My girlfriend and I were on a last-minute motercycle trip to the Cabot Trail last summer (August, 2011), and we stumbled on the Water's Edge. They had one room available so we took it. The room was comfortable and clean, and had a great view of the water. Wanda the cleaning lady was extra helpful. The staff gave us tips on the best places to see around the area. We went kayaking, visited the Alexander Graham Bell museum, and drove around the Cabbot trail. It also had a cool gallery of local artists in the Inn. Over all, we had an amazing stay, and most of it was because of the Water's Edge giving us such great local tips. If we go back, we will definitely stay there again, as it's located perfectly in the center of all the best sites in Cape Breton. I wrote this same review on Trip Advisor, and I just joined Yelp, so I figured I'd start out by reviewing this place. That's how much we liked it. :-) read more
