Sheeeeeesh! So many negative reviews I had to come break it up with our groups positive experience. We camped here the last weekend of July for the Warped Tour music festival down the street. This was our first time camping in a park like this, we've only done some dry camping in the desert prior. I didn't know what to expect but was incredibly happy with everything. Booking online was easy peasy. Checking in was just as easy. Checkout was even easier as we didn't have to do anything besides pack up and go. Now our stay, we were a little worried on the size of the site as we had friends joining us with a second vehicle. Upon arrival we were ecstatic to see that our trailer, tow vehicle, and friends car all fit into our space and still gave us plenty of room to hangout. They had amenities like a bathroom/shower/pool, little market etc. We didn't have time for a dip in the pool but it looked well kept and nice. Our friends used the bathrooms and said they were standard campground showers. I didn't feel they were super necessary as the site has full hookups so I took a nice hot shower in our travel trailer. But hey, they're there if you need! The WiFi wasn't great, but it worked okay. If having high speed internet is important to you when traveling, get a hot spot on your phone or one of those spaceX satellite things. Anyway, we had a great experience, no issues at all. We already booked a site for next year as did a few of our friends! read more

Would not stay here again. The staff is unprofessional and poorly trained. I had already stayed for two weeks and made a follow-up reservation in person with one of their employees. I was advised to put the reservation under my husbands name. At no point did the welcome email mention any restriction on extended stays. Yet, on the very day of check-in, they canceled my reservation without warning, offered no resolution, and refused to honor a booking made by their own staff. To make matters worse, the campground was not full--there was plenty of space available. The decision to cancel felt arbitrary, unfair, and frankly immoral. I believe it was Rhonda, the employee who handled my situation, was rude and unprofessional. Every time I spoke with this older male employee, he always looked completely miserable at his job. This place desperately needs SERIOUS customer service training. UPDATE in response to business: You twisted my words by framing them as being of a "discriminatory nature." Simply describing someone's race is not discrimination. As for the reservations under different names, that was because more than one person was staying at that campsite. Once again, you're creating a false narrative/context. Very professional. Also Nowhere in your email did it state the maximum length of stay. Something you can improve on read more

I had a typo on my previous review, the RV park is kinda 'ON' the water/ocean. In other words, very close but you cannot see if from your site. It is easily accessible by foot, bike or car. read more

I guess Ill start with, there is lots to like about this RV Resort. The sites are exceptionally clean, I had no issues with the staff (others have mention negative reviews but everything was fine for us), the pool/spa, dog run, bathrooms were all fine if unexceptional. The park is walking distance to shoreline drive and entertainment. All great so far. The not so great is largely out of their control. Homeless just outside the fence (cops literally drove by and did nothing, loud motorcycles all day down the bike path, and the need to cover up the waterfront views because of it. This is what caused my rating, not the park itself. I would suggest sites through the middle, not along the waterfront or shoreline drive. The middle site have a nice grass area between them and will be a bit quieter. If the city would clean things up and keep the motorcycles off the bike trails, this could be a 5 star place (note that we also heard gun shots both nights while there.). Its too bad. read more

We are in an RV Club. Our wagon master booked six sights. The site numbers and the amount owed were given to him in advanced. Upon our arrival,the office mixed up the number of sites we booked for Wednesday and Thursday. Of course Ms. Olivia took no responsibility which I felt warranted an apology. We were given additional sites but this comes with hooking up Wednesday, unhooking on Thursday and hooking up and unhooking again. If you understand camping then you know this is an inconvenience!!!! Be sure you double check the office. Glad to say we won't be back here. The smell is awful! read more

I'll start with the good; quiet and well maintained rv park. It's well located if you want to explore Long Beach. That being said, the park is incredibly small, the area was a little sketchy and front desk was mostly rude and dismissive. If you have dogs it's not the most dog friendly place. There is a dog run on the far end but the amazing open grass area has "keep dogs off" signs all over. If you're on a stop over to see Long Beach, with no dogs this place is for you, it just wasn't what I was looking for. read more

The staff here are obviously not RVers. They are extremely rude. The manner in which they treat you and the manner in which they speak to guests makes it seem as if they learned hospitality from their angry mistreated abuela! The property itself is fantastic. The service has gone downhill over the years. We've stayed here many many times and I just have to say... The manner in which we were treated this last time makes it very clear they are not interested in keeping customers. What was extremely obvious twice was the manner in which we saw the supervisor change when the manager was around. The supervisor whole demeanor changed and was so much more happier and pleasant... But when the manager was not around, we were dirt under her feet. Even other staff members noticed the difference, but won't say anything. If you're the owner of this place, you need to check things out. When there is smoke... there is usually a fire! Advice to manager: Yelp is your smoke. read more

Very clean & well kept RV spot. Nicely located for venturing out into the city & surrounding area. Staff works hard & are diligent in keeping the place organized & tidy. Downside, the spot is surrounded by a chain link barbed wire fence and has on-site security at night. Having security is a plus, BUT the fencing speaks to the potential issues if such precautions were not taken. The barbed fencing does detract from the outdoor experience. Otherwise, good spot to spend a night if you're swinging through the area. read more

Friendly staff, small clean gated RV park, quiet. Restrooms and showers were clean. Close to shops and restaurants. Convenient bike and walking trail. There were some homeless along the trail but weren't too worrisome, we just walked past them. We took the trail several times a day. Can't beat the cooler temps here during the summer. I've got very mixed feelings and reviews about this RV park. We came to stay for two nights and had a wonderful experience. Great location, loved our spot and everyone was very nice. We loved it so much that we decided to shorten our stay at Dockweiler RV park and come back for a few more days. When we called to make the reservation, we asked if spot 50 was available again and were told we can't pick our spot until we check in. Okay, no problem. When we got there, spot 50 was available - score! While we were there, my husband got called for work meeting he needed to fly out for and we both thought this would be a great spot for me to stay while he was gone. When we went to extend our stay, we were told we would have to move because that spot was reserved already and the new reservations had priority over us. We were confused by that since we were told before that you couldn't reserve a spot. We were also told our new spot was the only one available for the weekend. The place never filled up. Half the spots were empty. Left a bad taste in our mouth since we had to pick up all of our stuff and move even though we were planning on being there for a week. They definitely treated us as a non-priority and it stung. If my husband hadn't needed to fly out of LAX, we would've left. It's a shame because we really love the location, but their policies are inconsistent. Then the day we checked out, my husband had a work call at 12 and asked if we could sit in our spot for another hour. We were told we would have to pay another day's fee. The park was practically empty. No offer to let us pay for the hour or just be nice and let us sit there for a bit. Everything was packed up and ready, just needed to get on a meeting for half an hour. We've had empty parks allow us to hang around longer when it's clear we aren't in the busy season. I went in to the store/office to look for a specific item before we rolled out and there was no - thank you for staying with us or anything. Anyway, great location, beautiful and well-kept, but very disappointed in how we were treated in the end. They need to get their staff on the same page and have better customer service from certain team members. read more

We have been on the road 3 months now and literally around the USA. Golden Shore RV Resort is the nicest campground we have been on this adventure. Generous sized sites, well maintained, lovely grounds. Located next to the bike path is you are bikers. While there are homeless people nearby, this was not a concern. We will be back! read more

We stayed for the holiday, and this place is super clean and well-maintained.The staff is super friendly and hardworking. This particular weekend was a challenge for them enforcing rules and regulations .Especially on 4th of July, some guests brought outside guests and parked them in paid sites, However, the security and staff have everything under control, making us feel safe. In my personal opinion, the bad reviews this hardworking folks received are because there are some customers who make unreasonable requests. I witnessed one of the, and saw how Kevin went above and beyond to provide the best service, but wasn't enough . We love this place and we highly recommend. The RV park is pristine clean and the grounds very well maintained. Each spot is hand raked after each guest leaves so they look fresh when you arrive. Spots are roomy and there's lots of trees for shade. Most spots have astroturf rugs and picnic benches as well. Our spot backed to the bay. Very quiet park! Easy on/off access to the freeway for long rigs. Very close to everything!! There was lots to do in Long Beach and the amazing bike path between LB and Belmont Shores is a beautiful Ride. The pool and spa was very clean. We didn't use the restrooms or laundry, but would imagine they are as clean as everywhere else. We brought our electric bikes and rode all over LB, and there are many great bike paths and the city streets have a lot of bike lanes. The bike path that parallels the LA river starts behind the RV park. Warning though... not too far down that LA River bike route is overrun with homeless camps. Although thousands of riders share the lanes with them, and it's very busy with bike riders, I didn't feel safe riding through them, so we turned around and went the other direction which takes you to Shoreline village. This RV park location is very bike friendly. There were plenty of warnings about severity of bike theft problems in Long Beach. Take them seriously, regardless of the condition of your bike. Invest in quality bike locks and chains, and do not leave them unsecured even for a moment. Buy a bike alarm from Amazon and install it, they are so cheap! We covered our bikes with a black blanket overnight and chained them to our RV. Felt safe and had a blast! read more

They could be a little more flexible when things that we can't control happen. We had a problem with our distribution weight hitch, we couldn't get the pins we needed to secure it and be able to pull our trailer, we ordered them through amazon cause we couldn't get them anywhere else but the delivery got delayed, we notified the office the morning before the time to check out and allow us to park in another EMPTY AND NOT BOOKED SITE, cause apparently the one where we stayed 2 nights was already booked. However at the check out time they requested payment for another day even though we were not staying, we ended up leaving around 4pm. So they charged us another whole day for 4 hours. I had enjoyed my experience till then, but I for sure won't be going back and taking my business elsewhere. read more

This was not the case at all. There was a site that was indeed open. This was confirmed by the agent. I was told that I could not get a specific site and could only be assigned one at the time of check-in. That site (that was open) did accommodate our 30 foot Class A but we were still told no. Basically it's a crap shoot what we'll get when we arrive. read more

We started making this an annual tradition. Location is amazing. Walking distance to the Queen Mary and many eateries. Also with Clean sites, restrooms and amenities. Service is top notch, especially Kevin. Anytime we ever needed anything or had any questions, Kevin would be on top of it. One of the friendliest and attentive staff member we have ever encountered. No accommodations nor consideration for handicapped "we cannot assign spots until you arrive" We where placed in site 7 a long walk to the one bathroom and showers for my handicapped wife with many sites closer vacant our entire stay. Tiny mosquitos, Itching then painful everyday! Handicap Handle just dangling broken holder Towel hook broken off 16 quarters required for washer/dryer so outdated. Trash located at either end right in a blind spot. Bicycles going in and out have a curb requiring you to get off to open gate with the exit opening towards you while you try to hold gate open and maneuver bike through. Vehicles entering must exit vehicle to push in code in another blind spot. Put box on driver's side away from cars coming in around the blind corner. read more

The campsites are a good size, and the biking trails are plenty. If you are looking at going to Catalina, the Catalina in Express is literally a five minute walk. This is a wonderful gym in the middle of the city. We really enjoyed our stay. read more

We were staying 10 days and our son was coming in on the last three days of our stay and we went to the office and asked to park him in an extra parking space , we were in space 30 and the visitor parking was right in front of us by trash Receptacle and they told us "we couldn't do that. That was only for two hour parking." But throughout our 10 days there we saw the same cars parked there overnight and for multiple days. Nice park but office personal not very Commentating or flexible. We had to park the vehicles. We are one car with park next to our RV and every time we wanted to do something we had to pull out one put in the other etc. etc. The park is nice and clean pool ledge Cousy. Also in the only reason I give it three stars is for the N flexibility. We didn't seem to be asking for a lot, when other people were granted the privilege. read more

Currently staying at this resort & i am taken away at how peaceful & clean this little gem is. We love it! Perfect Memorial Day weekend getaway. Quick easy accommodations different from other parks, great location, friendly staff & maintenance. I do want to point out an incident that was handled very well being in customer relations myself. As we were checking in a couple was giving the staff a hard time for not getting a specific spot being demanded. Golden Shore states they "don't guarantee any specific sites". The entire park is lovely & the staff deserve respect as well. read more

I'm visiting LA and had the pleasure of stopping here and dealing with the wonderful staff. Unfortunately an irate customer, I believe his name was Javier, was verbally assaulting the young man working the counter. Kudos to the young man working, he handled the situation professionally and did his best to appease an unruly and rude customer that seemed to be taking out his frustrations on the poor employee without any interest in actually solving his issue. The customer service I received was friendly, timely, and the perfect welcome to the LA area for my vacation. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff (and how they handled a stressful situation). When I return I'll definitely be asking for Marlon, he went above and beyond and made my experience as easy as could be. read more

Our recent visit was Christmas week 2023. We traveled from Las Vegas to spend the holiday with family and friends. The park with full hookup amenities, also included a small store, laundry, pool and a green belt in the center which we backed up to. The park is well-maintained. Our toy hauler's rear door opens to make an outdoor seating area for a great view. Park is gated and secure. You are given access gate codes upon arrival. The parking pads are packed sand and level. It had rained days before arrival, so some areas were mushy. Our son brought a half-sheet of plywood and screwed a large scrub brush to a corner for us to scrub off our shoes before walking on the area rug. Genius! We especially liked walking our pup outside the facility. Walking paths allowed views of the bay, the Queen Mary, the Spruce Goose hangar, and the huge catamarans for Catalina Island. Staff was welcoming. We were given a map to our backup site #62. Other occupants were super friendly. A bit pricey at $90 per night, but worth it. We hope to visit here again. read more

Close to most of the "Long Beach To Do" list. The Aquarium of the Pacific, The Pike, Pierpoint Marina, and tons of shopping and restaurants like and Yard House are within walking distance. So location is pretty good for an RV park. On the other hand the placement of this RV park is not the greatest. It's adjacent to the last exit on the 710 Freeway; bordered on the north by several 12-story office buildings; and bordered on the south by a mosquito estuary (j/k). Price is fair for what you get. Clean (mostly level) sites, pool, spa, bathrooms, showers, laundry, full hookups including cable, a little general store. Several maintenance & security on the grounds throughout the day and night. The place is entirely chain link fenced in plus barbed wire so we felt pretty safe! We only stayed one night but we'd come back again for a couple of days. read more

Located right next to the shopping district of Long Beach and very close to attractions like the Aquarium of the Pacific and the Queen Mary, this little gem offers a nice respite for the weary traveler. The management does a great job of keeping the place clean and tidy. They have a laundry room, nice showers, a fantastic pool and a jacuzzi. The sites are big enough to stretch out with lots of common areas to hang out in. The staff is friendly and professional. And they are pet friendly with a nice dog area to let your foot legged friends stretch out as well. We only stayed a couple of nights, but, if I'm back in the area again this place is definitely on my list of places to stay! read more

This RV park staff is dreadful. They are rude and have lied to us . When we confronted them their solution," we can refund you". And I would have love to take them up on that , however it's a holiday weekend and we have no other options. Neither one the two employees could keep there story straight. And truly they are so belligerent and off putting. Go to Orange Land! They are fantastic! Friendly and accommodating. They authentically care about our experience They would do anything they can for you! This place could care less In reply to this manager's comment It's shows the lack of hospitality and class. I was not hostile, others in the park feel the same as we do. I am a patron who was making a point to yours and your staffs lies. You couldn't even give us a single coherent explanation. We understand the policy. We RV every single weekend up and down the coast . You are our first negative experience. This isn't the first time y'all have been defensive and aggressive. Not once was I anything but confused by your inconsistencies. Last week after your staff was rude you did give my husband the soot he had inquired about. But why not , it was empty after all??? Again you are simply ill mannered and simply not forthcoming with facts and truth. I am the patron. And you come with slander....... Distasteful behavior And you suggested us leaving as I'm happy with that. Camp-land Orange is trying to get us in. Where hospitality is there honor. Please leave me alone and do not harassed me any longer. If I could leave "I absolutely would!" Shame on you trying to turn this around with your aggressive attitude. read more

I have been staying at this beautiful RV Resort on and off for about five years. It is always clean. Not to mention our beautiful views, this little RV resort provided us with beautiful views right next to the shore and a walk and skip to see the historical monument of the Queen Mary. I come here with my dog, and he enjoys our walks by the water. So peaceful and so clean. Not to mention the great customer service I receive. read more

I have been coming to Golden Shores RV resort for about five years. The RV park is kept immaculate, the people are super friendly, they have a pool, jacuzzi, and the location is amazing. We take the bus to 2nd St. in Long Beach, walk around the stores plus people watch, and usually catch lunch or dinner out. We also bring our bikes and there is a trail by the beach that goes about 5 miles each way. Everyone that I met here is super friendly and I love the ocean breeze. read more

I was a little nervous after reading previous reviews.. but I'm happy to report, our bikes didn't get stolen! we did lock them up behind the trailer, except for the night that it rained.. we put them under the cover and covered them with our towels. They weren't locked up and they weren't touched. Our corn hole and our fire pit were left out the entire time, along with our chairs and had no issues of theft. We stayed Memorial Day weekend, so we expected it to be loud and crazy- but it wasn't! It was nice and relaxing! Overall, we liked it! Price wasn't terrible. We will definitely be going back. More pros than cons. Pros: -easy access to and from the freeway -near shoreline village & the pike.. we rode our bikes there a few times over the weekend - super clean bathrooms & showers -nice pool and jacuzzi - every site has a picnic table - they have a laundry facility on site - they have a picnic area with a large fire pit, bbqs, and tables - dog run - gated resort Cons: - sites don't have a fire pit, but you can bring your own - we were backed up to the street, so we could hear cars driving by.. but it didn't keep us up at night. read more
