First time coming here and just want to say exceptional service by the young man! Ended up getting 3 jugs of alkaline water and was so happy I found this gem in Highland Park so close to home. As soon as you walked in you're greeted and everything is very organized and cleaned which I appreciate! Can't rave about this place enough! I love this water store SO much. 1. The employees are WONDERFUL; they are over-and above kind and knowledgeable and very sweet. 2. I go for the oxygen water and everyone in my family LOVES it. Discovered this store by chance today when I was at the 99 cent store and needed ice! I have been wanting to stop with the purchase of plastic gallon bottles and water bottled water for many years, but never got around to researching a solution (which can be a small investment to with regards to the stand and equipment). So when I walked into the store today, for just a thing of ice, imagine my pleasant surprise! I have never seen such store before, and had no idea these type of store is existed! The price of seemed reasonable ranging from $.65 to two dollars for alkaline water. The lady at the front was super kind and answered all of my questions. I am going to figure out how many gallons a week we will need, which will determine the size of the jugs and stand soon! To the owners of this business: you should update your business category from "grocery" to water and ice or some thing else because when searching yelp for that type of store, your business did not come up. read more

I have been getting my water from this place for nearly 7 years and we don't go anywhere else! Rossy is our favorite. She is kind and helpful and always has a smile on her face. Diego is friendly as well and knowledgeable about his water. He got us to try oxygenated water and we are HOOKED! New owner Michael has made good changes and updates to the interior space. Located in the 99 cents strip mall next to big 5, waba (has own private parking lot, easy to find spots), lots of folks come here for filtered water but I get my ice here. Appreciate that they have long hours (9a-8p 7 days per week), 10 lbs of ice is only $1.75. There is a $5 minimum to use a credit card but it's clean, folks are friendly, prices great read more

It's very disappointing to have tested the "alkaline" water that I just purchased with pH strips and it having tested at 6.5! Not only is that not alkaline but actually acidic since neutral is 7.0. I've been purchasing from this location for almost a year and it's quite disheartening. Please check your system regularly. read more

What?!? I'm the first to review Wateria?!? Wow. I'm shocked that this place isn't on Yelp's Best List. Although, to be fair to Yelp, it's pretty hard to mess up water. I come here to fill up the 4-gallon bottles of water from work. Gotta keep those girls hydrated! It costs $7 to fill up 5 of them. Kinda makes you want to stop buying those little bottles for $1.89 huh? Okay, one GREAT thing about this place? The older Asian man that whistles while he washes and then rinses your bottles (with purified water!) AND while he fills them with that delicious purified water AND while he puts the UV sterilized orange caps on AND when he dries the outside of your bottles. You can't help but smile. Especially because chances are, you have NO idea what he's whistling. Now for the bad. The first bad can be a good. They have this great little freezer with paletas. Like REAL paletas like the ones you would buy from the paletero! Why is this bad? Because more times than not, I take at least one girl with me (they gotta EARN their hydration! I kid, I kid...) and well it wouldn't be very nice of me to buy one for myself and not for my little helper(s). And sometimes, I just don't have enough cash for us all. The other bad: no freaking air conditioning. Now this is only a problem during the summer and the sad little fan they have in there ain't cutting it! They also offer smaller bottles of water, empty gallons and water dispensers for sale and of course purified bags of ice. For the hardcore water drinkers. And a plethora of long-distance phone cards. Cash only, no bills over $20 (I like reading signs). I promise I didn't know I had this much to say about a little water place. read more

This specific location has issues. It has had the same issue for months and MONTHS. NOTE: The entire group of employees rate a 5+ out of 5!! I used this location - exclusively - for well over 3 years - filling 4, three-gallon water bottles per visit. Many months ago - my water refills began having the smell, and taste of chlorine - unmistakably, funky chlorine water. Talked to the staff, and they told the owner. I talked to the owner, too. Finally - after months - I called Wateria Corp offices to explain that there was still an obvious chlorine smell and taste in the water at THIS HP LOCATION... and I switched to the location on N Lake in Pasadena. (perfect water in this location.) The corp office thanked me - and did... NOTHING. It's been months. I went back to the Fig/York location to buy additional 3 gal bottles, as hauling to/from Pasadena was less convenient. The owner at HP was there - he sold me the BPA-free bottles - and looked at me funny when I said I didn't want them filled. I told him why - and he offered me a sample. I sampled it - and still - it's clorine-tasting. I went to Lake Ave - filled bottles - no taste / odor - just perfect water. I WISH Wateria Corp would give a hoot and fix this. 1. You can not 'smell/taste it' in the store - as it smells like chlorine in there. You CAN - if you take the sample outside. 2. Corp offices - blah, blah, blah... NOTHING has changed in THIS store. 3. I didn't know a place like this existed. I've only seen vending machines where you stick your big jug in and for a quarter, you get water. Here, you give it to the very nice lady behind the counter and she cleans it for you and refills it with purified water! And if you look into the other room, there's like a mini water factory in there! Then when she's done filling up the water, she tops it off with a new UV sterilized cap. How 'bout that. read more

I'm a guy who isn't too picky about the water he drinks. I've always had the assumption that women in general may have a more sensitive taste palate for water than most guys, therefore I have had many drink a glass from my water dispenser and tell me what they think. The verdict? Crisp and clean. Not one bad thing to say about it. Even the ones who say they're picky about their water gave a good grade. Service is great. I admit, you may sometimes catch the person working there on the phone having a conversation with someone, but even then they still tend to you and all your needs with no hiccups. You walk in with your bottles, they take them and give them a quick clean and rinse, then it's placed on the platform under the water nozzle to begin dispensing. A sanitized bottle cap gets placed on bottle, finished. $2 for five gallons. They also sell alkaline water for a higher price (I forget how much exactly) but I have never tried it. Visited Wateria for the first time today, I was very impressed. I brought in four 5 gallon bottles, the clerk thoroughly rinsed the insides of the bottles and then scrubbed the exteriors with soap and water. Each bottle was refilled and sealed. The water tasted great, almost like spring water, you get good clean drinking water in a clean container for $2 per 5 gallons. The staff were very friendly and appreciated my business, I'm sold on Wateria, especially since they are a local business which I prefer to support. read more

This place really needs to put a cash only sign outside. I filled up two 5 gallons and four 1 gallon tubs. Then when I got to the counter she said I couldn't use my card. I didn't have cash so I asked her if she knew of any atms nearby. She replied no, and told me to go look. And then proceeded to stare at me and say $6. So I had to walk across the street and pull out money from a different bank which charged me an extra fee. I wouldn't be as upset if she had apologized or said thank you, but nope. It's a very clean business, they take your bottles wash, rinse, fill and cap. In and out service. I was short a few cents and the gentleman said not to worry and to bring it in next time.
