What a lovely night. Wine and live music. Serenaded by the owner and the lead singer of The Swillers. Perfect.

What a lovely night. Wine and live music. Serenaded by the owner and the lead singer of The Swillers. Perfect. Happy birthday Jeremy!

Delicious chocolate chip cookie with ice cream

The ambiance is amazing. I like the intimacy and the wait staff were friendly and accommodating . I had an amazing mango margarita rimmed salty and sweet. We decided on the short ribs for dinner. I have never had such delicious food in Kingman. The ribs were fork tender and the polenta was outstanding. The sauce was so flavorful and highlighted the dish. My only negative, serve more polenta and slight more sauce.

We travel thru kingman a lot and always stop in here. We are happy to find this place. It's like going to a friends for a glass and wine. Great wine selection. Love tasting different wine. Servers have all been great. So friendly and down to earth. And I met Diana. She's great as well. They have live entertainment many nights of the week. We will always come here every time we are in town.

Musician on night of our visit played jazz standards as well as some originals. No cover.

A "mom and pop" endeavor, owned and operated by a couple of retired teachers, The Cellar Door offers a good wine list by bottle and glass at reasonable prices and even more good bottle options to purchase in their adjacent bottle sales area. Friendly service by the owners (Nancy and Scott Rhoades) who made us feel right at home in the funky "all are welcome here" vibe. Customers taking in the music and the libations ran the gamat from 20 somethings to seniors with folks in pairs, in groups and as singles. You sense this is a "locals favorite" place. Lots of inside seating options at regular height tables (woohoo...I struggle with bar height seating these days due to MS), bar height tables and a sofa and a couple of easy chairs. Outside tables and chairs on the patio were full on the evening we were there, which is no suprise given the fabulous September weather. But we wanted to be inside so we could hear the music. Musicians constantly change; on the night of our visit a jazz musician playing old standards and some of his original work and whose dad, also a musician, had rubbed elbows with the likes of the great Coltrane. Food is limited to things like mixed cheese, fruit and nut plates. Except on Thursdays when you can order pizza they pick pick up and bring in from a local pizza place. We were there on a Thursday, but had eaten dinner elsehwere. Next time, we'd opt for pizza here if coming to town on a Thursday night because it looked tasty. We stayed a couple of hours sipping a bottle of domestic sparking wine, nibbling on a cheese plate as dessert, and listening to the music. We hated to leave. If this was in our neighborhood, we'd be regulars. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING & ACCESS: This is located in downtown Kingman and parking is on street and can be scarce. Also note for Yeeps and other peeps who rely on Accessible (aka ADA) parkng, we found nary a sign of it in downtown Kingman, which overall tends to be pretty inaccessible. Sadly. But The Cellar Door itself is level in and throughout. Happily. 2)BREWSKI TOO: If you're a beer drinker, you are in luck here too. There was a good sized beer list, including several from Deschutes Brewery in my home city. (Everything is connected.) 3) HOURS & MENUs: Can be found at this link: http://the-cellar-door.com/

Please note that this is not a restaurant but and excellent Wine Bar. We recently moved to Kingman from NYC Area. While exploring our new surroundings we came upon Diana's. WOW!! Staff was warm and friendly. They were knowledgeable about wine selections and providing recommendations. We are no wine experts by any means but we do know a good wine. The atmosphere is very welcoming and not to loud so you can sit and talk while music is playing. While they do not serve food many of the local eateries do deliver so you can have your choice of Cuisine to enjoy with your wine. We opted fro the Pizza and BBQ place next door and got a very nice pizza. Not many places on Historic Rt 66 that you can enjoy a fine glass of wine like Diana's. Definitely a place for us from now on

If you come to Kingman and don't come here before you leave you're missing the best part of this town

Wow Diana, that Hess Cabernet Sauvignon is great. Thank you for recommending it. Bob with the Indian

Nothing overly fancy, but comfortable and inviting. The bread was fine--good enough, though not something I'd make a special trip for. They didn't have the wine I originally wanted, but their staff quickly recommended a comparable alternative. Their wine selection is actually quite respectable. Our server was outstanding. Attentive without being intrusive, friendly, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a good experience. My one notable complaint has nothing to do with the food. We were seated near the kitchen, which normally wouldn't bother me at all. However, one of the hostesses wore a very strong perfume. Every few minutes the scent would drift by and completely overpower the aromas from the meal. It wasn't an unpleasant fragrance, but when dining, the aroma of the food is part of the experience, and it became distracting. We started with the Caprese salad, which was excellent and properly prepared. The mozzarella was so good I actually asked if it was house-made. It wasn't, but it certainly tasted like it could have been. My wife and I split the chicken piccata. The chicken itself was perfectly cooked, and the seasonal asparagus was fantastic. If I'm being exceptionally critical, the piccata sauce was slightly thicker than I prefer and leaned a bit too heavily on the lemon. The extra acidity overshadowed the capers somewhat. Likewise, I was a little disappointed to learn the pasta was not house-made and arrived slightly past al dente. These are admittedly minor critiques and the sort of details most diners probably wouldn't notice or care about. Dessert sealed the deal. The homemade key lime pie was outstanding. The filling had a fantastic balance of tartness and sweetness with a smooth, creamy texture that was clearly made in-house. I even verified that with our server. It was a home run and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The fact that I'm discussing details like sauce balance and pasta texture should tell you that the overall meal was very good. The strengths far outweighed the shortcomings. Excellent service, several standout dishes, and a dining experience I'd happily recommend. We'll definitely return the next time we're in Kingman.

Although we were not dressed in suit and tie and formal wear, we were both dressed nicely, slacks, dress shirt and a nice summer dress. Everyone else was in shorts, jeans or picnic attire. I'm no snob, but once in a while it would be nice to dress up a little for date night out. I guess I'm from an era of the past, where once in a while you could put on a jacket and a tie and feel like a date out was a special occasion. Years ago you would never have thought to go somewhere nice and not respect that restaurant without a stylish attire. I believe it is just a time of causal everything and showing a little style is a thing of the past.

Salad Bar - Need to Know Ambiance was awesome, and service…read morewas friendly. But the place was empty at 1oclock, the prices were steep, and the new salad bar was managed very differently than what you might expect: 1) pick your greens - choice of iceberg, romaine, or kale, 2) pick your dressing - the usual choices plus a balsamic which was very good, 3) add a protein if you want. They bring you a plate with the greens, protein, and dressing, and you add toppings at the bar. FYI, its apparently all you can eat because she asked us if we wanted a second round. I wondered later if that included added protein. Nevertheless, most people cant eat another big plate of salad; so, it would be helpful to offer a one-time salad bar for less $$. The base (no protein) was $16. Add steak was +$12. Add chicken was +7. So these two salads, with no 'refills,' plus an iced tea for $2.50 was $55 (inc cc surcharge). The machine offered 20, 25, or 30% tip. So our lunch salads and a tea was $70...... The salad bar was clean and had lots of great, and healthy, choices like quinua, artichoke hearts, and assorted olives (please note: the olive have pits). Again, the food was delicious, but we can enjoy a made-to-order healthy salad with similar ingredients at a nearby restaurant for about $20 less (yes, inc steak and chicken). We didnt go for the wine, so drinkers might have a different experience; although I noted a bottle of red zin was $65. When I stopped at Smiths on the way home for a $7 rotisserie chicken for dinner, I noticed the beer and wine bar inside was packed full of people visiting and having a great time.

I got prosecco and my partner got Pinot noir from the happy hour and tbh they were delicious. My partner drinks wine more often than me (I hate the dry taste of wine lol) but I wanted to come to try something new. We ordered the Waffle and Caviar, Sausage Roll, Brushetta from the happy hour and the Chef's Tasting board. The Waffle and Caviar was super flavorful! The touch of masago was 10/10 paired with the waffle and cream sauce! Ugh my fav truly. Next we got the Brushetta and my partner loved it. He said the tomatoes were delicious and paired well with the bread and sauce it was marinated with. I did try a bite even though I'm a tomato hater but man you can tell the tomatoes were fresh. I had a piece with no tomatoes because I loved whatever was on top as whatever the tomatoes were marinated in! Next came the Sausage Rolls and man were they delicious paired with their homemade cheese dip! I don't think I'd get again because it's quite heavy with the wine but def glad I tried. Lastly was the Chef's Tasting Board... this was so good. You could tell the cheese and meats were fresh and paired very well all together. The main star for me for that platter was the bread dipped in that garlic butter balsamic + oil... ugh delicious. I can't wait to get the membership and go back.

I told her we would be in-out within the hour and she still suggested I leave! My baby wasn't fussing, she was peaceful inside her bassinet stroller!
