter", I told her that it was hot outside. She made a face that could freeze water. The hatred in her eyes was unbearable, so I left. Humans treat dogs better. I guarantee you that the receptionist who was so kind to me by letting me wait in an air conditioned space was scolded by this lady who told me to leave. The receptionist who answered the phones, checked patients in, and did the paperwork for the clinic allowed guests to sit inside out of the sun. Instead of telling me to leave, the staff member should have helped the front desk. Anyhow, I hope her paint dries well. Unfortunately , I cannot afford $4 / gallon gas. Hence, sitting in a car with an air conditioner running for 2 hours is not an option. read more

I appreciate the care I receive from Dr. Siddaiah and his assistant. Dr. Siddaiah has taken time to discuss my health outside of pharmaceutical solutions including exercise, and meditation. His assistant, Jenny, has been very helpful staying on top of the health insurance companies as she works through the challenging process to get approval for a treatment necessary for a health condition. read more

They straight up lied to me about the fees. Do not believe them if they claim you will be covered. After telling me I was covered at 100%, I have started to get a string of bills from them that I cannot pay. I told them when they scheduled the procedure that I did not have any money, and they said not to worry; I was fully covered. Turns out, they lied. read more

I have always been treated with the utmost respect by staff at this clinic. Reception greets patients with a smile and takes the necessary time with each person to make sure that all questions receive answers and that the person understands what is expected. At times I have had to wait a few minutes in a line to be checked in because the receptionist is being clear with the person in front of me, but I get the same one-on-one time as needed. I've not had to wait long in the lobby before going back to be checked in by a med tech. All med techs I have met have been pleasant and professional. Dr. Seddaiah makes sure my questions are answered and that I understand the next steps for my wellness. read more
