I kept his business card and after a terrible storm of hail/wind six months later, he looked again. It was time. Chip and Trish literally "held my hand" through the entire inspection, appraisal, insurance process; something I had NEVER been through before. They were honest, encouraging, but above all they were patient with me. The attention to detail that they and the crew from Tritan provides in repairing/replacing a roof should be emulated by other companies. To say they "do it right" is an understatement, and was obvious when they pulled the old roof off which was shoddily done on a home that is barely 5 years old. (Shame on today's builders.) A recommendation to use Tritan (Chip & Trish) is an understatement. If you want it DONE RIGHT, hire Tritan. If you want it DONE HONEST, hire Tritan. Charlie Kegans with Royal Roofing quoted us the best price of the five roofers who submitted bids. On the day of the project everything worked out perfectly despite the incredible heat of Texas in July. The crew was as professional and competent as Charlie said they would be. We are thrilled with their work. The day after the installation we had a good hour-long thunderstorm and downpour which made for a good stress test of their work, and the results were everything we could hope for. Meanwhile, Yelp's algorithm has moved perfectly legitimate reviews from actual paying customers into "Not Recommended." So apparently the algorithm can decide that a real customer's experience isn't trustworthy enough to recommend -- but it can recommend that the business owner review his own company. Maybe it's time to update that algorithm, GULP ! The funny part is that Yelp itself acknowledges its recommendation software can sometimes suppress legitimate reviews. So your criticism actually points to a real limitation Yelp recognizes, rather than simply complaining that you don't like which reviews were filtered.

He hires experienced crews, and his more expensive materials may qualify for reductions to your insurance premiums. Note - RtR's solution can easily increase the cost of your roof by 10%+, and since insurance likely won't cover his upgrade, it can double the cost of your out of pocket expenses. Just recommend you clearly understand 1) what he is not going to install or fix that your insurance approved, 2) what RtR is installing that isn't covered by your insurance (deductable + shingles + ridge caps + wider gutters + ??) and exactly how many checks and the total sum you will be paying them for their roof vs other offers.

They also installed shingles incorrectly around a vent and water leaked and stained a ceiling and they would not repair the ceiling. Now I am having some of their sloppy work redone and the rep from another company took a picture showing that they used a different color shingle around one vent. Blue instead of a neutral color. I had not noticed from the ground. I'm surprised at all of the good reviews. They are not reputable at all! LW
