Something that IS the park's problem-- too many visitors zooming around the park on e-bikes and electric motorcycles. Kids as young as 5 or 6, zooming around with no helmets, riding through empty spaces, going the wrong way, in and out off the sidewalk. Even after dark, no lights. If you stay here BE VERY CAREFUL because you could get hit while walking or your vehicle could get hit when a bike comes at you out of nowhere. read more

I stayed here about three weeks ago. It's an older campground. The location is a highlight--just a short walk to a nice, clean beach without issues of homelessness in the area. However, I wouldn't call this a family-friendly spot; it felt more like a simple parking lot for RVs. There were no activities, music, or community feel. People seemed to keep to themselves, and it was more a place to stay for proximity to the beach than a social or recreational environment. On the downside, customer service was challenging. I called around 20 times throughout the week to reach the front desk/reservations team, but they only answered three of those times. Additionally, there's no staff on Sundays, and the office closes by 5 PM daily, meaning late check-ins are handled by Security, who will come by your site to check paperwork. Lastly, the price felt high for an off-season visit. We paid just over $200 for two nights in November, which seemed a bit steep given the lack of amenities or activities. This might be a better choice in the summer, but I expected a bit more overall for the price. read more

I have stayed here for many extended reservations. Typically a quiet friendly place and clean. Reading some of the negative reviews baffled me and most seemed tied to personally controllable circumstances. Cynthia and Tyler are very friendly and accommodating. It's my first time ever bringing the RV here. Years ago we had driven through and had lost interest because it was apparent by the enormous amount of junk on the sites that people were living here. New management must have cleaned up the place because the park is very clean and nothing like what it once was. All the facilities including the pool and laundry were very clean and well kept. I saw security driving around often at night. It was nice. I truly enjoyed it and look forward to bringing some friends booking a future stay. read more

20ft RV, no hookups needed. Parked at 5pm in guest vehicle spot by accident instead of my RV spot next to it. Had no guests and there were no neighboring RV's. At 10:30pm was woken by rude little spectacled security person stating I must switch immediately. Literally something he said could not wait till morning and he's laughing about waking us up. Wonder how many this guy has run off in his days. He's a complete liability for this park. read more

If I could give a negative 5 stars I would. I was there this past weekend 4/12. Was gone for the day and didn't return until 9pm. When I returned someone had a kids bike ramp in the main entrance way. My dad accidentally hit it without knowing (he has a dually). The people from that campsite then came very aggressively to ours and started to yell and cuss. Before we could even say sorry or offer to pay for it. They started a violent fight. Men hitting women and taking them to the ground one even holding a woman in a choke hold. HB police were no help and didn't do anything. Others staying in the park also just stood around doing nothing but watch. Icing on the cake is management had issues with them since Thursday and chose to do nothing about it. The security guard also didn't show up until after all the cops left, total about an hour and he was nowhere to be found. All of this could have been prevented if he was doing his job telling people not to leave things in the middle of where cars pull in and out. We ending up leaving right after due to the unsafe environment. The group that started the fight and had been creating issues for 3 days were never asked to leave. Instead they sat around they're trailer like they did nothing. Honestly this whole experience would make me avoid HB at all cost. read more

We recently booked two nights at Waterfront RV park to see friends in Huntington Beach and treat ourselves to Sunday brunch on the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Highly recommended brunch! We wanted to stay at the downtown beach RV but it was full . Waterfront RV was close , we had a vehicle with us and they had space for our 32 ft Motorhome so we checked in on Sat . We are seasoned RV ers and have camped at many RV parks over the years . It is clearly an older park but very well maintained , clean and has amenities for all types of campers. There are plenty of spaces for all shapes and sizes of RV, s . We were particularly impressed with the staff. The check in Staff member , I forget his name , he was a young guy and handled our check in with a kind and professional manner . Once we were parked in our spot , I became aware that the power was 50 Amp . Our rig is 30 Amp! I did not have an adapter from 50 - 30 Amp. Waterfront has a security guy that rides around in golf cart. I waved him over and explained my problem. It was after hours and the office was closed for the night . He said no prob, jump In and took me to the office , got me an adapter , took me back and made sure we had the power connection! Lastly , a big shout out for the park manager , Cynthia While backing in our RV , I bumped into the wall with the hitch ! Cynthia handled this issue in a truly professional manner ! Overall , we give 5 Stars to our stay at Waterfront RV Park for the clean amenities , Fantastic staff , friendly people and close location to beaches and down town Huntington Beach. read more

This campground is quiet and everyone is friendly and respectful. The staff (tyler and cynthia) are both very nice and helpful. The Laundry facilities, bathrooms and pool are all clean and well kept! If you stay at this park, PLEASE don't cross PCH on foot. I keep seeing reviews of people saying it's a "quick walk to the beach". We vacationed here and walked across this highway many times. It just took one time. My beautiful aunt who was a teacher and very young was hit and killed crossing PCH at Newland, from this RV park. This strip of highway is known for racing. We saw crosses at this exact intersection over the years, said a quick prayer for the families affected by the tragedy and thought in the back of our minds, "that would never happen to our family". On July 25th, 2021 it did happen to our family, and our family has never been the same since. Please don't think it could never happen to you. While this isn't the RV park's fault, it does need to be posted that it is at your risk to cross this intersection. Stay safe everyone! Happy Fourth! read more

This was our first time camping here and I have to say I'd definitely recommend it for those who have families! There's a pool and hot tub for the kids and a game room as well. It's not waterfront, however, the beach is not even a 2 minute walk from the park. Everyone here was so friendly and helpful. The park had full hookups. One thing I wish it did have though was bigger spaces, however, there's enough room for one large truck and your trailer. There's an ice machine and water machine as well, a little pricey, but convenient. There's a grocery store about minutes away as well. We had an amazing time here! This park seems to only care about themselves and not its customers. They close offices on weekend days. There are no special activities. They require 100% cash payment when making reservations. They answer the phone 1% of the time. The staff isn't cordial or friendly, especially the manager. We will never return. read more

We have been coming here for years, and there are some areas that need to be approved upon. 1. Trucks are parked past the red line of their rv sites in the exit row street, cars of visitors are double parked in exit row for long periods of time which make it impossible to pass through with an rv. Didn't see any enforcement of staying behind the red line. 2. Outside shower is broken by the pool. Everyone is coming from the beach and there is no where to shower and get the sand off or clean boogie boards so pool and jacuzzi is full of sand. 3. Guy next to us had his music on and talking very loudly outside our rv. I don't think anyone goes around and enforces quiet time. Waterfront RV you have an opportunity to be really great. Not sure if this place is run on skeleton crew but fix showers, enforce parking, and a nightly presence would be helpful. read more

This park claims to be waterfront, it isn't, you have to walk across Pacific Coast Highway to get to the beach. The RV spaces are small with very little space in between. The grass they put out for dogs was so disgusting that the dogs refused to use it. Finally, we were invaded by thousands of ants and had to leave. We are experienced motorhomers who have travelled to many parks and locations throughout the years. We live locally and wanted to stay at this park due to some remodel work being done in our residence. Our 11 day stay was not a pleasant experience. We wrote the owners of the park an email describing our haphazard and frustrating stay that they were clearly responsible for, but did not care enough about their guest's experience at their park, nor were professional enough to respond. Taking our money was a priority, though. This is the actual email: Dear Sir(s): My name is XXXX XXXX and have been a guest at your rv facility since September 12, 2022 and am reserved until September 23rd. Since my arrival 3 days ago, two of those days we have been without water until 5:00pm. What I do not understand is the need to shut down the rv park's water when the water leak issue was within the separate system of the mobile home park. It is your plumbing contractor, your business, but my inconvenience. This morning we were notified the electricity would be shut down from 10:00pm to 5:00am due to maintenance from SCE. My 45' motorhome is an all electric coach, which also includes an all electric refrigerator/freezer and toilet. I have a generator, but with everyone using their generator, it will be difficult to sleep tonight with the loud noise from all of the generators in use. I called SCE to inquire why they are shutting the electricity down on such short notice, and they informed me customers (that would be you) were notified two weeks ago of this planned shut down. Why wasn't I informed of this shut down by your company since it was known I had paid reservations during this time period? I could have chosen to spend my eleven days elsewhere. Clearly I am very upset. Your company has not even offered a discount/compensation for the unnecessary inconvenience caused. Please advise. Being across from PCH it is easy access to the beach, literally just cross the highway and there's the sand. Today the power shut off about 10 times this morning and the extreme helpful maintenance person patiently reset the breaker and I was explained that the breaker was getting too hot and it was tripping off. Only part of the campground was affected by this issue. Whatever the campground is not a real campground, it is an asphalted parking lot crowded with RVs with no space between them and no grass or trees. It's been 2 weeks since we tried to stay there. We booked two nights but WE made a mistake not realizing you CANNOT have truck bed tents there. Once we had the truck setup the security guard was nice and explained we can't be there. Obviously HUGE let down for our family but he called the manager on site and we talked to her on the phone with the security guard. She said we had to leave and couldn't stay and we would be refunded the $220 in a few days. We have called multiple times but NO ONE ANSWERS or returns our messages. We are very frustrated after she reassured me she would refund for the honest mistake. We will edit the post once they return our money like agree upon. Checked in for the airshow and all was good. Next day security reminded me to display my parking pass high is no big deal. Could not find it so went to the office to get another one. Manager at the desk said they only offer one parking pass at checkin. Told her "no problem" and started to walk out. She said we needed a parking pass and I asked for one since we don't know what happens to it. She said they only issue one and if not displayed they will tow the vehicle. With the rude attitude she was giving I asked her what she wanted to do at this point since it getting ridiculous. She just gave me another one and I walked out. It was not that difficult of a situation but they made it one. Also after hear some other guest complain about the attitude from management they also work be back. read more

If you are looking for an RV park close to Huntington Beach State Park, this is the place. Clean spots, nice facilities and close to Bauer Park for the kids. Loved this trip! The park is directly across from the beach AND you have very clean showers and bathrooms, a clean well maintained pool and hot tub and a little game room. I have been rv-ing all over Cali and I've yet to find a full hookup with amenities this close to the beach. Usually if it's beach front it's partial or no hook up w no amenities or you can poach a park with full hook up and amenities but you have to pretty much drive to the beach. We brought our bikes and rode to Main Street frequently and all around town. It's about a 1 mile bike ride to the nearest grocery and a 10 min bike ride to the pier. I was concerned about how far it was from the action but it made the beach visits a lot more private and then it got the whole family being active if they wanted to shop or eat out. We booked another week before we left because we loved it so much! read more

We saw the reviews which seem to include a lot of complaints against the management but we were very impressed with the new manager in the office. She was extremely helpful and very friendly. We knew coming in that it was all asphalt, which worked out just fine for us. They have a laundry room, swimming pool and a hot tub. They seem to be working to do a lot of upgrades.
