It…read moreis located within the Rothrock State Forest, adjacent to Greenwood Furnace State Park, and near the site of an old CCC camp. There are 18 rustic campsites, with water fountains/spigots, non-flush toilets, picnic tables, and grills available for campers and day use visitors. There are garbage cans available, but it is advised that you pack out your trash if possible. The roads leading into and out of the park are unpaved and are not plowed in the winter. Four wheel drive is not necessary to get there, but if you drive a car that is low to the ground be aware that the trip up will not be the smoothest. We spent a long weekend here in mid October, and while there were a few other couples and families camping on Fri/Sat night, on Sunday we were completely alone. It was isolated and a little creepy, but ultimately it was really nice to be away from civilization! Rangers drive through a couple times of day. There are some nice trails, lots of wildlife (keep your food in your car, if you don't want to be visited by foxes and coyotes in the middle of the night) streams, and a pond that is stocked for fishing. It is a nice, quiet place to kick back & enjoy the outdoors. I am really looking forward to visiting again!

The couch was a little on the shorter side so it was slightly difficult to get comfortable on the couch. The bed was pretty low to the ground and it was tough to get in and out of and both my boyfriend and I had trouble sleeping because of it. There were bugs across the floor of the cabin near the windows in the living room. There was no broom and dustpan anywhere that we could find to clean it up. If we come back I think we'll most likely stay at the Tiny Homes. They were much cleaner and the bed was a lot more comfortable.

It was nice to sit outside with the leaves falling. This was special to me as I live in Florida and do not have the privileges of seeing falling leaves. Jamie the owner was very pleasant, informative. I tried calling for two days to make reservations, left messages she did return my call. Jamie is running the campground during the week by herself, said she was working outside and apologized for not answering the phone. Don't let this deter you, I am sure you would be very please!! Paradise Stream was a fun relaxing camping trip with friends and family…read more This was our first visit and we were impressed. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The campground is large and organized into different sections/site types including cabins and glamping tents. There are sites overlooking the lake and ones that are more secluded. Our site was in the 200 block and very level. It took no time at all to get the camper set up for the weekend. Water pressure was good and steady power. WI-FI was also average for a campground. If you enjoy a campfire and plan on staying a few days spring for the "cage" of firewood/weekender. It is a large metal cage of firewood they deliver to your site for only $50. That may seem like a lot, but with single bundles costing between $7-$10 at most places this is a deal. We had a steady campfire going for 3 nights/days and still had wood left. There are amenities for kids and adults from the pools, lakes, and activities to the wine shed and music. Everyone can find something to do that they would enjoy. There is a well-stocked general store and ice cream shop!

The shuffle board and pickle ball areas have been updated for this year, and all the other areas are still in great shape - pool, game room, gaga ball, etc. Spending time riding around the campground in a golf cart is a must if you want to see everything.
