Dr. Miller is a confident, caring and intelligent woman who impressed me at the seminar with her knowledge and understanding of MY issues. At my first appointment and every other appointment since I have been treated with respect and kindness. The office is state of the art! My appointments were timely and productive. The staff experienced and friendly! I decided the Sling was the best answer for me and I want every woman, young or older, to know what a difference it has made! I can actually laugh, cough, run,and sneeze without leaking! No more embarrassing accidents for me! Before and after my surgery Dr. Miller and her staff were there for me! It was an easy process and the recovery time was minimal. I felt confident that Dr. Miller had my best interests in mind as I went into the operating room. Conveyer belt of a medical practice that doesn't bother protecting patients' health care information. Years ago, they had a ransomware attack and lost all their patient data. All of it. Not only did they fail to protect their patients' healthcare information, but they did not bother to recover it. Their only instincts were to cover their own @#$ and send patients a letter to be vigilant for identity theft ... because they certainly weren't! Dr. Martin Wall has progressively cared less over the years and frequently ran late. The last visit, I waited well over an hour. He told me right when he walked in he didn't have any time for me because his last patient ran long and his lunch was next. He probably spent 2 minutes with me and more or less told me to stick with the game plan and left. He did find the time to bill me though! I won't be back. read more

I would think my review was an exaggeration if I hadn't gone through it. I saw Dr. Elizabeth Miller for an emergency appointment, and that's where the positivity ended. Her office operations are a disaster. I had to call her office multiple times to get them to schedule a cancer-screening appointment they had told me was critical during my surgery -- and each time whomever answered the phone told me there was no record of that. (They later called and said I was correct, and it was their oversight.) Her office has called me multiple times to setup appointments to then tell me they're not the people who can set up an appointment. They've texted me confirmations to appointments I never setup. They even called to cancel appointments I've never setup. I can't tell if this is extraordinary incompetence, laziness or terrible practice management software. It's such a shame, I've previously had excellent experiences at Overlake. This has been horrific -- and this isn't about bad service at a restaurant -- this is literally about someone's life. read more

Dr. Wall ALWAYS runs about 30 minutes behind (even early in the morning) and he doesn't seem to care much about the customer experience. He also books 4-6 weeks out. HIGHLY recommend going elsewhere. read more

I went to Dr. Kavasseri in 2020 with right flank pain, low grade fevers, and general feeling of being unwell for weeks. She did a scan on me, and found nothing wrong with my uro system, but indicated I have a large gallstone. She said this would not be the cause of my pain and left it at that. Didn't refer me to a gastro specialist or anything. I tried to find answers for six weeks. Finally I just started to eat really clean and take any supplement I thought would help. I eventually felt better. Fast forward 8 months and I had to get emergency surgery to have my gallbladder removed. Thanks Dr. Kavasseri for not taking me seriously and missing my dying gallbladder. read more

Dr. Miller and Sara are good medical providers. However, I do not know how much longer I can tolerate office practices, especially the phone system. (A year after Covid is too long to continue to use reorganizing as an excuse for terrible service.) Whether I select "scheduling" or "leave a message with a team member", the wait is usually 15 minutes or more. Just now it was 30 minutes and I still had to leave a voice mail. I hesitate to leave messages as calls are not returned in a timely manner, if they are returned at all. I wonder if the doctor ever reads the comments concerning office staff? read more

She is a calm and gentle person who guides you along with patience and understanding. I can't thank her enough and 6 weeks post-op I feel wonderful. I couldn't ask for more. read more

If I could leave negative stars I would. Previously suffering from kidney stones, I recognized the acute pain and went to the ER. I was referred to WA Urology, where I made an apt to see Dr. Jacoby. She sent me for a CT scan, I received the results in my online medical chart prior to receiving a call from Dr. Jacoby. The results showed a cyst on my kidney and pelvic fluid. Normally nothing to be concerned about, but stated if that is where the pain is, it should be further evaluated. Dr. Jacoby had a nurse from her office call me to review the results. She stated there were no stones and maybe I pulled a muscle, to follow up with my PCC. Being an active athlete, I know what a pulled muscle feels like... I asked about the cysts and fluid I read in the CT results. The nurse placed me on hold and came back and said cysts on your ovaries are normal. I said this is a cyst on my kidney. I was told they don't treat that and to follow up with my PCC. So I'm left in pain with little to no answers and brushed off as someone who clearly doesn't know their own body. Thankful I received the results, had I not, I wouldn't have been given any information from the Dr. Terrible experience and bedside manner. read more

I have been seeing Dr Weissman for my medical issue and I found him to be competent. However, I wish I could say the same about the administrative and billing section. I was asked to come and have an XRay done for my issue after the diagnosis. Having no experience with doctor's offices in this country, I said OK and asked the nurse how to go about it. The nurse instead of telling me that they would send a referral downstairs (to the Imaging lab) told me to come up to the office and see the doctor. So the day of imaging I came to see the doctor as advised. The doctor said this was not required and he needed the XRay only. Now a few weeks down the line, I receive a bill for an office visit on that day. All that was done was the doctor ordering an XRay referral and telling me what the results were. Usually this can be done without any office visit and no charge (the nurse simply calls and schedules an upcoming appointment with the doctor). I am mailing Tricia West who is listed as the CEO of the clinic but have received a cold shoulder treatment from her. For some reason they see the referral as an office visit, and I quote her, "There is an appropriate charge for the services of 12/10/2012, and medical necessity for this service was met. " I have no idea what this means. I sincerely hope that they actually bill the service correctly and do not just see the patients as a source to make money out of by mislabeling services provided. UPDATE: I gave up and paid the charge. Seems like the medical system in this country is broken and I would not want to risk a dispute at the risk of ruining your credit. Highly dis-recommend the administration. They do not even bother to call back about the results of your imaging and you actually had to ask the imaging center to tell you the results. read more

Dr. Elizabeth Miller, urogynecologist,, is the greatest. She's not just doing her job, she's truly making a difference in women's health care and well-being. I've found her to be responsive, professional and kind. Over the years I have seen her many times for different problems and never been disappointed in her manner, attitude or interest and ability to make things better. She has excellent support staff in her assistant, Zenae, who knows and cares about the patients as well and helps Dr. Miller's practice "flow" smoothly. In the procedures room, Kathy, who has been with this practice a long time, has a fabulous manner with patients with her supportive manner and caring. This practice is in the process of merging with another Eastside urology practice and there has been quite a turnover of staff but these three professionals are working hard to see that uro health care needs are met, and with grace. My 73 year old father has been a patient at Washington Urology Associates for roughly 3 years. He has Parkinson's Disease, is not mobile and uses a full time Foley Catheter. Our experience with WAUA has been decreasing in quality (a general lack of information, interest or investment in his health) but our last visit to see Dr. Martin Wall was appalling. We are very realistic about our Father's condition and prognosis (he is in the last stage of his disease) but the genuine lack of empathy or interest was shocking. Dr. Wall asked very little questions, I spoke most of the time repeating different ideas or thoughts his AFH caregiver and us had thought of. He genuinely seemed annoyed by our presence and when finally pressed, gave us a prescription. Come to find out a week and a half later from his Neurologist that the anti spasm medication Dr. Wall prescribed is horrible for Parkinson's patients - especially those with cognitive decline such as my dad. His Neurologist said it was dangerous to put him on and immediately changed the prescription. I specifically asked Dr. Wall if their were side effects that could hurt my father and referenced the extensive list of detailed medications and dosages that we provided. He only mentioned 'dry mouth' and then complained about how irritating writing orders and prescriptions are for people in AFH as the Caretakers are 'going to call no matter what I write'. I'm sorry our father's incurable neurological disease and dependence on others inconveniences you Dr. Wall - we will allow you to get back to your noble work of prescribing ED medication. We will not be revisiting your practice and suggest you work on bedside manner - or better yet, retire. read more

Dr. Weissman gave me the worst experience at a doctors office of my life. I have had over a month of pain and finally decided to see a specialist about it after being diagnosed by 3 other doctors. Dr. Weissman did not even greet me with a hello or an introduction. He seemed the whole time like he just wanted to get me out of his office. At the end of the appointment he told me that the other doctors were wrong and that nothing is wrong with me, and that I should just take some advil and get on with my life. Since a high PSA is an indication of a possible health risk, you would think that the Dr., Nurse or Medical Asst. would follow up. NO! I have made no less than 5 calls to them and rarely get a return call and when I do it is usually 3-8 days later. Yes, I said 3-8 days! When they made me wait for over an hour for my 1st appt. I should have suspected something. When they didn't call me back with my PSA results (as promised) I should have known something was wrong with their Business Model. Now over 2 months have passed, my PSA has risen, I received a bill for a "Non-Routine Procedure" even though it is routine. I am left to fight with them for treatment and now with their billing office. This is the worst Medical experience I have ever had anywhere. These people should not be allowed to continue to practice! I will shout it from the Mountain Tops, DO NOT go here. Period. Nothing that they do or say is truthful, on time or worth what they charge. Go elsewhere. Unfortunately I cannot give them 0 Stars...or I would. EDIT: 2 more weeks have passed since my last call to them. Their response...I got another bill in the mail followed by a LETTER that says I should have my PSA checked. It is indeed curious why they do not respond and change their how they perform services. Being given a really nasty and misinformed runaround by M.D.s about there being no natural nutrition to return my prostate to normal to alleviate the urine block, I searched for urologists with naturopath Doctors. Washington Urology lists one. So I called. I was informed she was not able to see me, that instead I should see their Dr. Wall, M.D. I asked if Medicare would cover the bill, as my retirement is barely enough to cover necessities. The receptionist said she would check, came back to say that no charges over Medicare was seen likely. I called again to confirm the appointment, and asked again about the Medicare covering all the bill. Again, and this time directly by the receptionist, "We do not believe you will have any out of pocket expenses. Maybe I should have been alerted by their refusing to set my appointment with the ND. Dr. Wall was anything but professional. His manner about my natural nutrition was that I am not quite sane, and my personal decisions about my health are "Irresponsible." Then he tried to sell me on immediately signing up for his proven 95% prostate ruining procedure. Not a word about natural nutrition care whatever, nor any word about their own ND urology doctor as an alternative. Then the barrage of payment notices started. Now they call to say that my bill will go to a collector. I told the lady that the first and second calls I made to confirm what the billing would be was that there was most likely none. If anyone wants to trust Washington Urology Associates who is on low income and Medicare/Medicaid, be advised these people are not likely to treat you with due respect. Just do yourself a favor - go to a provider who does not have the rack of complaints these dear souls have accumulated by their deceptions. On top of this, when I confronted Dr. Wall that his use of the now FDA-opposed PSA test for prostate health is bogus and results in over 75% false prostate treatments that cause more prostate cancer metastasis than any natural prostate disease, he laughed me to scorn. He, like all the other M.D. urologists I've been to who all make their highest profits from prostate operations, is so glued on profit taht he cannot be honest about his duty to be fair and correctly informed. With all the late breaking prostate disease healing by non lethal means that leave us men's prostate in full function and return to natural health, it is simply a crime by the medical people to fail to know all the facts and offer the least harmful remedies as first options. Sorry Washington Urology Associates, but you have a long, long way to go before you have any credibility in the healing arts industry. read more

I've been seeing the Dr Wiessman for about 10 years. I first saw him regarding a very high PSA that another Dr. wanted to do a Biopsy. He realized that a recent prostate infection could have spiked the PSA and decided to wait to see if it went down. It went down from 13 to under 3 in a few months. His patients saved me an operation. A week ago I went to him again after I had a lot of swelling of my genitals. They were swollen up 3 times their normal size. An Urgent Care doctor had diagnosed it as "Jock Itch". Dr Wiessman took one look at it and personally walked me down to the ER. It turned out to be an acute Cellulitis infection. This is a life threatening condition that needs treatment right away. From what I've experienced he knows when to be patient and when to act immediately. I do have to agree with the comments regarding the supporting staff in the past. This time however they were great so maybe they've improved. I'm a person that stutters and he's always taken the time to listen to me and give me time to respond. read more

I thought the other reviews were exaggerations. Boy, was I wrong. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF AND DO NOT EVEN GO TO WASHINGTON UROLOGY ASSOCIATES. Please take care of yourself and do not even go to Washington Urology Associates or try to see Dr. MARTIN WALLl. I had an appointment at 1 pm. I would see Dr. Martin Wall at this location. I got a call telling me that there is an urgency and Dr. cannot see me at 1pm. Instead, he will see me if I can come by at 12pm. I am at work, busy with meetings. But I try to be understanding ( I have a lot of Drs in my family too) and tell them I will come by. I leave in a rush to make it at 12pm. I go to the office. At the front bench, I tell them that I got a call telling me that I should come by now instead of 1pm. And they tell me that there is no emergency, Dr. is just having lunch. And I need to wait until 1 pm to see the Dr. When I tell them that I had to reschedule my meetings for this appoinment, they tell me to fill the paper forms, it will take time anyway. At 1pm, I am told that Dr. Wall will not see me today. I need to reschedule. You will be lucky if they acknowledge you. Find another doctor another place. read more

This place is crazy about their arrival of 30 minutes before your appointments. We made 2 appointments and only got there 15 minutes early due to traffic and they turned us away. When I tried to reschedule a 3rd time they refused saying there were red flags on our accounts. They say that the policy is that you have to arrive 30 minutes early to fill out paperwork and when I told them I downloaded all the forms online and they are filled out already, they said I still had to arrive 30 minutes early and when I asked why that is necessary since all my paperwork is done, they didn't have an answer for me and just got pissed off. They actually refused our service due to their ignorant receptionists and there 30 minute policy that makes no sense. Skip this place, if their receptionist takes 30 minutes to check me in, my god how competent can the doctors be? read more

This office is shockingly unprofessional. I witnessed one HIPPA violation when a woman, I presumed was a nurse, started to tell a man all about his dad's medical condition and treatment right in the waiting room. I got to hear all the details on how he was getting a catheter at the moment and all his other treatments. Two men appeared to have been waiting for a long time as they were muttering about how long they had been waiting. The office even advises patients to arrive to their appointment 30 mins. early. I can't imagine how long they must have waited to see someone. Dr. Pelman's nurse rarely returns calls and inspires no confidence. I liked Dr. Pelman. He struck me as being professsional and inspires confidence, unfortunately the rest of the office does not. I would not recommend anyone to be a patient in this office. read more

I had an extraordinarily positive experience with two doctors in this practice, Richard Pelman, M.D., and Thomas Takayama, M.D. I was followed by Dr. Pelman for 2.5 years for prostate cancer and then referred to Dr. Takayama for surgery in Nov 2011. Both doctors were all I could have asked for: compassionate, excellent at understanding and communicating, patient, skilled and wise in the art of medicine in a complicated, controversial area. I had an excellent surgical outcome. Could not be happier with these two doctors. read more
