When I was first referred to this office, I was honestly nervous and afraid that I was going to be dismissed or told that nothing was wrong because my lab work didn't "show enough." I was scared that no one would truly listen to what I was experiencing. From the very beginning, that was not my experience at all. The nurse practitioner took the time to really listen to everything I was feeling and reassured me that I wasn't crazy. That alone meant more to me than words can explain. Later, when I met with Dr. Watrous, he was incredibly compassionate, patient, and attentive. He listened to every symptom and concern I had without dismissing my feelings or making me feel unheard. At one point, I was even in tears because I felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and honestly paralyzed by everything I had been going through physically and emotionally. Dr. Watrous and his team treated me with kindness and understanding. They helped me start treatment, and I'm so grateful because I finally feel like I can see the sun again and begin getting parts of my life back. As a single mom, especially with a teenage daughter depending on me, having a better quality of life means everything. I truly cannot thank this team enough for helping me feel seen, heard, and cared for. I highly recommend Dr. Watrous and his entire team. Dr Watrous specializes in rheumatism/arthritis. He is fantastic, calm, listens and advises. So, so fortunate to have been referred to Dr Watrous. Excellent care. He tells it like it is in a calm manner. Everyone in the office, the nurses, the receptionist and the phone personnel are very pleasant and reassuring. On one occasion when I was in the Clovis ER, even though the doctor was not in his office, the staff tracked him down and he communicated his instructions to the appropriate ER personnel so that they could treat me accordingly. This man should retire or be investigated by the medical board for his negligence. I had to go to the emergency room 3 times this past week because I thought I had pneumonia after getting the colonoscopy that he was pushing for because he pushed on that my issue was ulceritive colitis which was a mild case, but both the GI specialist and Watrous were throwing me back and forth about who should put me on medication because I had a positive ANA test regarding Lupus erythematosus. This disease runs in my family heavy with 4 cousins getting it and killing one of the my male cousin at 28 years old. I'm 26 years old and never once did this man look at the entire rash that I had on my back that i kept bringing up. He was told multiple times about about the body, joint and daily migraines that I was having. He had all the blood results and tests to HAVE put me on PREDNISONE to somewhat control these symptoms and the only thing this ignorant and arrogant guy did was tell me to take ibueprofen and tylenol. It literally felt like the biggest slap on the face it took me a lot not to tell him exactly what I felt about the way that he was handling the situation. People literally die from this disease not to mention the exhaustion and severe pain that comes along with it. Long story short Kaweah told me that I urgently need to find a new specialist because the ulceritive colitis issue is a secondary disease being caused by another auto immune disease. I should have been on Prednisone and while thy ran their tests for blood clots, ekg, blood tests and a CT scan I was put on IV and had to breath through an oxygen mask because of how bad I had gotten. They eventually put me on 60 mg of PREDNISONE and gave me some to take home. I have lost my voice for over a week with pain in my chest, right lung and body. I really wish I could upload all the picture of my blood results on here to put this man on blast it is disgusting because to top it off I picked off and signed a release of medical records 2 weeks ago and read on the paper that he wrote that I did not show of any signs of pain or discomfort when I would have to take up to 6 pills of tylenols and could not walk or get out of bed in the morning because it felt that I was stepping on legos cause my joints and stiffness hurt that bad and that man was writing that down. I already asked my primary physician to drop him and the gi specialist and find me a doctor in Los Angeles and I will have to explain to them exactly how I had to explain to all the doctors at Kaweah why I was not on medication and why i have to drive 3 1/2 hours. I do not wish this disease on anyone because of the amount of pain and the way it has taken me down, but karma is real and I hope it does not fall on one of his family members or another aggressive disease. read more

I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis about 9 years ago and referred to Dr Watrous. I have been coming here ever since and I am so thankful for this office and staff. I have gotten the treatment I need to live a full life. They have always been so helpful during difficult times when nothing seemed to work- they never gave up and found a way to help me feel better. Best doctors and Nurses. BUT the front staff are something else! I had an appt to fill out paper works, they didn't give me anything after my appt nor called me to say oh hey your doctor signed your paper works the same day you had an appt. NO! They scheduled me for another visit for the same paper works to be finished. Guess what when I came in? Doctor was like "we already did the paper works a month ago" I have signed and finished them all the same day you had an appt with me." WOW!!! Front staff doesn't really communicate with their nurses and doctors! YOU HAVE TO CALL THEM ALL THE TIME TO ASK ABOUT YOUR PAPER WORKS! Or else they would tell you just call tomorrow call tomorrow or worst they will tell you hey you have to make an appt again. Horrible staff! read more

This guy is the worst kind of doctor there is, all he sees is dollars signs when he looks at patients. He is judgemental, arrogant, rude, inconsiderate, and insulting. He will judge you based off of your appearance or even what someone else has said about you. He'll be rude to your spouse and even your children. Once he decides he no longer likes you you will end up spending more time getting your vitals done than with the actual "doctor." You'll stop getting suggestions for other treatments, and a short temper followed by personal insults each time you have to see him. He will take absolutely zero responsibility for any error that you bring to his attention, and he will even verbally attack you for even trying to bring an error to his attention. Neglecting a patient because of a preconceived notion you develop from being judgemental is the definition of unethical. If he is so content in doing all this to a patient who has gone there for almost 20 years, he is capable of treating anyone like this. Please don't just take my word alone, there are at least 5 other websites that have horrible reviews about this guy. Yes, the staff is absolutely incredible, they are caring, kind, considerate, thoughtful, and even sweet, but Danny is none of the above. The PA's and nurses are wonderful people who I will miss and will never forget! I truly feel sorry for them having to work for a man like this. If you've experienced behavior that was unethical and you feel like you have a legitimate complaint against Danial Watrous MD, and feel like there is nowhere to turn you can do a couple of things: 1) file a complaint with the state medical board- dca.ca.gov (how to file a complaint with the medical board) really easy to do! You can even fill out the complaint form using your phone. 2)call a malpractice attorney. If you choose this option know the dates of the incidents, and if he actually made it to where you got depressed, anxiety, mental anguish and you need medications or counseling or psychiatric help have all your documents in order with dates. You can do 1 and 2 though! I'm not a lawyer, so it's best to contact them personally! Good luck with this guy if you're still a patient of his, if not you can still file a complaint with the state medical board and or even call a malpractice attorney to see if you have other options. It's stressful and painful enough to live with arthritis, there's absolutely no reason your doctor should make you feel worse emotionally by the way he treats you. Lying, personal insults, dirty looks, and degrading behavior should NEVER be part of your treatment for arthritis and this doctor knows that, he just thinks everyone else doesn't. He's been treating patients so bad for so long now that it has become second nature to him, and if doctors still take the Hippocratic Oath he has long forgotten that oath... read more

The doctor himself was personable enough. The copay is a bit ridiculous ($50 for a disabled person who can't work.) After I had paid this amount in full however, I received a bill demanding another $25. When I called to question this, they said they had only received half the payment. I explained that this was not the case, and have the receipts to prove it. They said I need to bring them the reciepts, when I pointed out that I don't work for them, and that their missing paperwork is not my fault, they hung up on me. Advice: find an office that can handle something simple such as paperwork. read more
