The furniture is made of real wood. No MDF, plywood or veneer. The prices are not outrageously expensive but not cheap either. The warehouse is in Jackson, CA. You can also check 'em out online. We called before making the drive there to inquire if the carried what we were looking for. I spoke with Kevin O'Neill and he was very helpful. He said he would send me some photos of what they currently had in stock. He immediately texted me with some photos. After receiving the photos, we visited to look at their counter height chairs and dining room sets. This place is pretty unique compared to a commercial or even the mom n pop style furniture store. The location can be missed from highway 88 if you're not paying attention. There is an asphalt road that leads down to a gravel parking lot located in front of the store. This location is split into two different buildings. The main building has a variety of chests, chairs, dressers, etc. It contains just about anything you would want in your main living areas or bedrooms. When first walking into this place it was a bit overwhelming. It is packed with different pieces from wall to wall. The second building contains all the dining room sets, chairs and some limited bed sets. They also make custom furniture and have a small sample area. There are fully furnished bathrooms in both buildings. Finding someone to help can be a little difficult if the place is steady with customers. When we did get help, the employees were very helpful. All the furniture we looked at and sat in seemed to be very good quality. Everything looked and felt well built and sturdy. As for their prices, I felt like most things were priced ok for their quality. It wasn't the cheapest place, but not the most expensive. I think you get what you pay for here. They also make custom dining room table sets to customer spec. We ended up ordering a custom table/chairs and Kevin provided a bunch of great input during our decision making process. As of this review, it takes about four weeks to build the table and chairs with $175 delivery to the Manteca area. Overall, we had a great experience and we will visit again! read more

We made the drive out here hoping to finally see what we have been searching for as a dining room set. The chairs we wanted were sold, but they made more on request! We found a table top that we loved by the height wasn't right, so we were able to choose new legs! They really worked with us to come up with a final result that was within our budget and encompassed all the elements we were wanted. We ended up with a 9-ft live edge table with ten chairs mixed metal and leather and also a teak stool set for our kitchen island. We are very happy with all that we received for the asking price. This was our third craftsman and finally our home is complete. You may have to speak to a few people since the salespeople don't necessarily know what is available at all locations or what the owner is willing to build. Place had a ton of furniture options. They had no heaters, all the doors were left open! Make sure you bring a thick jacket. They were easy to find right off the road. The parking area is small. I have always loved this store/warehouse, I own several pieces of furniture including a dining set, bookshelf, credenza. My most recent purchase was a buffet and unfortunately it came home with post powder wood beetles - the cost and trouble to remove these beetles has been quite a task and unfortunately I'm still not sure if I can even keep the piece of furniture. This is the first time this has happened I would just be sure to really inspect the furniture before you buy it and even maybe the pieces next to the one you want. read more

This is an AMMMAAZING store. We saw the ad on Facebook and decided to run up to Jackson. So many unique, one of a kind pieces. Not only did they sell us an amazing piece that we will use as a kitchen island.... they were willing to alter the piece as well. They shaved a little off each side (as well as re-stain it and wax the wood) to accommodate our marble top. They also added a shelf that we wanted. I don't know of another antique store that can do this kind of thing. We are so pleased with our purchase. The owner, Terry, was so kind and easy to work with. Their warehouse has a Ton of options to look through and the staff is super helpful if you're looking for anything specific, or need something in a certain size. The prices are phenomenal for the high quality, the selection is incomparable, (two huge warehouses), owners and staff are willing to accomodate anything they can, and it is always a fun experience. This place is awesome! It is a HUGE warehouse, filled with great quality furniture. My wife and I were extremely impressed and fell in love with quite a few pieces. I saw another review that questioned the "antique" aspect of the items. To be clear they have some antiques, some newer quality pieces that have an old world charm, and some antique items that have been repurposed with a combination of vintage and newer material. To me this was obvious and the gentleman near the front was happy to discuss what they do and whether an item was antique or newer. The prices were fair, but maybe a bit on the high side. HOWEVER, if you went to Ikea or a generic furniture store and compared the cr@p you'd get for a few hundred bucks versus the items at Water Street Antiques Warehouse, you would not be disappointed with the price. read more

Our home is filled with lovely items from Water Street Antiques. We recently bought a dinning room table and buffet that were from the 1900's and then bought 6 new beautiful leather chairs to go with them. To add to the functionality, we also bought a bench to go with it. What's truly fantastic is the bench was new and made by hand in their workshop, but it matches the table and chairs perfectly. The original stain wasn't quiet right at first, but they refinished it for us to make a perfect match. It is a family owned business and everyone there is wonderful. They are willing to help you before, during and after you purchase your furniture. Their furniture is unique and has stood the test of time.
