More seriously, during my sleep study, the technician insisted on waking me at 5:00 a.m. because he wanted to go home. This rule requires patients to fall asleep before midnight if both portions of the study--with and without CPAP--are to be completed. According to the records, I fell asleep at 11:58 p.m., yet the full study was still not completed. I must therefore undergo the study again. Whether I will be charged for this second attempt remains to be seen. In any case, because of long wait times, my diagnosis and treatment have been delayed by multiple months.

We traveled from Bethesda to MedStar Washington Hospital Center expecting to receive the care we had arranged. Instead, I was told that I no longer had an appointment because I had supposedly been "dismissed from the practice" due to an alleged incident in 2016, ten years before my scheduled appointment. I had never been notified of this alleged dismissal. No one could tell me what the incident was, who made the decision, why it was made, or provide any documentation or explanation. I learned of my supposed dismissal only after arriving for my appointment. If a medical practice decides to dismiss a patient, there are generally accepted practices intended to ensure the patient is informed and has an opportunity to obtain care elsewhere. Based on my experience, those standards were not followed. The situation became even more troubling when my husband, who had his own valid appointment, respectfully questioned what had happened. Shortly afterward, Dr. Kurzrok personally informed him that he also would not be seen. As a result, neither of us received the care we had scheduled and still urgently need. This experience was not simply about a canceled appointment. It was about a complete lack of transparency, accountability, and respect for patients. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Dr. Kurzrok, The Neurology Center, or MedStar Health. Patients deserve honest communication, fair treatment, and continuity of care, not unexplained denials of care after traveling to a scheduled appointment.

We had Options for Senior Care America for…read moreabout 6 months to care for my dad and we experienced a high volume of call outs, change in aides, and ended with the last no call, no show. My dad has chronic illnesses and cannot manage himself when these unexpected gaps in care occur, which causes stress to the family . Management was responsive but unable to offer long term solutions . I recommend that Options for Senior Care America develop an accountability culture and hire more qualified aides or a contract to maintain continuity of care for their clients . If you do not need reliability then they work, if you do, it's a risk .

Options for Seniors was so quick and easy to work with! His nurse has been a godsend to both of my parents, but especially my father. He's very limited in functioning, and she helps him all day, every day! She also cleans up after him and cooks for both of my parents, since my mother isn't really up to that challenge anymore.
