I totally forgot how majestic and beautiful these animals are. Upon entering, we were greeted by Ania who turned out to be our instructor/guide for our trail ride. Upon checking in, we grabbed horseback riding helmets and Ania walked us through some basic instructions and what to expect on the trail ride. It was great to learn how to push the horse to move, stop, or speed up. My horse was Eleanor, a grey Mustang Mare. She was super friendly and easy to ride with. The trail ride includes scenic bridle paths in Loantaka Park and we even picked up the pace and trotted a couple of times which was amazing to experience. Definitely one of my favorite activities I've done in 2025. I can't recommend Seaton Hackney Stables enough!

Consider more for recreation than a way to learn. We've been riding with Seaton since 2024 and have unfortunately had a mostly unpleasant experience. The place itself is beautiful and convenient, and hence the 2 stars. The teachers are a mixed bag. Most are high schoolers who probably get credits for teaching. Some of them are good as teachers and with kids and others are average. Classes are quite disorganized. When we'd ride, we would arrive on time and wait around for the teacher to get the horse cutting classes by anywhere from 15 - 20mins. We also had situations where we were assigned large horses for very young kids in spite of requesting smaller horses / ponies in the notes. Lastly, their systems are quite poor. We bought each of our girls a rider card but there is no portal or communication around usage, billing, expiry etc. The previous management (Wendy) made up for the lack of organization at Seaton through passion and customer service. However, the new management seems more commercially minded and more inexperienced in terms of dealing with customers, miscommunication, accommodating loyal customers, etc.

But Stoneview is definitely the longest time my horses have been boarded. I hope it's like home for them by now. I love the people at Stoneview Farms. It's no drama, no bossing, no rudeness, and no stress. Stoneview Farms is a place where people come to enjoy their time with their horses. I really appreciate that. The schedule is very open but I always check for availability on special days. So far I can visit my horses anytime: 8 pm or 6 am. On holiday days or weekends. This is important since I live 35 miles away and I have a very busy schedule. The barn is kept extremely clean. The horse stalls are 14x14 large. Perfect for really big horses like mine. It has windows that are open in the summer. It never really gets too hot in this barn. I think it is because of the altitude of its location. There is always a nice breeze. The farm also has a large arena, a round pen, a jumping field and a track. The horses are not crowded in their paddocks which means there is plenty of green landscape for our equines to enjoy. The Taddeo family and their employees work tirelessly in improving the previously neglected farm. Every month there is something new, something improved and it makes everyone happy. Its already a gorgeous farm that suits our pocket sizes. Some boarders are serious horse people. They will ride under any weather, and their horses are worked almost daily in their skills. That is always inspiring to me. Some horses there are retired but they look very happy and cared for by their owners. Some horses belong to Eric Taddeo and these are race horses that are worked out almost daily. I really enjoy seeing all this activity. But nobody is preaching and its a very relaxed atmosphere without die hard rules. I do recommend this farm. It's a pity they don't have an indoor or a warm space to hang out in the winter with my children. But I'm certain that eventually it will happen... I love their new instructor Laura Juhlin and she has brought in so much business by teaching horse ridding to children and adults. She is also very easy going and knowledgeable of her horses. I met met so many amazing new people and love going to the barn. I recently started leasing a gorgeous horse named Fred who I have learned so much from. Sara matched me up perfectly with the best boy. Even though I have only been riding for a short time, Sara's training and love has allowed me to win champion at my first two shows - WEC Ohio and my first ever show. They also had a couple of fall lessons over the last few years. She tried to book lessons for a weekend in October and was very aggressively pursued by a young teenager giving lessons to book. Although the price was now much higher, she decided to book 2 half hour lessons for the girls ($200). She was charged $2,500 for some package. The teenager had referred to a package but it was not clear to my daughter that she was being asked to sign up. How do you charge a person that amount without any indication that this charge is being applied to review? What kind of sales strategy is this to make young teenagers hound clients to lure them into a package deal that is not fully explained and charged to their account without giving them the opportunity to review charges and agree to them? This is a scam!
