The wine bar is on its third owner since opening around 2012. The founders sold to Diana (Diana's Cellar Door Wind Bar) who was a distributor before purchasing the wine bar. She stocked wines not usually found in the local stores that were really bargains. The current owners have made further improvements, but continue to offer a fine selection of wines. With the renovation of Beale Street (Old Town Kingman), the crowds of First Friday have discovered the Wine Bar. Note that live music starts around 7pm. It gets a louder with the music, but the table within the stacks is quieter as are the patio seats. They offer a number of wines by the glass, a wide selection of bottled beers (and often one special draft provided by Black Bridge Brewery), or select a bottle from the stacks and add a minor corkage fee to cover the glasses. If you don't finish the bottle, re-cork it to go. Summer brings out the red or white sangria. Winter offers the mulled wine or other warm classics. Several local restaurants deliver to your table (e.g. Siren's & Floyd's), but check with your server for others. You can rent the facility on closed days for special events or parties. read more

We stopped in last week and were well taken care of by Kendra. There was live music and a very chill atmosphere. It was a great way to spend a night in Kingman. This little historic area business is a gem. To begin with, you can bring your own food or have it delivered by several places within walking distance. We carried in our food. Then, there is Dogfish Head bottles for no more than $7! I had a Black Butte porter for $5, since DFH 90 was out. We literally had a perfect $15 night out! The ambiance is amazing. I like the intimacy and the wait staff were friendly and accommodating . I had an amazing mango margarita rimmed salty and sweet. We decided on the short ribs for dinner. I have never had such delicious food in Kingman. The ribs were fork tender and the polenta was outstanding. The sauce was so flavorful and highlighted the dish. A "mom and pop" endeavor, owned and operated by a couple of retired teachers, The Cellar Door offers a good wine list by bottle and glass at reasonable prices and even more good bottle options to purchase in their adjacent bottle sales area. Friendly service by the owners (Nancy and Scott Rhoades) who made us feel right at home in the funky "all are welcome here" vibe. Customers taking in the music and the libations ran the gamat from 20 somethings to seniors with folks in pairs, in groups and as singles. You sense this is a "locals favorite" place. Lots of inside seating options at regular height tables (woohoo...I struggle with bar height seating these days due to MS), bar height tables and a sofa and a couple of easy chairs. Outside tables and chairs on the patio were full on the evening we were there, which is no suprise given the fabulous September weather. But we wanted to be inside so we could hear the music. Musicians constantly change; on the night of our visit a jazz musician playing old standards and some of his original work and whose dad, also a musician, had rubbed elbows with the likes of the great Coltrane. Food is limited to things like mixed cheese, fruit and nut plates. Except on Thursdays when you can order pizza they pick pick up and bring in from a local pizza place. We were there on a Thursday, but had eaten dinner elsehwere. Next time, we'd opt for pizza here if coming to town on a Thursday night because it looked tasty. We stayed a couple of hours sipping a bottle of domestic sparking wine, nibbling on a cheese plate as dessert, and listening to the music. We hated to leave. If this was in our neighborhood, we'd be regulars. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING & ACCESS: This is located in downtown Kingman and parking is on street and can be scarce. Also note for Yeeps and other peeps who rely on Accessible (aka ADA) parkng, we found nary a sign of it in downtown Kingman, which overall tends to be pretty inaccessible. Sadly. Please note that this is not a restaurant but and excellent Wine Bar. We recently moved to Kingman from NYC Area. While exploring our new surroundings we came upon Diana's. WOW!! Staff was warm and friendly. They were knowledgeable about wine selections and providing recommendations. We are no wine experts by any means but we do know a good wine. The atmosphere is very welcoming and not to loud so you can sit and talk while music is playing. While they do not serve food many of the local eateries do deliver so you can have your choice of Cuisine to enjoy with your wine. We opted fro the Pizza and BBQ place next door and got a very nice pizza. Not many places on Historic Rt 66 that you can enjoy a fine glass of wine like Diana's. Being new to the area, we were it on a Saturday night scoping it new hip joints for live music. At first we walked right by, thinking we wouldn't quite fit into a "wine bar" atmosphere. We were so wrong, it wasn't t even funny. We walked in, grabbed the last two seats at the bar, which for me is always an indication that the bar is doing well for a reason. Butts in seats mean people like coming here, so more than likely I'd like it too. All the tables were full and a groovy band was playing. The wine selection was ample,and to be fair, I don't drink much wine in public, so I was nervous that I'd be without options. I was wrong! They had an excellent selection of beer, including a semi rare beer for a very fair price. I'm used to lying eight bucks a pop for it, however they only charge five! I'm told the house wine was excellent, and that's coming from a wine snob on a budget. I can only imagine what the non house wines taste like. Everyone was sipping beer and wine, nobody better than the next, and enjoying the evening harmoniously. He live band was good, but the best part about it was they were at a decent volume. So many times In small joints like that you feel your bones vibrate because it's so loud. Totally not the case. The service was absolutely spot on. Although it was super busy, with the band and what not, the one and only bartender made it a point to chat with us and make us feel welcome. He even recommended other places to adventure to and check out, which was awesome. We really felt like we were at home, even after only one visit. We'll go back, for sure. read more

Diana's is a 1960's coffee house remade into a wine bar by adding the bar, an alcove where you can buy a bottle of wine, and a menu of beers and wines. Assuming that is what the Cellar Door is trying to be, it succeeds as another piece of nostalgia on the Route 66 corridor. Sit back and listen to the live music (see note below), order a glass of reasonably priced wine from the short but thoughtful list, and order a pizza. No, Diana's does not serve food, but you can order in from Floyd's (pizza and BBQ) next door or another restaurant. Floyd's pizza is pretty good and they deliver right to your table. A hint about the music. Diana's has live volunteer musicians (working for tips) on some days but not others. Check their website calendar to see what's up. The night we were there, a folk duo was playing standards from the 60's and 70's. They were as good as work-for-tips musicians should be. Anyway, we had a good time. Note: "Cellar Door" is the name of a popular Washington DC folk club from around 1970. The Kingston Trio made an album there. I told you Diana's was about nostalgia. read more

I ended up at this place based on Google searches of things to do in Kingman. I went here on a Friday night, and I was surprised to see only about 10 patrons inside. I guess that's life in Kingman though. My first impression was how open and inviting the layout is. The bar tenders were nice and even offered tastes of wine, before deciding on which glass to purchase/drink. Their beer list is decent, considering they have nothing on tap. And they had a guy playing guitar and a little harmonica. I tipped him and he played some Jonny Cash for me, so that was nice. This review was written while protestors were down the street and many locals in town were protecting local businesses. Diana knows all of the locals and her establishment is in a tourist area of Kingman. 2 odd white girls came in the store with a blue dog asking strange questions. Once Diana asked where they were from they said Los Angles, got quiet and left. Anyone who has to lie to hurt another is clearly on the wrong path. Wow! What a great addition to downtown. My sisters and I met in kingman for my mom's birthday and we took her to Diana's. Diana and the whole staff were awesome. We had planned to have one drink, then pick up takeout food to take home. Diana suggested having the takeout delivered to the wine bar.....she actually called the other restaurant and made arrangements! We stayed, drank great wine and sampled beers, and enjoyed great Italian food from a nearby restaurant. There happened to be a belly dance performance that evening, so we took that in as well. A must see in the downtown area of Kingman Az. Great wines and craft beers and now they also have Black Bridge brews on tap. I love coming here every Thursday with friends and family for the relaxing atmosphere and great local music. Also have a great selection of in house games to play, like cards against humanity. Over all the staff is amazing except for one waitress that avoids any contact with my group as we go in there for some reason by looking at us and then moving to the other side of the bar or disappear into the back as she know we are waitting for service. But you can't let one bad seed rune a great place and thay is why I'm still giving them a 5 star. All the other staff is amazing and very friendly and fun. The manager is amazing and very helpful from offering samples of wines and making sure we get the right drink that we are looking for. We all will deffently be back and keep our tridition of thirsty thursday in the downtown area with the Cellar Wine doors. read more

A couple of girlfriends and I visited Diana's Cellar Door last night for the first time...and we were beyond disappointed by the employees there. When we walked in, the employees didn't greet us or bother to even make eye contact, even though they looked right at us. We were left simply standing in the middle of room because we didn't know how the ordering process was handled as we wanted to sit outside. I finally approached the young gentleman working (no idea what his name is as he didn't bother to tell us) and asked how we could get some wine outside. He seemed bothered to even answer, didn't offer any information about the wine, didn't offer to bring it outside, didn't check to see if we'd like more, didn't bother to see if we liked the wine. He did come outside after a few hours....to talk to another table, even though he walked right past us and our empty glasses. When we found him to pay out tab, he didn't ask about our experience, welcome us back, nothing. While the wine was delicious, the customer service was nonexistent. We'll take our money to another small business in town as this one didn't seem to care about us at all. Sent this above message to them...No response. Post classless place. read more
