I appreciate the driver is always here early on trash day. Additionally, we had a can tip over, the driver got out of the truck and reset and emptied the can, cleaning up the spilled trash. As a person that grew up with "real" trash men emptying steel cans and doing the hard work, this was no big deal. However in the age when 1 guy drives the truck and never gets out, it was exceptionally above average. read more

They keep increasing the bill, above what other companies charge. They promised to price match, and did for a couple years, then went back on that. And if you try to cancel, they tell you that you CAN'T, it's in the contract -- but the kicker is you know 100% that you never signed any kind of contract with them, in paper OR online. I am not happy with this company. I have a 3 year contract and can not get out of it till the due date. They keep charging you extra fees back and forth for any reason. Was being overcharged by the previous company that was bought out! When I got my bill I was happy to see the amount I originally agreed to. Just got a bill for the rip off amount they conveniently left off, totally unvalidated charge, now I owe more. Tired of being ripped off. Stopping recycling they say. We built a new house in a rural area that does not get city service. I called the city to ask whom they recommend, and I should have asked my neighbors instead. I contracted with Waste Connections instead, and was missed twice very early on. I allowed that; it's a new addition, a new street, a new account. Missed again a couple of months later. I called, she apologized profusely, and no problems for many months. Then two weeks ago after a party, we were missed. I called, she said several customers in my area were missed, we were on the list for the following business day, and we would receive a credit for the missed week. Cool, but they didn't come the next business day, and then they didn't come on my next regularly schedules day. I called and canceled my contract the next day. I'm done with this cruddy service. If zero stars were possible, zero stars they would receive. read more

So after moving into our new home in the Deer Creek area, I've just had an unpleasant experience with Waste Connections Inc. Let me save you the trouble if you are looking for service out that way....don't bother with them. They're too expensive, they don't recycle and if you make the mistake of signing their contract and then need to back out of it a couple of days later...too bad. Even though they provided NO SERVICE AT ALL for us, we still had to pay our way out of their contract just because it was signed. Thanks Kyle. I appreciate that. read more

Like all of the big dumpster companies, Waste Connections acts more like a mafia-owned gang than a service company. They'll park your dumpster 60 feet down the alley from your back door and then refuse to move it any closer. Worst thing of all though is that they'll push a three year contract on you and continually raise the rates for one trumped up reason of another. Added fuel surcharges when natural gas went up to $4 but refused to take it off when they went back to $2. Raised the base rate 20 percent this year (without notice) and when I sent them notice that I wanted to cancel, they said my contract had rolled over 'automatically' for another 3 years and I couldn't cancel... but they can raise the price at will. Avoid these people at all cost and never sign more than a 1 year deal with a dumpster mob and insist on a no-increase contract without mutual agreement. read more

Is 0 stars an option? Waste connections bought out our former private trash company with no notice from either company. They have not picked up three times in 5 weeks (2 recycles and 1 trash) despite the cans being on the curb the night before. After emailing multiple times you only receive automated responses saying someone will contact you. NOPE! I've called to report no recycle pick up 2x, customer service agent proceeded to say "we don't pick up recycling". Then I asked for that can to be picked up and a refund for the prepaid separate charge for recycling I was told NO to both. Customer service agent said my bill won't change even if I got rid of the recycling despite having 2 distinct charges on my invoice for trash cans and a recycle can. I demanded a call from management and was told "Kyle" will give you a call back. NOPE! Now today our trash is not being picked up. Their business model appears to be that of theiving A$$-----, they charge you for services they repeatedly do not provide. Customer service is the absolute worst I have ever seen. read more

If it was possible to give this company a zero I would. The management company of Peppertree Square Shopping Center just recently changed the company that has been picking up the dumpster trash for the past 24yrs. In the 24yrs that we had them in the center our service was perfect. Our dumpster was always placed back in the same position every time. This new company insists on placing the dumpster way down the other end of our building. I called 3days ago and spoke with "Andrea" at the Waste Management Company and she said that the management company for Peppertree Square had given them instructions on where the dumpster is supposed to be placed. If I had a problem with it I would need to contact First Commercial Mgmt(our Mgmt co for the shopping center). I met with John Meek yesterday and he showed me that he had placed 2 orange flags on the fence to mark where the dumpster is supposed to stay. I was extremely pleased to see that Mr Meek had addressed the problem in a timely manner. He also stayed that he would contact the Waste Mgmt co to let them know about the flags and placement of the dumpster. Today I show up to my store to find the dumpster was emptied and moved down to the end of the building again. I called back Andrea and asked her if she hadn't received new instructions on where the dumpster is to be placed. She said she had just received a memo at 10:17am this morning but they had not sent out a work order on it yet. I reminded her that there are 3 tenants that are tired of moving the dumpster back and forth. AND SHE HUNG UP ON ME....!!!!! read more

Terrible customer service! They went back on agreed upon price and would not honor original deal. If you take a risk at using this company make sure you get the deal in writing and hope they don't go back on it! First let me say bottom line you will NOT save any money choosing this company. You may think you will but it will soon be gone with nondescript fees such as "admin fee" Avoid these scam artists at all costs. Their company statement reads "Integrity. We define integrity as "saying what you will do and then doing it." We keep our promises to our customers, our employees and our stockholders. Do the right thing, at the right time, for the right reason." Well apparently making a handshake agreement face to face and signing a contract with declarative language stating a locked in rate doesn't qualify for their promise keeping.
