Carry is a terrible person who solves zero problems for her customers. Loves to share her problems on a monetary level as if I, the customer don't have problems to figure out. She whines and complains while she's getting a salary. I'm a customer with zero resolution and getting false promises before her vacation she wanted me to know about. These guys are the worst! No matter what number you call, you will spend 15 minutes just getting through the phone tree. And then you will be transferred a couple times, and put on silent hold with no warning. When you are able to finally speak with a human, who's located across the country, you will be excessively overcharged, have your instructions ignored, or will be charged again for their mistake. Worst company ever and not jus my opinion apparently wish I would have read the reviews before the o ly way they work hard is finding any excuse not to do the job they do horribly on a good day they have the most random pick up schedule I've ever seen in my life it could be 6 am to 6pm most of the time is lunch time for later then randomly like today you have a guy show up to work on time or something and then you go two weeks with no trash service and no way to get ahold of these morons I hate every single aspect of this stupid company and all the people that work here you make trash life miserable thanks you don't even deserve the one star but I have to pick one read more

This service is absolutely ridiculous! The trash truck completetly broke the trash bin one day, and they did not care. After weeks of reporting the can unusable, they finally replaced it! They replaced it with an already broken can with a missing wheel, that has "pukerz" painted down the side of it..... real cute. We reported that can TWICE, and now have been waiting with this unusable broken trash can for 4 weeks. So that almost two months of service they make us pay for but didn't even leave a usable trash can. DO NOT USE THEM UNLESS YOU HAVE TOO. I hate to bring this up but ! How can you think for one second that one plan will work for everybody ? Anybody with any kind of common sense knows it can not ! Your idea about waste management is to put the management off on your customers . My name is not "Waste Management" it's yours ! So why don't you manage the waste and stop putting it off on the home owner ? You never considered for one second the difference in the age groups . You never considered the elderly man you picks up the cans from his elderly neighbor ladies because they can't ! Now his job is next to impossible because you will not drive down their street ! What about us in our 70's ? We take our cans about 300ft down the driveway . These are just two stories among 100's and 100's . It's hard enough with a 35 Gal. can but now they are 64 Gal. What about when it snows ? Your lack of consideration for the customer can only mean one thing ! Waste Management is in need of some serious management and that's obvious ! Because you have issues on the inside and because of the type of management your making the customer do your job . That job is "Waste Management" and should be performed by the company with the name that matches "Waste Management" . We have come to expect the worst customer service from this company. It's really just a waste of time to call customer service and expect any kind of results. They tell you that a truck will be out there and it never comes, you call again and they tell you the same thing and the truck never comes. My recommendation would be for the city or county to take over waste management in our area and take it away from this private organization that can't do their job! Waste Management misses our schedule pick-up a couple times of year. What gets me is that they BALD FACE LIE, saying the can wasn't out. Sorry WM I have video proof that the cans are out a day or two a head. WHAT WORSE IS THAT THE RECYCABLE CAN IS PICKED UP, THE YARD CAN IS PICKED UP BUT NOT THE TRASH. I sent video proof to WM after the local Chico, Ca. supervisor went along with the BALD FACE LIE, that my can wasn't out. The City of Chico made a deal with WM to not use RECOLOGY WASTE which is probably a mistake. Time to start an online petition to get RECOLOGY WASTE back into the residential pickup in our area. read more

Service on Friday August 4, 2023 at 3388 Vernon Ct Anderson , Ca was on partially completed. The green can was picked up, but the trash was not for a six blocks radius. This was the only service we received. Will there be other adjustment on the account? I doubt it. Is this a service we can expect to receive no explanation. Waste Management is a joke and we are left with no other options. I left the smallest amount of cardboard stick out over my lid and I am being charged a surcharge. While, I NEVER have a full trash can and never reap the rewards for that. Then when you try to reason with them they hang up on you. The customer service woman tried to talk over me and when I did the same to her she hung up. I guess I would too if I didn't have any consequences to my actions. If anyone has any suggestions on garbage service other than Waste Management I'd be open to hearing about them. read more

Waste management, Chico, CA. I called to get my old decrepit can changed out last month. The very considerate person took down all the information and told me my can would be changed out before the 4th. Then the emails started coming---change of service moving the change out for a week, then another email changing it for another week. Well the week has come and gone and I still have not gotten a new can. How hard is it to change out a can? I will begin paying my bill based on my service, which sucks, by the way. I guess you will be calling me now! Absolutely horrible service. we just called and we're told that they have a shortage of cans! A garbage service that does not have cans? why Not buy more? This conversation I had with Waste Management was so amusing, I had to write it down for posterity... I was calling for a bulk item pickup, which is part of the contract with have with WM - up to 5 items per year. Website says to call in at least 24hrs in advance. I'm beyond that barrier, so I get the lady on the phone.. Operator: "You need to call in at least 5 business days in advance to schedule a pickup." Me: "I'm staring at your website that says 24hrs." Operator: "Let me see (30 second pause)...you need to call in 48hrs prior to schedule the pickup. Me: "That's strange. It says something different on your website. Doesn't matter, really. We can wait. I'd like to schedule it for the following pickup day." Operator: "It looks like we aren't scheduling any bulk item pickups while we're doing xmas tree pickup. Next pickup for you item will be next month (3 weeks)." Me: "Oh, ok. I can wait. In the meantime, I haven't cut up my xmas tree yet. What do I need to do for you guys to pick up the tree?" Operator: "Cut it into pieces that fit in your yard waste bin and put that bin out." Me: "Wait. So, you want me to put the tree into the bin that you pick up every week?" Operator: "Yes." Me: "That's fine, but how is people putting their trees into the yard waste bin - the same bin that is already picked up every week - delaying the scheduling of bulk items? It's a bin you are already picking up." Operator: "We aren't scheduling bulk items while the xmas tree pickup is happening." Me: "You know that doesn't make any sense, right?" I laughed and told her "no problem. I'll cut the bulk item in pieces at the same time i'm cutting up the tree. problem solved." Oh, big companies. So much fun. read more

WM of Redding considered Shasta County residential services are nothing more than culprits crooks. Get this crap the bill arrives for January 2023, I was charged an extra $9.24 listed under description as Billing Debit and date 7-1-22. Guess what I paid my bill in July thur Sep and October thur December and now this company decides 6 months later to raise their prices since July 2022 with no written notice sent out to customers. This is a bunch of BS to bill customers six months after they have already paid their bills. You don't have a price increase without informing customers and you don't go back six months to collect those fees epically after those bills were paid in full as stated on the bill. This is literally a culprit scheme that this company is pulling in Shasta County. Then to top it off there prices are way over priced to start with and now paying $81.50 which is for the smallest trash container for one person resident. They are a bunch of crooks and very underhanded at pulling this culprit scheme on customers. I'm thankful to be moving in a couple of months and they can shove this garbage up were it belongs. read more

Driving past a waste management truck a rock flew from the top of the truck and broke my windshield. When I contacted waste management I was called a liar because I didn't get the drivers name. We were driving on Deschutes and the speed limit is 55 mph the rock went straight through my windshield and there was glass on the inside of my windshield so no I did not chase the truck down to get his name. read more

Can not drop off trash receptacles when they say they will to save their lives. When I first moved to Anderson it took them over 14 days to bring me my cans despite them promising me that they would drop them off the next day. I went over 2 weeks with no service due to their incompetence. I waited all day yesterday for an additional can that they claimed they delivered, they did not. Now they say I have to wait another 7 days. Are there any adults working there? Are they drunk or high? read more

Ill give them one star, for picking up about 75% of the time. When they miss you, good luck getting through to someone. Ive wasted too much time calling while at work, hubby has tried calling during their shortened business hours as well to no avail. If you leave your cans out due to them missing you, you run the risk of being fined if someone else tosses something that shouldnt be in them in. When you have to haul your cans 3/4mi to the main road for pick up, its not feesable to haul them back and forth every day in the hopes tbey might get their act together and finally pick up. So sick of paying for a service that is so unreliable, but its the only option unless you store at your home until you have enough to warrent a run to the dumps, which brings its own set of problems. read more

Your basic soulless corporation. They make it difficult to pay online. No, not difficult, impossible, unless you are willing to sign up for autopay. Their due dates force me to pay their bill out of my usual payment cycle. And if you are the least bit late, they don't send a courtesy reminder, they just don't pick up your trash, forcing this heart patient to drag her stinking heavy can 400 feet back home. If there were another option I would take it, but there isn't. read more

Still trying to get a new trash can after the wheel was broken off. Called and they said it will be replaced next Tuesday. Waited for a month of Tuesdays, nothing. Called again and they said next Tuesday it will be replaced but now it's 5 and still no replacement can. They are closed at 4 so maybe next Tuesday? Holding my breath:( read more

The driver for waste management in the first week of October 2019 in Whitmore, California, was driving down the road with the top opened as he collected trash. Which blew all over the roadside as he collected people trash. I'm going to pick it up tomorrow after taking notice to how much garbage is collecting alongside the road in Whitmore. I can't imagine there isn't a hatch that closes the top as the truck proceeds to the next pick up. read more

It has been 17 days since I have signed up with WM and have spoke to the manager at the call center 6 times in 10 days and that gets nothing done. The delivery driver actually came to my house on the estimated day to drop cans and skipped my house! This company sucks read more
