After A LOT of shopping and comparing, I was very comfortable purchasing my new Audemars Piguet, Royal Oak Offshore from Nick and Shane this evening. Nick even stayed late to accommodate my schedule. They kept the store open for about 1/2 hour after they normally close, which meant the security guard had to stay too. I was concerned I would be paying a Newport / PCH tax because of their beautiful location, but they ended up being the best deal around, by a considerable margin. Questions were quickly answered by Shane through their Instagram account, which was cool. Considering this watch cost as much as a car, it's incredible how easy and comfortable the entire transaction was for me. I'm not wealthy, so this was a big deal to me. Im not sure I would've been able to go through with it if everyone wasn't so cool. Also, they were able to service my old Breitling for a fraction of what Breitling charges. When my wife called to inquire about a Patek Philippe that was listed on Chrono24, my wife said that the man (who turned out to be Nick) was super nice to her. He said that a lady named Juvi will take care of us when we come the next day since he was not going to be in. The next day we drove to Watch Expo, which is right next to Ferrari of Newport Beach. The store is fairly big and there was a security guard at the door to let us in. We met up with Juvi. Juvi was super nice and professional. There was never any pressure of any kind. When I tried the watch we inquired about, I was unsure and asked to see other Pateks. She showed us a half dozen other Pateks in the store and a couple Audemars Piguets. I fell in love with another Patek and we were offered a deal we could not say no to. Even now, prior to typing this review, looking Chrono24.com for the same watch, our purchase price is lower than most of the other listings. Moreover, they replaced the strap with a brand new original Patek Philippe leather strap! The watch is unpolished but in mint condition with all papers and box. Thank you so much, Juvi and Nick. After calling dozens of watch stores in Orange County looking for a special leather band for my husband's Omega watch, I spoke to a friendly person at Watch Expo who said they may have one that would fit. I had passed this place driving down PCH everyday on my way to work and back but never really knew it was there. Upon arrival at the store, the guy was super friendly and had the exact band I needed. He had the watch strap attached quickly and was so hospitable while I waited. I honestly would have paid any price asked for the watch band, and the manager knew that I was desperate, so he easily could have jacked up the price. I would like to share an exceptional experience that I had purchasing a difficult to find Patek Philippe from Watch Expo. I reached out to Paul and Nick in the midst of a nightmare situation with another dealer where I was promised a new/unused Patek but received a drop-shipped watch that was clearly preowned and had the wrong paperwork! I searched North America for another dealer with the watch and simply could not locate one. Then I stumbled upon Watch Expo via their eBay store. They had the specific Patek in stock (uniquely, not unworn but a mint condition piece that had been purchased new from an AD as a Christmas gift and exchanged back to the same AD 3-4 weeks later). A rare find! I called Paul and Nick to inquire about the watch and they were simply terrific. Paul took the time to walk me through the story behind the piece, why he chose to acquire it for his inventory, and gave me a very detailed summary of the condition of the piece, boxes, paperwork, etc. Further, upon explaining my situation, Paul and Nick held the watch for me for nearly a week while I processed the return and refund for the original watch (and I didn't even have to ask them, they held the piece out of courtesy). Watch Expo delivered the watch promptly and it was as Paul described. Virtually brand new and stunning.
