I am giving this location a review based on potential as I was here for an auction and not for a…read moreshow. With some tlc, decorations and string lighting this place could be a rustic venue dream come true. There are two stages one outdoor and one indoor. My phone died from the cold before I could take pictures of the inside but the indoor stage was everything one would expect and had roughly 100 seats wrapped around three sides of it. (Potentially a great space for a wedding party to view pictures or if the couple is into acting...a skit or something of that nature) There are gardens and arbors galore. There is also a spaces of land for parking and/or room for setting up tables for an events. I was happily surprised to find many trails behind the the theatre and even though I'd been carrying two children for over four hours(it's good form of cardio) in Pennsylvania's blistering cold I was able to take them both for a nice fall scenic walk while we waited for the auction to close. For anyone who's been to Canonsburg's Little Lake theatre I would say this place is very much like that theatre minus the lake location. Overall, from a potential venue aspect I feel like this place could be a place of lots of celebrations. As for the theatre productions themselves I have no experience but their website boasts lots of information and bios of the cast. Location is close to Penn State, Penn's Cave and other fun places. Certainly a location to consider and if you're into theatre this might be the place for you.

Having two parties you would think there would have been some glitches but there weren't. Thank you to Nicole for coordinating everything and to Tyler for being onsite for both parties making sure they ran smoothly. The view was amazing and the food, service and venue were outstanding. My family is still talking about how great the parties were.

This was one of the worst restaurant/bar experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment we…read morearrived until we left, the service was disorganized, slow, and unprofessional. It felt like the staff had no sense of urgency, and simple requests took far longer than they should have. Instead of enjoying the evening, we spent most of it waiting and wondering if anyone actually knew what was going on. The biggest disappointment was the bar. I ordered a Last Word cocktail, which is a classic cocktail with a well-established recipe. It should have a bright green color from the combination of green Chartreuse, maraschino liqueur, gin, and fresh lime juice. Instead, what I was served was bright red. A Last Word is not supposed to be red. Even a quick search online will show that virtually every properly made Last Word is green because of the green Chartreuse. A red drink tells me the recipe was significantly altered or the wrong ingredients were used. If you're going to serve a classic cocktail, it should at least resemble the actual drink. The poor service combined with the incorrectly made cocktail made for a very disappointing experience. There are plenty of restaurants and bars that take pride in their hospitality and their bartending. Unfortunately, this wasn't one of them. I won't be returning, and I can't recommend it to anyone looking for good service or well-made cocktails.
