I am so surprised at the low number of reviews for the Water Ice Station. It is an absolute staple here in Pitman. The water ice menu rotates flavors, but they almost always have vanilla, chocolate, cherry, and lemon. My personal favorites are the strawberry lemonade and the mango. They have soft-serve and hand-scooped ice cream as well. Pro-tip a gelati is the best of both worlds with any flavor water ice and any flavor ice cream you want. The owners are also so kind and the workers are usually just as kind local teens. Truly the best water ice anywhere close and great service. read more

Man, when I lived in Pitman, I would hike over to the Water Ice Station from my apartment and tear up on some water ice. I started going there right around the time Rita's became popular and I remember thinking how much better this place is than Rita's. The Water Ice Station's water ice is more authentically fruity. At that time, the water ice actually had pieces of fruit in it (don't know if they still make it like that now though.) I loved it. Obviously they have custard and other frozen treats as well. Downside to the place is two-fold. One is no seating. Two is virtually no parking. Parking is a problem all over Pitman. The street this is on is very narrow and there's only a precious few spots. You're better off parking a block away and strolling through historic Pitman on your way to get your water ice. read more

I have been going to this place since I was a kid, and I make a point of visiting several times whenever I'm back in the Pitman area. The staff is super friendly. The water ice, custard and snacks are delicious. This is the best water ice place you'll find in all of South Jersey. My personal favorite: Try a mango gelato with vanilla soft serve. It's soooo yummy and tastes super fresh. A cheese-filled soft pretzel goes perfect with it. Their Facebook page is updated regularly for checking when they're open every season--I was so glad to see they were open this March when I was back in the area for a wedding. I can't believe this place only has 9 reviews so here I am. I have loved these flavors and staff for as long as I can remember. It's consistent. For the past 25ish years they always have the great water ice and consistent service :) my favorite flavor is honeydew. read more

Such a cute little spot. We stop in once a week or so, they have a nice big parking lot and picnic tables out front so you can relax and have a cool treat. Staff is always friendly and happy to give out samples. read more

I've always loved the water ice station. Honestly think their water ice is wayyyyy better than Rita's!

I stick to water ice or a gelati when I come here. You can't go wrong with one of those. My favorite flavor water ice is honeydew that you don't typically see anywhere else. We had previously tried the root beer float which consisted of them handing us a bottle of root beer and a milkshake. It was funny to say the least but we won't get that again! Prices are pretty standard and they only have outdoor seating. Water ice flavors change daily for the most part and if you're waiting for a favorite check their Facebook posts for the daily line up. They also have a truck where you can find them at certain fairs and food truck festivals. Staff is always friendly. Overall, not a bad stop for a water ice! I would definitely recommend to a friend! read more

The Water Ice Station is less satisfying than most ices I've tried in the area. They do have a lot of god flavors, but for my old school Philly standard in water ice, these ices are a bit on the slushy end of the spectrum, more like the vintage Mr Misty, Arctic Rush, and Freeze drinks at DQ. Certain to cool you down though if you're in the area during summer heat! read more

Great place! It doesn't look like much but it's a diamond in the rough, a true small town secret. It's really unfortunate they have minimal seating which is surrounded by a busy parking lot on all three sides - this makes for a bad atmosphere and also makes me nervous as a parent since dozens of kids are walking/running around in a dark and busy parking lot. It's a busy place in the summer and hopefully one day can address the seating area. read more

I was devastated (ok, maybe too strong an emotion) when I thought the Water Ice Station had gone out of business. Turns out they had relocated and somehow I had missed their move. Took me a year to figure this out and I missed a whole season of eating the best water ice I have ever had. So much better than the national chains. It is almost liking having a frozen version of your selected fruit. Truly great stuff. I go there at least once a week. Their lemon water ice is my all time favorite. read more
