Stopped in last weekend because we saw a bed online that we liked. Only 1 employee working and he said he was new. Completely unable to give us any information, said manager would call us the next day. Manager did call the next day and said the bed that we wanted would take up to 6 weeks to arrive. Seriously? We were looking at a freakin twin size bed! So we scratched that (back to Value City). Anyway, while we were there we looked at a dresser that we adored. My husband called the store today, we were ready to go in and pay cash. Employee was from Polaris and knew absolutely nothing about the Hamilton Rd inventory. Hubby ended up driving to the store, and again, not in stock, 6 weeks to deliver and no, cannot buy floor model. We have bought several futons and other items here but no more. I originally purchased a bed from Water Beds N Stuff back in 2008. Long story short, late January 2014 I had a problem with the Spring Air mattress, so I called Water Beds at the East store and spoke with the manger of the store on how to go about this. I immediately received a call from Mark, (The General Manager) on how he would handle the warranty & said give me 24-hours, he called the very next day. Spring Air would not warranty their mattress. When he found out about what was going, he promised me, he would make things right. Well he did, (now keep in mind, I understand WNS can't just give me a free mattress 7 years later but just short of that) not only did he go above and beyond any of my expectations, I am a 100% satisfied customer but more importantly, a customer for life. Big thanks to everyone at Water Beds N Stuff that made this unfortunate situation of mine right!!! This company stands behind their customers & products even years later after the sale, that's how good they are. I bought the Boyd 920 Latex Mattress, I'll keep everyone updated a year later but the 1st night was a amazing nights sleep :-) read more

The past few visits to the store the employees had no idea of what they were selling or just didn't want to work. I asked for a recommendation for a kit for concentrates and the employee offered me batteries... after that he showed me other stuff that was not for concentrates. Finally he got me something that it was for concentrates but to my surprise when I got home it wasn't working... then the next day another clueless employee told me he won't exchange it for a working one without a receipt (I didn't get one last time). The worst experience I have ever had. Today I purchased a metal futon frame and upgraded mattress pad. I was in the other day and Morgan helped me I said I would be back. I came back today paid for they items and did sign a no cash or credit refund - however I didn't think that would apply to defective items and products that should not have been sold together. I hired someone to pick it up - 2 strong men - and put it together. They put the mattress on it I opened it and then could not close it. When I tried closing the futon the entire frame lifted off the floor. The two men together had a problem closing it and the we all figured the mattress was too thick and to heavy for this particular frame and that was the issue. Then as the 2 men struggled to close the futon the bolts went right through the holes - no washers were provided. Let me add that when I made the purchase this afternoon Mike the Manager was the person the made the sale. I called the store left message for Morgan that I was bringing back the 2 pieces. She didn't tell me not to. When I got to the store Morgan was extremely apologetic saying she just spoke with her mgr. ( Mike) and he said you have to lift this mattress off the frame to close the frame. I'm like well shouldn't you have told me that before I purchased this I can't nor do I want to lift this off the frame to close it. She said I will be right back - she disappears for 15 20 minutes I get a text from the guys that have the pieces in the back parking lot they are waiting for her to open the door. Finally I find Morgan on the phone with Mike and they refuse to accept the merchandise back because he can give me bolts and he knows the frame should close with the mattress because he can do it. I said fine show me come to my house and do it. I just had two strong men try to do and they couldn't so you expect me 68 yrs old to do it? I was leaving the store under the impression after all this time that passed Morgan let the men put the merchandise in their storage - NO. She would have let me leave knowing the merchandise was sitting in the back parking lot so someone could steal it. I said I want to speak to your mgr. on the phone. She called him and he again mentioned no returns no money back he has to get authorization from corporate. In this day and age I can not believe a mgr hasn't got the power to look at a situation and just say I am sorry we didn't tell you or realized this mattress doesn't work - there is no customer service left. This man Mike is not someone I would want representing my company. I can't stand people that don't own up to mistakes or leaving out important information. So I was going to dispute this with my credit card company but how do I do that when I still have possession of the merchandise because that mgr. refused to let me leave the merchandise there until Monday when he spoke to corporate. NEVER NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I EVER DO BUSINESS THAT DOESN'T REFUND MONEY ESPECIALLY WHEN THE ISSUE THAT HAS ARISED IS BECAUSE OF THEIR INCOMPETENCE.
