I frequent to this store often, it's actually my main place to fill up. There is a water store closer but I like the price given for 100 gallons. Service is polite, not women are friendly and helpful. It's clean and close to a drugstore and grocery store, nice mom and pop place. Clean water. Note* do your best to get there a little after posted opening hours, if you do get there early or on time try to pass up the wait by doing a little grocery shopping or prepare to wait in your car for a bit. read more

We decided to buy a 5 gallon refillable jug to save money instead of constantly buying 24 packs of water. It's cheaper to refill the 5 gallon jug than to even buy ONE 24 PACK. HUGE savings in the long run. Really nice staff, good water, awesome price. Love this place. read more

On today's trip to the Water Store to get some delicious water, I pull up, park and walk to the door with an empty 5 gallon bottle in each hand. There was a sign on the window saying they ran out of water. I thought this was a joke. How could the Water Store run out of water? But it did. (Check out the cute note I added in the pictures.) I know the city is cutting back on water, but chill out my dearest Water Store. I don't like relying on Sparkletts, Culligan or any other type of water delivery. I think it's unnecessary to have another bill come from a water company. Plus, my house doesn't have enough room to store extra bottles. Not to mention, I think those self-serve water wells in random parking lots or near grocery stores are unhygienic and kinda freak me out. In my opinion, this store has the cleanest and freshest tasting water due to their sophisticated filtering system. I pay $20 every few months and refill whenever I run out. It's convenient and the lady at the cashier is always helpful. I can clean the empty bottles, fill up and roll them out on a cart without feeling queasy about sketchy cleanliness. The store is nearby and cheaper than getting my water delivered. Please notice the category this business' review was placed in. I added the frozen yogurt category because the owner will be serving frozen yogurt within the Water Store in the forthcoming weeks. If they couldn't help me today and if the problem exists next week, then this store will become obsolete to me. I am lactose intolerant. If you don't have water, your frozen yogurt won't be able to give me the refreshment I am seeking. I'll let the Water Store's betrayal slide today. Although I think my house's water filter isn't as refreshing, at least it has water. I hope this predicament doesn't occur again. It's like going to Roscoe's Chicken and discovering it's out of chicken, or a bar without any drunks, or going to a carnival with no carnies. It doesn't happen. Yes! They have yogurt! Nice clean place. Six choices: Strawberry-Banana, Vanilla, Tropical Fruit, Very Strawberry, Pistachio, and Chocolate. I chose the Tropical Fruit. It was yummy. They only have one size of cup, and it's huge, but the nice young lady at the counter let me use a water cup for portion control. $1.54, I think. It was the perfect amount. Overall, great experience. Literally dumped my water down the drain tasted so bad. I usually get water from the Lakeside store which normally only costs me 6 bucks for 16 gallons, here I was charged $11.50 . The water I normally drink tastes way better. read more

I cannot say how much I love this place enough!! One of the lady's (don't know her name unfortunately) helps me from time to time when I come in on weekdays and it's such a delightful experience. She sounds like she's just a ball of happiness and it ways brightens my day! Aside from the service which is perfect there is of course the water. The water has just the right amount of that mineral "sucking on a penny" taste, for lack of a better term, and yes you know exactly what I mean by that taste! I have an account with them and you can prepay for gallons. I prepaid 50 gallons and the price break as opposed to buying it each time you fill up was like 25 or 30 cents a gallon I think, but don't quote me on that. Either way it's totally worth prepaying if you come often. I highly recommend this place. read more

The water here is good and inexpensive. They also have a purifying system that they claim is stronger than bleach non-toxic. The problem I have with this place is that they ask you to respect their hours but they don't respect the customer enough to follow their posted hours. I took a picture of their hours and they opened the door for me. I finished before 7 and the employee walked out with me. It was a little disappointing to me. I'll probably still come here but it's still silly to see their "rules". Also they are not open on New Years Eve, which is ridiculous, but whatever. read more

My husband and I recently decided to stop buying the Costco bottled water. We were producing too much waste and the two flats of water we were buying was taking up too much room. We have a Brita filter on our faucet but I still think the water tastes nasty. I remembered seeing this store in our local Von's shopping center so I headed over one afternoon to check it out. The owner immediately greeted me and she helped me pick out the perfect size container for us without trying to upsell or anything silly like that. She installed the water spout for me, showing me the correct way should I ever need to do it myself, gave me advice on how and when to clean it, used their super disinfecting system to clean the container, then gave me a free fill on my new 3-gallon container as well as the 64oz. small container I bought for my every day use. The owner is very friendly, cares about her business and her customers, and will remember you when you come back. We ended up going through our 3-gallons in a week so when we went back to fill up we also purchased another container. The store is immaculate and every time I've been in the owner has been busying herself keeping the place tidy. They do sell yogurt although I've never tried it. When I was in last night I saw some sort of Greek yogurt berry and also a coconut/pineapple flavor, both of which sounded awesome. I'll have to give it a try very soon. Some helpful info: * They charge $.35/gallon * Containers start around $14 (2-gallon) and go up to around $25 (5-gallon) * They do sell decorative ceramic and professional coolers for around $38 * They also sell many personal water bottles for every day use * The store offers multiple account options for filling your water. The lowest is $5 for 17-gallons * The have two disinfecting stations available for customers to clean out their water containers * They sell replacement parts (i.e. water spouts) * There is a 24-hour refilling station in the front window for all your late-night water needs * There are carts available at the front so you can easily transport your filled water bottles to your car I'm such a fan. This place is not only a water store that sells the most fabulous water in town @ a fraction of the price of other bottled water carriers...its an inviting, welcoming, fun place to visit. I was never into buying "special" water but after trying a sample of this stores water I went all in. I have officially become a water snob:) ;) The owner is probably one of the sweetest people I have met in a long while. She remembers her customers names and helps them fill their large bottles with water. And if she isn't there her employees are stand up people! My son loves the frozen yogurt. And they have a good selection of flavors and toppings. Not the full selection You would get at a yogurt shop, but for a water store it's great. We went here for the first time today to get water. We bought 50 gallons. The water store was clean, and the areas to wash the bottles and fill them was very clean as well. The young lady behind the desk explained what the best deals were, and was helpful and friendly. The water has a fresh clean taste. She told me that this water is Helix water (which I figured it was) and just filtered. I had a question which she was unable to answer...Does their system remove the FLOURIDE that Helix water puts into their water? We prefer not to have flouride in the water we drink for health reasons, so this is an important thing for us to know. The three page packet she gave me did not answer this question, nor did their website, or their Facebook page. I was told when researching a home RO system that these processes do not remove the flouride. I was disappointed that someone working at the store could not answer this simple question. This can't possibly be the first time someone has asked about this. 5 stars for clean store and friendly staff and good tasting water, but 1 star for not knowing if the water has flouride in it. You can open an account and for $20 you get 50 gallons at $0.40 per gallon. It's not a crazy amount of savings but I like that you don't have to worry about bringing change! read more

The staff is always friendly when I go and the price is reasonable. I have an aquarium and I use some of the water I get here for that because my tap water has so many dissolved minerals. When I test the water from this store with my TDS meter (measures Total Dissolves Solids in the water) it tests zero, who means this water is as pure as you can get. When COVID-19 started they were overwhelmed with additional customers, and their water filter could not keep up with the amount of water people wanted to purchase (because the water is so extensively filtered, it takes a while to go through the filter and into their filtered water storage tank). Because of this they often had to close early because the amount of filtered water in the tank ran out (not their fault). Recently I've been told that they've upgraded to a bigger filter system, so now it should be less of a problem, though you may want to still call ahead of time if you're going on the afternoon. read more

I just absolutely love this water store. Great price. My man and I take our kids here and they love the frozen yogurt. I live right down the street from this water store, so it's very convenient. The owner is super nice to my family and my friends when I bring them. I couldn't say anything bad about the water store. Amazing!! Best tasting water in El Cajon... Hilda is the best she remembers I can say 99% of the customers that come in. They have great deals on the water when you prepay, and just in case they were to be closed the have self serve machines outside with the same drinking water system they have inside. They also have frozen yogurt... Good flavors and they change often so you can always try something new. The place is kept super clean. Just call before you go if it's after 2-3pm to make sure they are open and have water. Seriously, this is the key. Their hours change and they run out of water sometimes. The outside dispenser i used the other day was still not filling as it should according to salesperson inside when i went in with a bottle i'd just filled to check if this was indeed the amount it should be. its been some months, 4-6 i would say, since i used outside dispensers and situation same. So don't count on the outside dispensers giving you the correct amount of water. Since i have a 60 gallon tank filled with Palomar Mountain water at my home and only come here for water for an aquarium and my pets, i will use other options as salesperson was annoying and then rude. read more
