Now the lid is cracking and the response was you are required to pay a fee AND agree to pay for the full repair or replacement cost before they will come out. There is zero reason why a lid cracks less a year out. Pictures were sent of the damage and since then zero contact again. And you cannot bring the lid in. They won't look at it. I should have just bought a used one. Never again will they have my business and I will be taking them to small claims if I don't get some form of reply from them. Awful customer service.

The locker rooms were already worn so I can only imagine what they look like today. Currently, I am here weekly for my sons Aquatic therapy, by way of All For Kids Pediatric Therapy Clinic. We pay $20 during the summer, to use this YMCA locations, pool. It's nothing luxurious, but it's close to home, and my son is a water-boy so naturally this is his favorite therapy. It's unfortunate those with physical and intellectual disabilities who need their caregivers, aren't considered when it comes to the locker room. The women's bathroom states "any male over 5yrs must use the family changing rooms." We have no problem with this, except most of the time, the family room is being occupied by people using it out of convenience rather than necessity. I'm highly adaptable, so I've learned to get creative and work around this. Since we have to walk through the fitness equipment area to get to the pool, I did notice that their equipment is mostly keeping up with modern times (large flat screens on machines, popular cycling bikes). Not the best fitness gym, but probably the most cost effective family membership option you'll find. Their Tudor location was recently renovated so I recommend going there if you can.

They also have certified personal trainers available for your use. Your initial session is free, and then your additional meetings are lower cost than most places around Anchorage. Need a message? This can also be your place. The facility is well kept and has multiple fitness rooms, a swimming pool, basketball courts, a boxing room, a spin room, racquetball courts, saunas and even a track upstairs. The best part though? This gym is free people, FREE. No cost, and offers plenty of machines, weights, space for your workout pleasure if you have access to it.

Every time I'm there the lifeguards are super busy cleaning. They even have a soap machine on wheels that goes through the locker room and thoroughly cleans everything. Second, they have a very modern pay system where cash OR card is available to pay. Third, the staff is very friendly and readily available to answer questions. Furthermore, they switch lifeguards regularly and have several staff on the clock at a time. To me, this means they have a alert and able bodied staff ready to take care of any swimmer that goes awry. Finally, don't forget: 1. Your lock for the locker room 2. A towel 3. To take your shoes off at the door 4. Flip flops to wear around the pool deck and locker room 5. To shower before you leave the locker room. (The lifeguards will tell you to go back and shower if you forget)

Every 2 minutes the manager or lifeguards were calling me out because my boys were splashing too hard, not entering the pool in the right area, of course running and a bunch of other trivial stuff! I was constantly being monitored and being made to feel I wasn't doing my job as a parent! AND you have to be in the pool with them and pay for yourself; you can't just stay up in the bleachers and watch your kids! You can't even go to the restroom alone for one minute without being confronted for leaving your kids unattended! In past times, it was the lifeguards job to keep the kids in line at the pools, but instead they are relying on the parents to keep up with the kids at all times! And the place is old and falling apart! Chugiak pool is FAR better and friendlier staff!

Of all the greenhouses I've visited in Alaska, this one has the widest selection of perennials. They have things that NO ONE else has, so that's pretty cool. What isn't cool? Three things: One- their plants are all on the ground (instead of eye level on tables, crammed to closely together on the wet soggy ground. They're too close together and there's no place to walk. As a result: Two- their plants are being over taken by weeds. Since they're on the ground the weeds are free to take over. The plants are not very well tended at all. Three: The prices are waaaaaay to high given the quality. The plants are small and poorly tended and you pay for the POT size, not the plant size. Kinda ridiculous. The indoor plants in the greenhouse are well tended and gorgeous however. I just think their poor layout makes it really difficult to tend the plants. The greenhouse is an oasis of tropical plants, soothing sounds and smells. They have a cute selection of gifts- wind chimes, soaps and lotions and other zen items. I was really pleased with their selection of herbs, which is one of my favorite subjects: basil, siam basil, tri-colored sage, parsley, oregano, rosemary, thyme, lemon verbena, bee balm, chocolate mint, peppermint, chives and other lovelies. I'll definitely be back, but I'll be looking for sales to make it worth the trip.
