My room is spacious and large, super clean and has all kinds of extra little amenities. Free breakfast in the morning is a perk. Close to food, gas, and shopping. Staff is friendly, check in is quick. There are train tracks on the other side of US-15, but I haven't heard any train noise. They had cookies set out as well, which is always a nice welcome, along with free bottled water. I stayed in room 300 (digital key worked just fine). I prefer rooms at or near the end of hallways away from elevators. I ended up choosing the end of the hall that is closest to the main road so there was occasional street noise but it wasn't constant. The room is very clean - the bathroom looks like it was recently renovated...also very clean. They have all the amenities of a Hampton Inn - gym, free parking, free breakfast. It's my preferred chain for travel. This location has a pool as well so that's nice for families. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Upon entering, I had booked a room for 4 and there weren't enough towel sets in the room. I went down to the front desk and apparently we weren't the only ones that short towels and she had run out. The room wasn't thoroughly cleaned but just enough. A little ick. This room also didn't have a clock on the nightstand which was a little annoying. Maybe because most people have a smartphone to use as an alarm. The room was spacious. They had the standard hot breakfast so that was good. Their swimming pool I think has a chair lift but you would need to check if someone knows how to operate it. There is also a fitness center if you want to squeeze in some exercise. The hotel didn't quite meet the standards that I expect in a Holiday Inn Express but it will do for one night.

No stopping it because it leaks when closed too. The bigger issue was the disgusting sheets and such. Black stains on the sheet. Mattress pad was a mess. Blood, urine stains were all over it. Then there were actually crumbs on the mattress pad. How they got there, no one knows. Front desk gave us new linens. They were upset about how bad the mattress pad was. Second pad was also stained but only one small one. They obviously have an issue with housekeeping and keeping their stuff clean. Management comped the room which was nice.

Average price per night was $400 (demand pricing - rooms normally run about $120) which in itself was fine given the limited options in the area. We don't always stay in luxury hotels - primary Marriott properties are the norm (Courtyards, Fairfield, etc.). Cons: - Very dirty (elevators, the actual room, floors, hallways, carpet, etc.) - Room and entire place had a strange vinegar/chemical/odd smell - especially in the room. Inside the carpeting was unswept and dirty. Wallpaper in terrible condition. Our room door was a mess. The walls and tile were in poor condition. The carpet was wet. The blankets were worn and so we checked for bedbugs. The staff were very nice so that was the only positive I can post.
