Gaps, caulking not…read moredone where there are gaps, house wrap exposed, new flashing not put around attic windows, uneven edges of jpanels in areas, bathroom exhaust is under the soffit not coming out like it use to and should be, new electrical outlets installed were never inspected and sounds like not to code, back porch has numerous issues, posts not in contact with cement, nails sticking out, joists not touching the support underneath, cracks in materials, some posts are movable on posts for steps, gaps between spindles are inconsistent, screws were not counter sunk leaving jagged edges. Awning or roofing over back porch was not done. We were told to deal with the awning ourselves. This was work due to hail damage, so insurance coverage. Continually told there were upgrades and they were free. We opted not to have some things repaired due to minor damage and not replacing the shutters. Told by Zach that he never trusted us, said he would put a lean on our house when we questioned the billing. We never said we wouldn't pay. He would not provide us with invoices with breakdown of materials and labor. Said he recorded some of our conversations although we believe this to be a lie, very intimidating and fear tactics used. He used all the money on so called upgrades that he continued to say were free, we don't know what they are. We did do some add ons and were pressured to replace the flashing and wrap around windows and doors after I confirmed we did not want to replace it earlier in the process. He continued to repeatedly talk about siding the entire garage when we told him right away we did not have the funding to do so at this time. He used the rest of the money for garage repairs on these supposed upgrades that again we were told were 'free'. So we have no insurance money not toward garage repairs. Another contractor says he cannot give us an estimate for roofing the back porch because the porch will not pass inspection. When questioned a few times about minor issues he immediately pulled the crew off the job. I am the main contact and doer which he seemed to not like because I am a woman. We didn't say a lot of things because we were concerned he would delay work which he did then blamed us for his crew being behind. Zach said the crew was behind schedule due to our many changes. He said they would do three sides of the house and finish the last side once the bow window was replaced. Instead he waited until late November when the window was installed. We didn't change things. He decided not do do several things he originally said he woukd do that were included in the insurance quote. He actually didn't physicalky do any of the construction work, he subcontracts. I could go on and on. The bottom line is we were taken advantage of and made the mistake of paying in full. We were told we would receive a warranty for the roofing and the certication that they are certified to do that work. We have yet to receive these items and he has not responded to our request. The only thing we got was here is your warranty without any information. ZP Construction submitted one invoice to our insurance and a different invoice to us. Our insurance adjuster has told us this is INSURANCE FRAUD. We are investigating how we should proceed with not having things done properly or not at all based on the insurance quote. Buyer beware! Thoroughly check on licenses, certifications, references, etc before employing a company.

Despite our pleas for help, My Affordable Flooring will not do anything to rectify the situation other than notify/file a claim with the manufacturer/distributor, because this is a "product issue." Below is a recap of our experience spanning over 4 months with delayed responsiveness from MAF. Thousands of dollars spent with no resolution. · 2/27/21 - Called MAF and left voicemail. Explained we are experiencing problems with the flooring and the install was less than a year ago. · 3/3/21 - Contact from MAF requesting pictures of defective flooring. · 3/4/21 - Photos of defective flooring sent to MAF via text, as requested. · 3/8/21 - No update from MAF. Contact to MAF & confirmed receipt of photos. Told that Project Manager (PM) needs to review photos and that "we'll be in touch soon." · 3/16/21 - No update from MAF. Contacted requesting update. Site visit to our home scheduled for 3/22/21. · 3/22/21 - MAF PM visited our home to inspect the defective flooring. Told us they have been getting reports of issues with this particular brand of flooring. He said he will contact distributor this afternoon. · 3/31/21 - No update from MAF. Sent an email to PM requesting update. Received error message reporting his email does not exist. · 3/31/21 - Left voicemail at MAF office requesting update. Rec'd return voicemail stating that office staff asked PM on 3/29/21 for update and didn't hear back. Also informed us that PM's email has not been set up yet and to call him directly. · 4/5/21 - Telephone call to PM. He says someone at the distributor(?) is on vacation and he will file a claim and get back to me this week ((NOTE: he originally said the claim would be filed 3/22)). · 4/10/21 -No update from MAF. Call to PM requesting update. Stated claim has been filed with distributor. PM also explained that MAF will not replace the flooring and it is up to the distributor. · 6/21/21 -No update from MAF. Call and left voicemail requesting call back. We did not receive an update in over two months since the claim was submitted per PM. Email from new office manager stating "unfortunately, there is nothing we can do right now until we hear back from him [distributor] letting us know what's going on".

They didn't install the faucets in the sink properly. There are chips in the tile because they didn't take the spacers out quickly enough. They were late. They left garbage in my garage for weeks. They didn't measure things correctly. Awful experience. I had to be there every minute to supervise or they would have done even more wrong. They were going to use a toxic substance to clean the grout off the tiles after leaving it on for weeks. I had to call the store, the manufacturers of the grout and what they wanted to use, and finally to TELL THEM what they needed to get. Not my job! Don't use them.
