Great experience all around. Called this morning to inquire about their hours. Afraid I wouldn't make it after work. The owner, Fidel, took the call and was very gracious and offered to stay later if I wouldn't make it on time. He knew the kind of work I needed, which wasn't costly work, but he still offered. He told me not to worry; that it would happen and I would be able to get it done in time before I left town tomorrow for my daughter's graduation. I was able to make it with enough time and he did the work in five minutes. He charged me $10 an offered to resize the watch if for any reason it did not fit my daughter. My favorite watch needed some repair, as well as a newer watch needing to have a few links removed, and I stumbled on this place and I'm glad I did. Although a little inconveniently located, in a small retail strip on Bird Rd with small signage, they were happy to help me out. I brought my watches here the other day to replace the battery and took advantage and replaced the Glass that was broke on one of them. The service was fast and after 20 minutes I was out of there. I believe I paid around $65 for everything. Of course the glass was the most expensive part, around $45 I believe but I paid it gladly. Wow, are the reviews for this place correct! I was going to a wedding in one hour and had no watch. I wanted to wear my favorite watch so I found this place on yelp I read the reviews and then headed over. I arrived at 2:15 I explained that I needed at least one battery of my three watches so as to have a functioning watch. Fidel pleasantly and confidently said not a problem all 3 will be instantly done for you. At 2:28, I was leaving the place with all watches replaced at a nominal fee of $10 each. It's rare nowadays for a business owner to quote you a price, I'm out of time for service and quality of service confidently as well as deliver on what they say. I took six watches to Watch Repair. Practically all of them needed new batteries, a few needed to be sized, and ALL of them needed the correct time displayed. The shop was easy to find because it was right on Bird Road (SW 40th Street). Parking is tricky though because there is only one way to enter and exit the strip mall and there aren't very many spaces to park. Aside from that, the service I received was excellent. The staff was friendly and ready to help me right away. I was informed that my watches would be ready for pick-up the next day. They were ready as promised and when I went to pick them up, they charged me $10 per watch. I was also informed that because I had more than five watches, the sixth one was repaired free of charge; I was thrilled! I had Fidel do a disassembly cleaning on my older American made B W Raymond Wrist watch by Elgin. I wasn't sure about how his price compared to other watchmakers since none are left in my home town. But when I got the watch I was more than pleased with his service. The crystal and SS case looked like new and the watch is keeping time within the Railroad standards it was designed to do. I will be sending him another one. As a side note, the phone number listed here is good but the web site is not. It doesn't tell you anything about the shop. read more
