I had a Cartier, and Movado watch for my husband that needed batteries and I honestly had no idea how much it would cost because I've always gone to the same place for 39 years. They no longer do batteries. My husband googled after the fact how much was the going price! Movado-$20-60! The Cartier- $60-100! I paid $70 for Movado and $125 for Cartier! What an absolute rip off! A Swiss made Hamilton whose hands had fallen off was repaired the same day. Batteries were replaced, watch bracelets were repaired with parts on hand at this rare little watch shop. I found this place as part of a Yelp review and it turned out to be a real find. Eric who runs the place is a true master craftsman of watch repair and rebuilding. I recently brought in a 50 year old Seiko dive watch and he did a total rebuild of the watch and it turned out great. He's also a genuine font of knowledge about older watches. Great guy and excellent high quality work. Be warned, this is not some discount repair guy so expect to pay for his expertise and get an estimate! Eric was great. He took the time to listen to me and my concerns for my late father's time piece. A vintage 1960s Zodiac Sea Wolf watch that had been sitting in a box of junk for the last 50 or more years. The watch had seen alot of use since my father was a submariner back in the day. The only thing I will not do is try to mess with the movement (or battery, if applicable) - basically anything that has to do with removing the case back. I recently moved to the area, and this was the first watch repair shop I found. After this visit, it will be the only watch repair shop I go to. Stellar service, explained every option available to me, and didn't make me feel obligated to purchase an expensive service.
