I finally tried Sloane's and so happy with my decision. Stepping in to a fresh modern environment with good music (that isn't blaring so you can actually have a conversation). Greeted by a very friendly face when walking in a promptly seated in a booth. They have a HH and as we saw the orders of HH food being delivered to their tables we decided to order: burger, nashville chicken, baja tacos, and an order of wings. Of course we ordered drinks. I also want to mention that the menu is not the typical Havasu menu which is refreshing in itself. Margaritas were really good not sweet like so many places make them perfect balance of lime to tequila My friend ordered lemon drop and then we ordered a 2nd round! The food was very good. Baja Shrimp Tacos served with charro beans - definitely would order again. The tacos while served on a flour tortilla are served with plump shrimp, slaw, and corn relish. Nice portion and fresh tasting. Cheddar & Char burger with fries which we all agreed those fries are really good. The burger cooked perfectly topped with bacon and cheddar. It's one of the better burgers I've had in town. Did I mention the fries! Nashville chicken: I liked this sammie and it came with fries which- those fries - I didn't think it was spicy it had a nice nashville hot flavor not heavy on the vinegar. We've been watching this space transition from a gas station to a food truck to now a dine-in restaurant. Checked it out for the first time tonight and we were not disappointed. We sat at the bar and were served by the bartender, JT, who was very helpful, friendly, and a pleasure to spend the evening with. The tap beer was crisp and cold. On JT's recommendation, I ordered the half rack of ribs with french fries. Hubby had the ribeye with a loaded baked potato. Both entrées were exceptional. The steak was tender and flavorful and perfectly cooked. The ribs were tender with a delightful house made barbecue sauce. I will be back for the french fries that were some of the best I've had in a long time (cooked in beef tallow). We shared the blueberry cobbler cheesecake and it was one of the best slices of cheesecake I've ever had. And I've had many! I'm excited to go back and try something else on the menu. Tried this restaurant while we were in town and was so excited to see a steakhouse like this in Havasu! I truly can't say enough good things about our experience. From the second we walked in, the service was amazing and everyone was so welcoming and attentive. The ambiance is beautiful and feels elevated while still being comfortable and fun, and the cocktails were SO good. The food absolutely lived up to everything else and made the entire experience even better. It's so nice to see a restaurant like this come to Havasu and bring something a little different to the area. You can tell a lot of thought went into everything from the atmosphere to the menu and service. We will 100% be back every time we're in town. Our first visit, and we were surprisingly pleased. The patio looked lovely, although we did not sit out there. Inside was welcoming, the service excellent, and we found the food to be really, really good. My husband ordered the pork chop, which is his determining factor in the quality of a restaurant overall. A great pork chop is hard to come by. My salad was excellent, the sweet potato side absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed their entree. No one felt their food to be lacking in flavor ( tho no one ordered a chicken dish) and we are big dine-out people. The smoked whiskey was exactly to my son's liking, and he orders it a lot. Our new favorite place! My husband and I tried Sloane's for the first time last night and can't wait to go back! Our drinks were delicious, tried 2 different margaritas and the beer was probably the coldest draft in town. Loved how the shrimp was plated in individual shot glasses and a little shaker of tajin. Nice touch! The ribeye steak was tender, juicy and flavorful with the herb butter on top. We also loved the fact that their wings are cooked in tallow! We sat at the bar and had great service. Noah and Missy the bartenders were friendly and made the night fun! It seems like their outdoor patio Is pretty popular, it has several fire pits and looks warm and inviting. The chicken sandwich was really good. The burger was very bad. The kids chicken strips were good, but the Brussels were extremely overcooked and the wings were very mediocre. I had two margaritas made by two different bartenders. The first, made by a man with brown hair, was incredible. The second, a female, was terrible. One bartender was clearly an artist and the other we overheard that she's never been a bartender before - and this was very obvious in her cocktail. It was nice and clean inside. The server was friendly, but also very experienced. Most of our food was not eaten on our plates and she never asked if there was something wrong with the item(s). Service was great! Only issue is the food and price: We were huge fans of the food truck, starting with Benchmark, then when the restaurant changed hands after the first owners had to let it go. When this place was a food truck: The burgers were super juicy and I was told the beef was sourced from Colorado, the buns were heavenly and the fries were game changing! I had no issue paying a premium because the quality was unbeatable. We just got done eating at the newly opened restaurant and it's a complete reversal. Seems like the food has been frozen: Buns were hard, burger patty was dry and the fries were chewy like jerky! Calamari said it was lightly dusted but it was indeed very heavily floured and just kinda hard and tough. Probably best to just remove it from the menu. $88 for two people: 2 cokes, 1 burger, 1 Lo Mein, 1 Calamari. $88. What happened? Did Shugrues buy this place and lower the quality while increasing prices? We had very high hopes because we experienced food at a quality previously unknown to Lake Havasu when the food truck was here we were blown away and we were expecting that level of quality now that it's a brick and mortar establishment, but we were sorely disappointed. read more

Went here for the first time last night. We had dinner. My wife had the shrimp tacos. I had the lemon aioli chicken salad sandwich. My wife said there was very little shrimp in the tacos. The flavor was fine. Bean soup came with the tacos.,it was ok. Nothing great. The chicken salad sandwich was delicious. It came on a croissant. The croissant was fresh. I had fries on the side. They were crispy and warm. Prices are okay. Maybe a little high than what we're used to. A fountain drink costs $4. That's extreme. The ambience was noisy. There was a large party of about 12-15 that crested enough noise it was hard to talk across the table. Some seasoning of acoustics is needed. It's not a big restaurant, but concrete walls and ceiling create an atmosphere of noise. We liked the menu. We'll be back. There is an outdoor seating area that we hope to try when it's warmer and less windy outside. read more

I am so torn on this review. My husband and I have been longtime fans of Benchmark, back when this was a food truck. We were super excited for the restaurant but sorely disappointed. Like another review mentioned, when this place was a food truck, the burgers were flavorful, the buns were soft and pillowy, and the fries were the best in town! The quality was excellent and we had no problem paying a premium. But now? The medium burger was rare, missing ingredients (no jam), and the bun was extremely dry. And the fries? So disappointing- they were either too hard or mushy. And the seasoning was different and no amazing sauce to dip them in. (When you order them as a side it says sauce comes with it and I've ordered this 3x and no sauce.) I have been here to eat multiple times and I have gotten takeaway a few different times all on the hopes that it will improve with time but it's always hit or miss. The Brussel sprouts are amazing and I love those. Please don't change those. The fries need some extra work to be as good as the food truck fries. The inside is nice and I love the ambiance. I love the patio. The service is friendly. But the food needs consistency. I'm willing to come back but it might be awhile. My husband and I decided to finally try out this establishment last night and it did not disappoint. My husband ordered the ribeye, medium and it was cooked perfectly. I ordered the wedge salad, which was delicious, btw, because I was going to take steal some of my husband's steak to eat with my salad. Oh my gosh, just a perfect combo! I tried two of the margaritas, one with pineapple and the other with blueberry. I actually thought I would prefer the pineapple version but the blueberry was my favorite. The ambience eating outdoors with the lights and fire enhanced the experience and the customer service is 10 out of 10. We certainly will return. read more

First time there. Saw a couple i knew and it was his birthday. Told the bar to put and drink on my tab for him and his girl. I was watching them finishing there drink and meal. I told the bartender several time don't forget about them. They finished and left but never got the drinks I bought for them. I still got charged. When I asked her about my bill she told me she got them their drinks. I'm not dumb I was the drinks they had before I asked to buy them one. As I kept telling her don't let them leave before I get them their drink. They walked out. No drink from me. Still got charged for it. When I brought it up she wanted to argue with me. I'm a local. Odds are you are reading this review looking for dinner ideas.... Well buckle up and get ready for dinner at Sloane's because your search is over friends. This wasn't my first time dining here but after a few meals that have left me still thinking of how good the food was the next day I have to give kudos where due. For those of us old enough to enjoy a delicious adult beverage you're in for a treat. These are not your run of the mill drinks. These are legitimate craft cocktails. You can tell when they bring them over in real glassware that even as you pick them up feels like you're at somewhere special. Nothing watered down in an old pint glass that some kid had chocolate milk in before you got here. They mean business before they even touch your lips. I wouldn't be surprised if these glasses haven't been misplaced in some lady's purse they are that nice. Once you taste them though, it's game over, you have now had the best cocktails Lake Havasu has to offer. The Smoked Old Fashioned lets you know it means business before you taste it. My wife got the PearTini and I would have thought she was trying to relive her college days with how fast it disappeared. Now if you came here for drinks only you're missing out, so let's start with the Tuna Appetizer. It's the second time in a row we ordered this bad boy to get things started and we have left absolutely no evidence of it ever being served. It's light, fresh, and so tasty you would think the chef was out fishing for it that morning. If you hadn't had enough fun with some fresh Tuna keep things going with the Poke Bowl like my wife or the Filet like I had. I will stand by my comment to my wife that the steak here is not only the best I have ever had in Havasu but probably one of the top steaks I have had in my life. Cooked to absolute perfection. They could have avoided dirtying a knife and just left me to it with a single fork and there would have been no complaints. It's just that tender. It's not a massive restaurant, and the person who did the decorating in here obviously has good taste. It gives me the feeling of what the Cheers bar would be like if it took place in Aspen or some other bougie place. Let's start with the good: the service is super friendly and quick, the ambiance on the outdoor patio and inside are a vibe, especially at sunset and the fire pits are an amazing touch. The location is great, right across from smiths with its own parking lot. Now the bad... With the outdoor patio being right off a main st, the traffic does get a bit loud, especially when there's motorcycles and razors zipping by. We ordered the Mac and cheese, ahi tuna appetizer, Tuscan salmon and the naked chicken parm along with steak stack burger and two mocktails. While the Mac and cheese was creamy and decent, it was definitely lacking a garnish or topping, maybe some house made bread crumbs or literally, anything. It's just macaroni noodles in cheese. Ahi tuna app - seared and plated well and came with a sauce. Looked great but somehow had almost no flavor. Tuscan salmon - again, plated nicely, but no flavor. Naked chicken parm - also no flavor, and chicken was overcooked/burnt. Steak stack burger - decent but compared to others in town, not worth the price. Cucumber mocktail - good, refreshing Lemon fizz - good but essentially lemonade with no "fizz". Was honestly expecting it to be more shaken or with egg whites or anything to give it "fizz". The total price with tip was $165. Dinner for 3, no alcohol. We had to ask for salt and pepper for the table which we honestly never do. We want to love this place so bad, it's cute, great atmosphere, amazing service and wonderful location. But, for the price tag, the flavor really needs to be elevated. I do think it will be worth revisiting if a few adjustments are made. read more

Cindy waited on us and got the staff to sing happy birthday and treated my husband to a cheesecake with a light candle even. It was our first experience there but it won't be our last. Food was amazing ! Service was very good ! Ambiance was very good but was a little too noisy for our liking but the food and service made it worth tolerating the noise ! They could definitely use some noise reducing panels on the ceiling and walls ! I think that would help a lot ! This place is a must try... over and over again. They have turned this little corner into an experience you need to enjoy. The vibe is fun and the outdoor lighting is inviting. Started off with a couple appetizers, the crispy onion bloom is amazing and the calamari is delicious with their sauce. As for the drinks I'd highly recommend the smoked old fashioned. They smoke it right in front of you which is cool and it smells amazing. The dinner choices were great, a few of us got some steaks and someone had a chicken dish. The prices are high ish and I wouldn't have minded so much but while the halibut was tasty season wise, it was overcooked. I'm pretty sure we are done coming here, we've been in Lake Havasu for 7 months now and we feel right at home, we've met great people here a lot of very nice people have been supporting all the local restaurants with no issues, l told my wife that if America people can be like Havasu this country would be even better but Sloane's we are not coming back the wife and l find this restaurant discriminating, we've been here 3 times and the food is great we like the food but it seems every time we come here we ask for a booth and they never sit us in one they always have an excuse for some reason even though l make reservations all the time and ask for a booth it seems like they only sit the white people in those booths and we see it and we notice it of course the wife and l are not white we are Hispanic and we can just feel it, so l don't want people to think that most of lake Havasu is like this because it's not it just feels this way with Sloanes maybe the hostesses needs better training or just stop being racist. The food was amazing. I have to say. However, there were so many other service issues that absolutely changed our experience. I walked in with my service dog, with identification, and was rudely told by a blonde waitress that "dogs aren't allowed inside". According to the Americans with Disabilities Act, that is not only illegal but terribly embarrassing behavior. Despite this, we decided to stay and eat. I have lupus, which means I cannot be in the sun (hence wanting to eat inside upon arrival), yet there was no shade so I was forced to sit in the sun. The waitress we had was the one who said no dogs, who also seemed to be the manager so a complaint was useless. Finally we go to order, and the woman tells us everything has gluten besides the lo mein. Said the risotto had gluten because rice has gluten. Anybody with celiac knows, rice is gluten free. That's why the rice noodles are gluten free. Then shared that beef tallow is not gluten free, and everything is cooked with it. For the love of goodness, get a gluten free menu, or educate the servers. My mother couldn't comfortably eat because she clearly had no idea what gluten was, and only asked the chef once, then basically said no she knew everything. Deplorable service.
