Brian, the GM, set the tone right away, straightforward, no nonsense, and genuinely focused on helping. Joe, my salesman, was incredible to work with. He listened, didn't push, and actually helped me land on the right vehicle instead of the most expensive one. And Deshaun in Finance made the paperwork part painless (which almost feels illegal, finance is never supposed to be that smooth). No pressure. No games. No hours-long back-and-forth. Just honest people doing their jobs really well. If every dealership operated the way Washington Hyundai does, car buying wouldn't have the bad reputation it does. I bought my car here in Dec 2020, mainly for the warranty of 100k. But the service I received since having my car has been awful. I have reported many issues w my car and told they are fine. But the last one was the worse. I had a code, so I took it in. It was an oil consumption issue. I did all they asked of me to get a new engine. It was denied, as out if warranty, but I had 99k when they began claim. They reopened the case, but never called me back for months. Finally I took my car to the dealer and it was making a knocking sound, like it was going to blow and had engine light on for days. They would not run code and told me my car was fine to drive home- 1 hr away. They also approved me for the final step before I could get a new engine. They were to call me the next day to set up appt for 1st week of Dec. After I left dealer, I went to valvoline and got an oil change. They said my engine was messed up and I should go to dealer- to which I said I just left. They were shocked they let me leave with my car that bad. It was a hazard to me and everyone around me as it could die at any minute. I bought a new car as the engine blew in the one hyundai sold me, as I was waiting for them to replace it. And Im still waiting for that call to schedule the last step- and its 12/26. They didn't listen to me or call me back and let me drive away in a car with a messed up engine and multiple codes. read more

New 2022 Sonata Oil changed June 8, 2022 193 mile after oil change my check engine light came on and was stuck on side of road for a few hours waiting on tow truck. Car was taken back to dealer I was told it was fine. Drove it after total lack in acceleration, engine is not fine. I knew it was not going to be ok and was going to trade it in on a different hyundai. AWFUL customer service. The worst I've ever experienced. My 76 year old mom bought an Elantra (with cash) from this dealership. It was the 3rd Hyundai she's purchased from them. At 35,000 miles, the paint just started peeling off the hood for no reason (photo). When I took the car to the service department, I was greeted by a nice young man who walked me back to the service desk. The "manager" he introduced me to was clearly annoyed that I was interrupting the McDonald's he was eating at his desk... When I started to explain my problem, he seemed to become more annoyed, then told me "call corporate." That was it. He gave ZERO f*cks to be even slightly helpful. He also couldn't pronounce Hyundai properly. I've lived in Korea for 15 years and speak fluent Korean. My mom was a religious Honda driver for decades, I convinced her to switch. It's tragic that such a great global brand is represented by total twats at Washington Hyundai. *Sigh* read more

The absolute lack of care for their customers is atrocious and the fact that they would not even show us the part they quoted was the reason for a failed inspection is shady business. There is absolutely no reason to not show the customer unless you were just hoping to get extra business out of someone. Was told I could take my 2022 Gensis G70 to this location. Made an appt to get car state & emissions inspection. Arrived at 7:20am was told they don't open until 7:30am so I waited. Did not pick car up until 5pm. Could not do emissions but charged me for it because they tried? What's that about? No inspection was done I guess because they could not do emissions? Zero rating!!! First so called free oil change they didn't put oil plug in properly. Needless to say motor blew up on highway with my 85 year old mother who has many medical needs with me. Do you know how hard it was on her getting into a tow truck? I do. I witnessed it. Not good. They didn't want to give me a loaner. After making a scene I got a loner. Sad that it takes that for them to make good. Jump to 8 weeks later. Still no car. On my way home from work a driver with no license for at least 18 months DUI related. I was sent to a trauma unit and missed a week of work. All over a bad oil change. Eight months later more problems and bac in for 4 weeks. No loaner. No rental. Not considerate to the customer. 5 months later back in service. Day 2 and they haven't even looked at it yet. It's ok they got their money. Never again from me. Spread the word! read more

Brought my car in to get some recall work done. The two workers there couldn't have been nicer. They told me it would be about an hour, so I decided to take a walk around the shopping center. After about 50 minutes, as I was returning and was approaching the building, they called. Right on time. As I was signing the "in-triplicate" paperwork, the young lady made a statement that my car cleans up well. I thanked her, not thinking anything of it. The young man then handed me a multi-point inspection report, letting me know my rear brakes would need attended to soon, along with a couple filters. When I got home I opened my trunk, and a little water dripped out from the channel. It hadn't rained - where did this water come from? Then I asked myself -- did she wash my car too? If so, then I have just found myself a backup service provider for my Hyundai. It's not often I give 5 star reviews, but this place and these two workers in particular deserve it. We purchased our 2020 Hyundai Elantra in November 2019 from Yvonne Pavlik, and the entire buying process was very good. However, in the first month we had the car Hyundai had to replace 2 defective front tires, brakes, and rotors. The real reason though for this 1 star review is our recent experience with the Service Department. At 12,800 miles and less than 2 years old our Elantra completely died, the same week I had a scheduled appointment for the latest recall of the engine problem. I called service on Monday and told them that the car would be towed there that day. I also reminded him that it was scheduled for the recall appointment on Thursday. By Friday I had heard absolutely nothing from the service department, and to top it off, received a "Missed Service Appointment" email. I called the Service department on Friday 3 times before I could even talk to anyone, and was told that they had NO IDEA where my car was, and that the tow truck driver must have taken it to a different dealership. OMG, are you kidding me! My husband called the tow company who verified that our car was indeed delivered to Washington Hyundai Service Department, and the key fob was handed to a Service Advisor. Long story short, as I could go on about this terrible experience, they found our car supposedly "parked with the used cars" and had to replace a defective battery, and performed the recall check. This was truly the absolute worst experience we have EVER had with a car dealership, and will NEVER go back there for any service or future car purchase.
