But the place was empty at 1oclock, the prices were steep, and the new salad bar was managed very differently than what you might expect: 1) pick your greens - choice of iceberg, romaine, or kale, 2) pick your dressing - the usual choices plus a balsamic which was very good, 3) add a protein if you want. They bring you a plate with the greens, protein, and dressing, and you add toppings at the bar. FYI, its apparently all you can eat because she asked us if we wanted a second round. I wondered later if that included added protein. Nevertheless, most people cant eat another big plate of salad; so, it would be helpful to offer a one-time salad bar for less $$. The base (no protein) was $16. Add steak was +$12. Add chicken was +7. So these two salads, with no 'refills,' plus an iced tea for $2.50 was $55 (inc cc surcharge). The machine offered 20, 25, or 30% tip. So our lunch salads and a tea was $70...... The salad bar was clean and had lots of great, and healthy, choices like quinua, artichoke hearts, and assorted olives (please note: the olive have pits). Again, the food was delicious, but we can enjoy a made-to-order healthy salad with similar ingredients at a nearby restaurant for about $20 less (yes, inc steak and chicken). We didnt go for the wine, so drinkers might have a different experience; although I noted a bottle of red zin was $65. When I stopped at Smiths on the way home for a $7 rotisserie chicken for dinner, I noticed the beer and wine bar inside was packed full of people visiting and having a great time.

She stocked wines not usually found in the local stores that were really bargains. The current owners have made further improvements, but continue to offer a fine selection of wines. With the renovation of Beale Street (Old Town Kingman), the crowds of First Friday have discovered the Wine Bar. Note that live music starts around 7pm. It gets a louder with the music, but the table within the stacks is quieter as are the patio seats. They offer a number of wines by the glass, a wide selection of bottled beers (and often one special draft provided by Black Bridge Brewery), or select a bottle from the stacks and add a minor corkage fee to cover the glasses. If you don't finish the bottle, re-cork it to go. Summer brings out the red or white sangria. Winter offers the mulled wine or other warm classics. Several local restaurants deliver to your table (e.g. Siren's & Floyd's), but check with your server for others. You can rent the facility on closed days for special events or parties.

We waited for 25 mins. before we were seated. That's not okay. We had reservations. That means, when we get there we get seated. Not 10 min late. Not 20 min late. And certainly not later than that. First time in 40 yrs of celebrating Valentines with reservations. The food? I had the garlic crusted halibut with roasted potatoes. The halibut was overcooked and dry. My wife had the shrimp and scallops scampi with vegetables. The veggies were awful. The main dish was a 6/10. We tried this restaurant once. Not again.

And guess what I ordered? Shrimp tacos! Plus I tried their ground beef tacos and their chicken tacos. All were amazing, hence why I came back. Brought a new guest with me so she could try out this hidden gem on the Colorado river. She loved it as well. On JT's recommendation, I ordered the half rack of ribs with french fries. Hubby had the ribeye with a loaded baked potato. Both entrées were exceptional. The steak was tender and flavorful and perfectly cooked. The ribs were tender with a delightful house made barbecue sauce. I will be back for the french fries that were some of the best I've had in a long time (cooked in beef tallow). We shared the blueberry cobbler cheesecake and it was one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had. And I've had many! I'm excited to go back and try something else on the menu.
