Horrible place they don't care at all! They dont check on patients my family member almost died here and blacked out. No medication was given they lied and said they were administering medication. This place is very unsanitary. They don't check on patients my grandpa was here and they did not change him all day long he was soaking wet. I asked them for a shower bed they brought one to me and it had poop on it. I then had to sanitize the bed and the whole room. The Cnas are also very lazy. read more

To be honest there's a lot I can say about this place and to me everything was extremely positive from nurses. And from all the nurses assistants who did an incredible job I could name so many. I'm really not the type to write reviews, ever, but I saw a cpl 1-star reviews below and, well....you're welcome. I initially wasn't looking forward to staying here, tbh. I had done a very quick lookup on Google and Yelp and decided I'd read all I needed to know to pre-judge this place pretty effectively. My left foot was amputated and I had a wound vac on my foot. After 1-2 weeks of feeling sorry for myself and my disabled situation, my perspective shifted. I was watching the staff do their job and care for patients, I thought to myself, who??...why??....would anyone want to work a job like that?? They work long hours, selflessly caring for others, while sometimes being treated horribly by certain patients. They say perspective is everything, this is how the staff here changed mine. I am blessed to live in a country (hopefully ran by Trump in 2025), that provides health care to receive the surgery I needed. RIP left foot. To then being placed at this facility with nurses and staff who genuinely care. (even if you're a rude & ungrateful turd towards them.) Regardless of where you receive treatment, some things will be annoying dealing with human nature, and possibly high expectations. Compassion and gratitude become an awesome substitute for frustration. Lacking that may cause you to write a 1-star review everywhere you go. But not this guy.....with one foot... They said my mom had an infection and supposedly they were giving her antibiotics. But when we went to visit her, there were no signs they did. And the next day when me, my dad and her sister went to visit her she was unresponsive and looked pale. We told the CNA to Check her and they did and her blood pressure was low (78/49) and they "needed a reason to take her to the hospital or they would sent her back" but when she did go to the hospital the nurses and doctors said if they knew she had an infection they would have token her to the hospital so they could have treated it earlier. Which sadden me because she goes in and out of the hospital ever since she gotten the surgery. They also said they treated her wound twice a day but she said otherwise before she got the infection they got her saying stuff that isn't true and talking to my grandma how passed 12 years ago. read more

To staff past and present (if you are thinking about working here, don't. You will witness horrible treatment of fragile patients. You may even be asked to cover up your co workers abusing patients. A patient said Michael assured them we are fully staffed. Big lie. Lots of shifts we have no CNAs or nurses or just one for patients. Especially p.m. shift. Onwers getting sued for no staff meal breaks. Becasue of that, going on meal break and we tell a patient: if you need anything, tell me now, there won't be anyone to answer your call light. THAT IS PATIENT ABANDONMENT! We have patients with broken beds. Owners won't let Air Conditioning be turned on and patients freeze at night. Not enough fans for all patients. Patients suffer and sweat in over 90 degrees inside. We run out of linens. If "owners" wants to post how new wonderful beds are or fans provided for the inescapable heat NOT, I can name names to DOJ. There are patients with bad bed sores, no nurses to care, but charting is done. Making patients be in bed in hot wetness and freezing cold sheets is inhumane. Diabetics with high blood sugar are even more likely to have worse bed sores and get infections tha k1ll them. Blood Pressures are not done but boxes are filled in with made up numbers. All patients are given a regular diet. The owners policy I was told by Dietary staff person. Diabetics blood sugars run high, some really high, have witnessed 500. nurse did not do anything. No diet staff in kitchen, just tray preppers. The help in kitchen only do assembly line. Patient asked for a diet juice, was told we don't have diet juice. Patient asked to leave it off tray. Dietary person said: "We don't want to confuse the kitchen staff, they aren't that smart." Would not ok a diabetic liquid meal replacement. This facility is among the worst in this area, my father was in this facility for over a month, and they did nothing for him. His sheets from his bed were constantly dirty and ripped. When we asked any questions to the staff, we would only get rude responses. Raven a CNA is the amongst the worst in the facility. They also sell candies, chips, sodas to diabetic patients then they want to administer insulin. I've had family members admitted here I've had friends and family work here. There is good and bad you come across some good nurses here very few though. Henry is the best man in the building so helpful for family members and staff. DSD office is horrendous especially Araceli she is a bully to her staff she likes to pick and choose who she can step all over and harass. CNAs run all over her the building is literally falling apart because of her she walks around like her ass don't stink. Henry really needs to take over and get the building back together. Cheri is also really good. If you want to be discriminated and treated unfairly go ahead and work here . For family members your loved ones will either love it here or hate it. They put cameras up before fixing the AC in this place. This place is literally going down. Definitely one of the worst care facilities I've seen in San Bernardino. While visiting a family member I found the conditions there to be grimy and filthy. Hours gone by without being changed or tended to, no clean linen, didn't see anything used to wipe things down, the food did not look appetizing at all. How people have their loved ones there I have no idea. It's more of a homeless shelter for the locals in my opinion. Some of the staff members were very nice and helpful and some were just rude and disrespectful. One male RN would say inappropriate comments to his co workers with no regards to visitors or patients being present. No sir no one wants $50 to see your little Richard. Overall, I'd give it zero stars if I could. That facility definitely needs to make changes because it should be shut down. read more

I'm giving this place 3 because I do see the effort in many nurses. They feel they are understaffed and I agree. They get overwhelmed at times I'm here right now for PT. The PT staff had me standing the second day! They are great. Many don't care if ur ok or not.. but for the ones that do, kudos to ya! I had an unforgivable experience one night with a nurse never once coming to check on my room. For the most part everyone here is kind and thoughtful and accommodating to the best of their abilities and budget. You've gotta pick through the weeds to get to the roses... Speaking of roses, Rosie is the BEST nurse ever! Along with several others, naming them all would take too long I've seen what these nurses have to deal with, they just need to keep themselves motivated. read more

I gave this a rating of 1 star only because of the PT & OT Department. The ladies there were excellent and cared about my healing an recovery. The food was atrocious, what they gave you. There was a drive by shooting just around the corner. My daughter wanted to transfer me to another facility but the administration said insurance refuses the request and when we asked insurance why, it turns out they'd never received a request from Waterman. read more

He was over medicated with Morphine, he had a bed sore that started from the middle of back, down to his growing, around his hip, down his leg to his foot. They allowed him to fall on a transportation van to dialysis and he broke his spine. Once being admitted into the hospital from dialysis. The facility never called me, the hospital called and informed that my day was hospitalized. Infection had spread thru his body as well as bacteria had grown under the skin. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. IT NOT FIT FOR A DOG!!!!!!! There is so much more that happened to him while being there since Feb 1 , 2021. NOT FIT FOR HUMANS! My family member was recently admitted to this facility after a 10 day stay in the hospital left her weak and unable to walk. She is 88 years old but was completely mobile prior to her hospitalization. Upon her arrival, via transportation, it took someone three hours to finally make their way to check her into her room. The administration, case managers and doctors are disconnected from the actual care the patients receive. Case management even reported incorrect information to my family members physician. The wound care nurse, physician , NP and one of the care givers (thank goodness for Helena!) we're caring and knowledgeable but did not understand that the day to day care was deplorable. My family member received little physical therapy during her three weeks stay. Her urinary catheter was pulled out. She was treated roughly during bathing and the food was not edible. Call lights were ignored as well as phone calls to administration or Case managers. They take two weeks to meet with you to discuss your loved ones care plan. And then it is all lies! I was not called and informed of an armed person in the facility. If you love your family member DO NOT consider this facility. At the end of three weeks of "care" my family member had to be hospitalized due to negligent care. She did not and will not ever return to this facility. read more

They neglected to provide adequate care for him and resulted in getting a serious bedsore in which got very infected. My grandmother told me today how much she loves the CNA named Lidia who works the night shift. She is always checking on her multiple times throughout the night. Asking if she is ok, if she needs anything, and offering anything that she requests. She is so polite and makes my grandmother feel like she is a person, not just some "patient." She will sit down and talk with her which makes my grandmother feel so happy that she doesn't feel alone because we can't be with her during the night hours. Even though I have never met Lidia I want to tell her thank you from the bottom of my heart for treating my grandmother with respect and being a friend to her. read more

Please do not take your loved ones to this place. My dad was sent there to finish his medicine treatment and was neglected since he got there. He is a diabetic and was not given his insulin. The next morning at 6 am they brought him a pill for his sugar. My dad wasn't feeling good so he ask the staff to check his sugar. Mind you he didn't have no insulin from the day prior. Well I have been here to see my aunt and it is always clean. Been during the day and Evening hours for visiting. I never experienced that strong ammonia odor of urine or unclean rooms that u have in most nursing homes. Most of The women that I have talk to that are nurses or CNA's are on their job and doing what they are supposed to. But now whether to young social worker in the back room little room about a small as a bathroom. The older lady just seems to be quiet the younger one has an attitude not very knowledgeable and says a whole lot of nothing . Her name is either is either Christie Chastie or something like that. For starters I don't know how she obtained a degree in this field but clearly she is incompetent of her job. So if you have a loved one in this place go to court and get conservatorship because some of these people working here are so stupid they will allow a person that is schizophrenic and has dementia to make their own choices because they're clear levelheaded for five seconds. I have power of attorney over my back and I still had to go and get conservatorship because of nursing homes like this that are actually ill equipped to handle someone with her condition. Had a great experience with the Waterman Canyon staff... Brought my mother to their facility for care and the staff was just wonderful, the clinic was very clean and presentable. Everyone we worked with were kind and helpful. Special shout-out to our admissions coordinator, Nancy! She was such a pleasure to work with and she really extended concierge-level service to us during the transfer process. I must've asked her a million questions and she answered each one with grace. Waterman Canyon Post Acute is a very helpful facility. I am very grateful for the service that they provide. We could no longer have my mother in law at home due to her having advanced dementia and it was not safe for her to be at home any longer. Michael in admissions was so very helpful and patient in getting her admitted. He went above and beyond the call of duty, he was there to answer any questions that we had. Thank you Michael! The facility is very clean, not like others I have been to. My mother in law has been doing well there. She seems to like it and now has others around her 24/7 which is what she needed.
