If I could give Waste Management zero stars, I would. Absolutely the worst. months back we requested for bigger garbage bin. Never got that. The few weeks back randomly dropped off a compost bin which we never requested. When we called for them to take the additional bin THEY TOOK OUR GARBAGE BIN. So now we have 2 compost bin and no garbage bin. We have called their office 4 times to get back out garbage bin. They gave us multiple date and still zero service. Their customer support agents are so rude and behaves like they are doing a favor. read more

I called on Monday to replace the trash bin to a bigger size. They picked up the old bin on Wednesday but did not drop the new bin. I have no bin to use, then I called again this morning. They said they only can deliver the new bin on the next service day which is next Wednesday. That is ridiculous. They just let me to put the trash bag on the street for them to pick up on next Wed, they said that if animals tear open the garbage bags and trash is scattered everywhere, they are not responsible for cleaning it up. This company should not be the first choice for residential trash service. They are extremely expensive and do not seem to care whether your garbage is actually picked up. There have been repeated missed pickups, zero communication, and customer service is incredibly difficult to reach. Our garbage has been left overflowing while we continue to be charged for a service that isn't being reliably provided. There should be better options for trash service in Snoqualmie--or at the very least, a higher standard of accountability. This level of service is unacceptable and needs to be addressed immediately. read more

While they are quick to impose additional fees for any extra waste, they refuse to take accountability when they fail to fully empty the bin during scheduled pickups. Waste Management Review - Unreliable Service, but Always Expect Payment on Time If I could give Waste Management zero stars, I would. Their service in Snohomish County has been completely unreliable. They missed a full week of garbage pickup due to a small amount of snow, and now they're set to miss four weeks of recycling pickup--all while expecting customers to keep paying their bills on time without question. Apparently, customers have all the responsibility (paying the bill promptly) while Waste Management has none (actually providing the service we're paying for). There's no real accountability, no proactive communication (other than hey we will not pickup your garbage) , and no effort to make up for their failures. A little bad weather, and they disappear, yet they're quick to send reminders when your bill is due. It's frustrating that they hold a monopoly on trash service in many areas, leaving customers with no choice but to put up with their poor service. They will miss a pickup due to holiday or snow then after 2 weeks they will charge you for having an over filled container. Of course its over filled i git 2 weeks of garbage crammed in there. Also they skipped us from a "contamination" even through they never checked just drove right past. Recently the completely skipped our coldisac and said tge bin was not at the curb. Even their own pics on the site showed it was. We had to complain to get them to come back. Sometimes i wonder what im even paying for and if i should just haul it myself. read more

This company in Snohomish County does not reliably pick up trash on their scheduled dates, (this is NOT dependent on weather either--they simply don't show up on scheduled service days) but always expects their payments. Cheaters In early February, we had snowy weather in Western Washington. WM sent me an email informing me that service would be paused, which I have no problem with. Pickups did not resume in 2 weeks, by which time we had built up quite a load of recyclables. When the recyclables were picked up 4 weeks later, I had to pile boxes of material on top of the bin. Their communication system is flawed. I thought I had my service suspended after calling the WM agent at the number on my account. Agent verified my account and address and said it's "done, keep your bin". A couple months later I got a bill with charges for continued service. Disputing this, I was told there is no record of my call. I told them the WM phone number and date I called but they didn't care to research that. Also, when I call, the robot says my service address associated with my phone number is my house from six years ago. read more

If you can avoid using WM, do. They are terrible. They didn't pick up our garbage yesterday, they said their dispatch found it too dangerous. There is nothing to be dangerous. Please explain your complaint in detail: WM picks up my garbage on Thursdays. They skipped 2-4-25 because of the snow. They said they would pick up double on 2-13-25. They picked up my neighbor's garbage but did not pick up mine. I called and was on the phone for 22 minutes while the woman tried to figure out why. I called again on the 14th and the recording said my garbage had been picked up. It had not been picked up. I called again and Jasmin said it would be picked up within 24 hours. It was not. I called again on 2-15-25 and the woman said she would get it picked up. I called several hours later and spoke with a supervisor after being on hold for over 20 minutes again. The supervisor said " they don't work weekends". She said my garbage will not be picked up until Monday 2-17-25. I have a garbage container and a garbage trash bag and it's going to rain lots this weekend and may make a mess in the cul-de-sac. I cannot go and bring it up because I'm 83 years old, need a new knee and use a walker. I pay my bill on time and expect service but do not get it. This company sucks. I called early in June to set up service for my first home purchase. The lady was very friendly and walked me through all the options. I felt really good about them dropping off containers on June 28th, nearly a month after my initial request. On the day they were scheduled to arrive, no cans showed up. I called Waste Management and was informed that there was a bin shortage and I would not be able to have a trash can or a recycling can until July 19th. The woman on the phone told me "I actually cannot guarantee you will have cans on the 19th, I can just confirm you are scheduled to have them delivered on that day". Apparently they called from an automated number about 5 days before the scheduled drop off, but I did not see a missed call or a voicemail. There solution was for me to put my trash on the curb, in the measurements of the cans I requested, and they will come pick it up. FOR A MONTH. The last thing I wanted in my new home was my trash sitting by the curb and getting attention from my new neighbors. She told me I could go buy containers, but they would still deliver there own containers when they were able. There was no way to cancel the WM bins and just use my own for there service either. I was irate. I canceled my "service". Today my partner contacted WM to get us back on the schedule. He was OK with organizing our garbage nicely for the month. The lady on the phone today said she had never heard of a bin shortage, and that she had us on the schedule for July 5th. Who knows if we will get the bins on that scheduled day or not. It just seems like they are over selling services they cannot fully provide. I will modify this review when I get my garbage bins. read more

This service is the absolute worst. They will suspend your account for no reason and they will also not let you know via email or mobile that this happened. They will make up some random excuse that they left you a voicemail, and the quality of that customer interaction really sucks in the value you are paying for. For two weeks they have skipped our trash and recycling without saying anything or a reason why. Our area does not have any dumpsters or recycling facilities where we can do this ourselves if this service decides to skip us. We were in the dark about why we were being skipped over. No email, no phone calls, no text messages, no note on the trash of reasons why it wasn't picked up. I went to my account and there was no flag on the account that it was suspended, so the overall service is really bad, and I feel stuck as it's the only one that caters to my area. Must feel nice to steal people's money and not do the job that you have promised to do. Must feel nice to walk all over people and make their mental health suffer with little to no communication. There have been so many services recently that try to keep the veil on customer's knowledge just so they could get their next buck. This is one of those services I guess. They are leeches and there's nothing you can do about it unfortunately. read more

Twice in 2 years they dumped my personal garbage can in the truck. Their solution is to credit my account 15 dollars. That buys you nothing. The call center folks are nice but you have a call wait time of 40+ minutes. It's difficult to get someone to call you back. Since the contract is with the city the homeowner has no alternative. You can tell they aren't reputable or trustworthy when they have a class action waiver as part of their terms of service. Didn't come get my trash this week (yard waste came by though, and it was raining on our normal trash day) and then wouldn't credit my account, so now I get to hold onto a week of trash because they are too lazy to just come out an hour later to avoid ice at 5am that was gone by 6am. Because it was raining. The whole garbage collection contract situation in cities really needs to change. There should be alternatives, you shouldn't be forced into an agreement with a shady company that hates its customers. read more

The worse customer service, the worse service. My garbage was not picked up on the regular pick up day because of weather. They are not going to pick up my garbage until next week, on my next regular pick up day. I have a full bin. No refund for the missed pick up day. Their solution is I can put out as may bags as I want. The wildlife is going to love that. Sending the invitations to the raccoons right now. The customer service sucks big time, they just don't answer the phone. The only way I was able to reach them was through online chat. I am not happy. And of course they are the only garbage pick-up agency in town. It isn't snowing anymore and our area is clear, they could pick up today, like they do on holiday weeks. I am so angry. I would give them no stars if I could. Absolutely no communication about delayed pickup due to weather. It's been 3 days since my usual pick up day and crickets. And just try to get someone at WM on the phone! Took me over 5 minutes to get past the robot, and I've been waiting for a live person for more than 45 minutes. I'd give up but want to see if anyone will ever answer. No doubt there will be no refund for a missed pickup and their solution of just leaving out extra bags is inane. They are a fraudulent company, who I can only assume maintain their basically monopoly in the city by some sort of - special relationship - with someone in the city. They are that bad. In our case they overcharge us for broken container for 8 months. Every time they did bring a fixed on they said - "supply chain", or "understaffing". For 8 months. Just a terrible company all around. Didn't pick up trash one week and are refusing a refund saying they picked up the next week. How? I had to get rid of the garbage to avoid animals getting it!! Your website says you have WEEKLY pick ups but when you call in because they didn't come, they say oh, well we will pick up next week so we don't have to give you money back, which does me NO GOOD cause I have no where to store extra trash! Plus it is the ONLY trash collection company that when they don't pick up or there is a holiday they don't come the next day or 2 days later, they just say, screw the customer let them deal with the smell, mess and clean up but they still owe us even though we didn't do our jobs!! read more

The billing side of this company is horrid. Went online to our home account and could not get a container added. We had to call and have the company add one (after a long auto answer system and then a long wait for a person). Container came, but could not get it picked up in a timely manner, the person that schedules put the wrong month, and we had long times on hold. Finally it was gone, then no bill. It was supposed to be added to our auto pay account, but never was. A woman calls me and tells me we need to pay the bill. I tell her it is not on our account and we never got a hard copy. She apologized and takes my payment over the phone in full. Next thing I know I am getting a late charge! No thanks, I will never use their container services again. read more

But, the recycle truck came today so hopes were high. Hours passed and I started calling only to be told that service WOULD occur today. Fat chance. I don't know why one of their trucks can drive the street and the other can't. And, they could care less. It's the only service in the area and we are at their mercy. I cannot believe how they consistently overcharge me saying I had extra when I have never had extra or saying the lid has been up when I make sure it snaps shut. when you finally managed to get them on the phone you always and I mean always get disconnected and they do not call you back. If I could give these bastards zero stars, I would do it! How did we end up with such a PEDANTIC garbageman? We decided to save some money, and bought our own trash can. Well, it turns out we were signed up for 35-gallon service, but the can I bought is a 38-gallon, and now we're being charged for an extra bag every week EVEN IF THE FREAKING TRASH CAN'S NOT FULL! I can't tell you how insanely furious this makes me. Also, once we forgot to pay our bill. They "shut us off". We paid up, and everything was good, except their damn collections computer called my husband EVERY DAY for MONTHS. He talked to multiple human customer service types, who claimed to have fixed it, but it never worked. Finally my husband called and talked to a supervisor's supervisor and they were able to get the calls stopped. They come really early Monday morning, ~6:45, waking us all up with their shrieking brakes and slamming sounds. And of course, if you hear them and realize you forgot to put the cans out, you can run outside in your pajamas... and that bastard driving the truck will LAUGH AT YOU. Yes, he did in fact LAUGH at me in my flip-flops and jammies. One of the nicest things about moving to Bellevue next month is that we'll switch to Rabanco and we will leave behind the garbageman from hell. Anyone have any ideas about mean things we could do on our way outta here?
