Very disappointing experience, especially with Dominic Lill. My appointment was at 1:00 PM, and after waiting to check in, I was told the service would take about 1 1/2 hours. I waited until around 3:30 PM in the lounge with no update or communication. When I went to ask Dominic about my vehicle, his attitude and the way he spoke to me were extremely disappointing. Instead of acknowledging the long delay or apologizing, I felt like I was being treated as if I was bothering him for simply asking about the status of my own vehicle. His communication was rude and dismissive, and there was no sense of customer service. The service itself was eventually completed, but even getting my vehicle afterward was disorganized--I was given different directions about where it would be brought out and had to keep going back inside to ask. Delays happen, and I understand staffing issues, but there is no excuse for treating a customer disrespectfully. I've been a Rohrich Mazda customer for a few cars now, but my truck was from another area dealer. When my need to get a bigger truck came, I really wanted to get it back into one dealership group, so I went to Rohrich again. I was treated fairly, and honestly. The deal was pretty straight forward and they didn't try to BS me. Based on everything my calculations and theirs were only a few Pennies off. The Rohrich team treated me really well, started with Paul, but he was really busy and moved me over to Mike, who was great to work with. Normally once you get to the sales managers the whole thing starts to breakdown, but those guys were straightforward and shipped me a good interest rate (for the current time). If i could give this dealership zero stars I would. They take advantage of the elderly and widows without shame. They way over charge and don't even recognize a new battery when they see one. An elderly lady 88 years old took their car to the dealership. It was an old toyota over 20 years old in exceptional condition. She had two keys made she was charged over $400. They said she had a gas leak and no gas stain on the ground where she parked the car. She never drives it. They originally quoted $1100.00 for a new battery, two keys, and the front part for the gas leak. Outrageous!!!! She asked them to bring the car back to her because she could not. They promised to drop it off and did not. They did not call to let her know that they could not follow through on their promise. This place is after your money. this is the worse dealership I've ever been to, I'm in my 50s and purchased many cars in Pittsburgh over the years. hears the most recent problem my 2024 truck came with a tonneau cover already on it so imagine my surprise when 6 weeks later it was falling apart so I took it back for them to fix the problem and they just took pictures and supposedly made a claim to toyota . Which I never heard back from so finally 6 months later I'm in for a service I had time so I inquired about this issue and there response was we determined that someone tried to break into my truck and was told to make a claim to my insurance. I said with no damage to any of the top or the edges that's your answer !!!! So at this point I'm going to just have this top taken apart to really see the problem. So I saw finally what it was the installer only put rivets on one side of each of the 3 bars that hold it to the truck and the other side of all 3 only had double sided tape. So people if this is what kind of installers and service that we receive from this dealership I advise staying far far away from ever buying anything from them.plus since when do you buy a car and they only give you one key and a bunch of excuses and stories for the reason why? Went to test drive a 2019 Tundra TRD Pro. Met Rorich's new salesman, "B-Rad" who accompanied me on the test drive and afterwards sat down with me to discuss vehicle purchase. He added premiums to the $55k listed price "due to the market." The price they want to sell the vehicle is $62,796. Classic bait and switch move! He tells me "It has low miles. We would rather keep our truck than take your money." A 2022 TRD Pro starting MSRP is $67,505. I did my research and presented it to B-Rad and he gets his manager to tell me they can't help me. Yet, later on in the evening, I get a notification that Rorich ran my credit after I walked away and told them I was no longer interested in the vehicle. I wonder how Jack Hollis, head of sales for Toyota Motor North America would react to this review especially after releasing a statement that "Some of the highest customer satisfaction scores in the entire industry are occurring right now, and everyone's buying a vehicle at MSRP." I am suspicious of car sales persons by nature, as many people are. When I moved back to Pittsburgh I needed to get a car. I really like the Toyota brand and went to several shopping around. I went to Rohrich and met a sales person Paul. in 40+ years of working hospitality, mainly hotels, Paul is the most engaged and hospitable person I've ever encountered with sales people. He actually gets to know you as a person, he's a sales person and is there to make money, aren't we all to some extent? This is the fourth car I've bought from Paul. One time he did something I didn't like and has been acutely aware of my personality traits and truly caters to me, he has more than made up for him being a "corporate" employee since. Least BS of any car dealership I've been to. That's a low bar mind. I wanted to take the car at least one time for service to Toyota since presumably they know their own cars best, and the car had just had a rear-end impact fixed. (Un)fortunately, they found nothing, just an oil change was needed, and tire rotation. The service guy was pretty upfront with me, and pointed out an eventual spark plug change would be expensive (a lot of parts have to come off to reach the rear ones), but wasn't needed any time soon, and we walked away with a very cheap bill reminding me why Toyotas are a good choice. Unfortunately, they tire pressure monitor went off a few days later, and they'd not only put too much air in the tires, but failed to notice that 2 of the sensors were failing (which they should have checked with the rotation), and were replaced the following month when it went for inspection - along with license plate lights which it might have been nice they found too. As I said, wasn't unpleasant, and if there were any repairs under extended warranty, I might take it back, but in the meantime, I'd much rather take to a local place - if nothing else, it's walking distance - or simply do oil change myself. read more

My car has some sort of electrical/wiring problem (the flashers came on overnight and will not turn off). When I opened the fuse door, water came out. I drove it to a local mechanic who told me I definitely need to have it towed to a dealership because it's not safe to drive, and recommended Rohrich. I called them immediately, sat on hold for 15 minutes, when the customer service person finally came on, she made no acknowledgment of the long wait, then told me (without bothering to ask me what sort of service I need) that I couldn't get service "until well into August." Damon was great to work with, we traveled from Eastern PA, so he was very forward with any issues the used '21 4Runner may have had, and was available by text with any questions we had even on his day off. Dealership could have done a better job detailing the vehicle as there was still a lot of white pet hair in the seats and the dash was dirty. The oil was also over full which we noticed when we got home and were able to take care of it. Just noticed this week that the windshield wipers were absolute garbage and needed to be replaced. I feel like that should've been something obvious that quality control/detailing should've noticed. Otherwise the sale went well and Damon was great, and all salesmen should be allowed to grow mullets. read more

Today's visit sealed my decision that whenever I go to replace my Prius or get another brand it will not be here. I had the misfortune of sliding on ice early this am and hitting a guardrail off the road driving at less than 5 mph. I had given myself plenty of extra time to get there but even with every precaution was unable to stop the car. I'm grateful I wasn't hurt. I called the service shop. The lady abruptly cancelled my apt and told me to take it to the body shop of Rohrich Mazda for an estimate. The police came and with their help was able to "free" my car. They advised me to head over there so they could do the work. When I arrived the service department checked the damage and I was glad to learn that there was no mechanical damage. I was told they would do my service interval and they would drive it up to the Mazda shop for a body estimate. Since this was a minor interval the car was done within an hour. I had coupons that were expiring in two days that helped greatly reduce this service. I had been arguing since yesterday on the phone why they couldn't be honored since the weather was bad and I would have rather rescheduled. I ended up with a new salesman who said he had seen my car on that hill where I skidded off while he was headed here to work. I told him I needed to make phone calls since I had previously noted (this place has bad reception for phones-you must go outside or into the dealership). Their internet cafe only gives you WiFi. He said he had the answer to all my problems. "Sell my Prius to them and buy a new one." I just told him I recently bought a Civic and was not in the market at present. The only thing he did do was investigate my coupons and told me they come from Toyota corporate and are no good past their expiration date. I'm sorry, I've been in other extenuating circumstances with other businesses that have overlooked that date and giving me a discount. In addition the service department did not drive my car to the Mazda body shop nor did they reset my maintenance minder on the car even though they told me that they did. This place used to have a very organized service department and was pleased with their work. One of the things I look for when shopping for a car is their service department. I will now seek maintenance closer to my home in the future. As for the estimate, I have taken it to a body shop closer to my home that is an approved facility with my insurance. That shop will be reviewed upon completion of the repair. read more

I also go here for my bi yearly service check because I prepaid for services at this location, and they never tell me what all they did or what they found wrong (if anything). I don't think they check everything they're supposed to because they're supposed to check the windshield wipers, and mine are not in good shape, yet they dont say anything. Initially, we had great service through Rohrich Toyota, and I would recommend buying from them as well as receiving service through them, but it's gone downhill so much that I can't even recognize this as the same place anymore. Clearly, they no longer care about their customers. We were scheduled for routine, maintenance service at 8:30 AM today. We've been calling since a little before noon to try to reach someone who can tell us what's going on with our car. The service rep isn't picking up the phone and no one will talk to us. Now they're telling us that because we dropped the keys and car off last night, that they won't even look at our car until this evening, if they have time, after servicing all other cars. I've been waiting for 6 hours just to hear that you don't have time for your customers. Thanks. I'll be taking my car elsewhere going forward and will no longer recommend Rohrich Toyota. No need to go into detail, but my expectations were not met. I was told what to do and made to feel stupid for not buying the more expensive option. Issues with paperwork led to a week of headaches. The dealership added no value. I wish I paid cash and avoided a single salesperson. Commission sales is absolutely uncomfortable. If you want to provide a retail store that enhances the experience, I suggest paying employees more and dropping their motivation to manipulate customers. Several lack luster service experiences here. Disappointed with the attention to detail - seems like the service department is over worked and/or under staffed. Recently I brought in my car with clear instructions to repair or replace a set of tires that are slowly leaking air and to replace a headlight. I miss a call from them 2 hours after I drop the car off and I call back seven times over the next three hours, leaving messages for the tech, unable to connect with my service technician because he was 'with another customer' every time. He never called me back, either. When I pick the car up they told me they didn't install new tires because they wanted me to approve the new tires. Insultingly, they didn't even inflate the tire with low pressure and I left with the warning light still on! Needless to say I'll be looking for another service dept for future needs. Ways to improve: 1) The service receptionist could have asked me whether or not I wanted to pay for new tires (even though I had already said I wanted to!). Why do I need to vainly attempt to reach a service tech to approve a fix I know I want? 2) Better service departments reach out by text, email, and phone - the lack of a call back (or text!) cost me another day of trying to replace my tires. 3) calling to schedule service is as rigid as booking online, however if you're at the service desk they find little ways to 'squeeze' appointments into the schedule - it's frustrating to know there is a rigid gatekeeper to a flexible process. read more

I called around for estimates from other shops but Rohrich had them beat by a fee hundred dollars and only needed to have my truck for a single day. They did great work and were very helpful when scheduling. The pleasant surprise when I picked up the truck - they fixed my parking brake for no charge. I was then introduced to Kevin Kinsella (Sales). Kevin was able to help me find the right Tacoma for me!!! I drove off in my dream Tacoma. Scheduled an appointment online for a state inspection. Dropped vehicle off the night before for a 7:30am appointment. Never heard from service department so I called around 3pm. I was told they are still working on the vehicle and they would call me in about an hour. When they called they told me the vehicle would not be ready for another day because they had not finished spraying the under body of the truck. I told the service advisor I only dropped my vehicle off for a state inspection. The service advisor said they are doing a recall on the frame and the vehicle would not be ready until the next day. I informed the service advisor I did not schedule the recall to get completed and I need the vehicle for work the next day. The service advisor apologized for the mix up and said it would be ready by 9am the next day. I told the service advisor I start work at 6am and once again he apologized for the mix up and said the vehicle would be ready the next day. When I went in to get the vehicle the next day I asked the service advisor why they did the recall on my vehicle when I only scheduled a state inspection. The service advisor said when you make an online appointment the box is automatically checked that says "do any recalls". I told the service advisor I was the one who made the appointment and he was wrong about the box being checked and I missed a day of work because Rohrich Toyota decided to keep my vehicle overnight. The only response I got was "I don't know what to tell you" and asked for payment on the state inspection. When I got home I went online to see if the box is automatically checked and I came to find out Rohrich took my name out of the system. The reason my name was taken out was so I would not get an email from Toyota asking how my service was. I've purchased 2 vehicles from Rohrich and always got an email asking how my service was after every appointment even if it was an oil change. I've come to find out if the Toyota dealership gets 2 bad reviews in a month they lose the monthly bonus from Toyota I emailed the General Manager and of course he did not reply. I was able to check and see if the recall box is automatically checked and it's not. It's a shame Rohrich Toyota could not admit to making a mistake. But at least they got the money from Toyota for fixing the recall. I am in the process of discussing it with Toyota directly. Way to go Rohrich Toyota. read more

I talked to the service advisor about my problems. Before I finished my list of issues he had already printed the issues. I had two more. issues with my car that were not on the Invoice. I disappointed with the level of service I received from the service advisor Tom who seems completely annoyed with my issues regarding what my car was doing and didn't even completely understand my first two issues.. secondly I get a call from a sales rep about trading my car in and buy a 2021 Corolla for the same price I'm paying now.
