I honestly don't understand why this place has so many negative reviews. My appointment was originally booked months out because they stay busy, but when I told them I was in pain, they got me in much earlier. Everyone was professional, kind, and made me feel comfortable, especially since I'm nervous about going to the dentist. The doctor was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain things clearly. The doctors have been prickly, arrogant and antagonizing in most cases. So maybe there's a toxic culture here. Only the dental assistants have been nice. It's an all female staff as far as I have seen. I have to wonder why with all the demand for 50/50 representation in all professions. Endodonist, Dr Dalia Al Alfe, spoke to the assistant about me in an unkind, insensitive way during my procedure. It's hard to be at ease, not being able to react as your teeth are being worked on. There's a lack of communication between specialties. Hence, there's a knowledge gap in what options are presented to you. They try to hard sell you on expensive options. Would rate zero if I could and at this point don't believe any positive review was not paid for. I have gone to wave a few times as it's one of the few places that takes my son's dental insurance, the first time was ok but it's been nothing but complete nonsense from them sense. They will make demands for records and then pretend they didn't get them or misread them. They had me drive from Lansing for my last appointment just to when I get there try and tell me they can't do anything like they planned since he has a heart condition (surprise he doesn't). They had misread a very clear test from when he was four days old that had been clear in the hospital and forced me to sit there for an hour trying to get through to my son's doctor to confirm this or drive home with no help. Luckily my doctor actually got back in enough time but then when I went in today they pulled the same thing. They said he needs sedation, which was something that we talked about on the phone and they had said they were able to work on him and scheduled him. So why when I showed up today did I wait thirty minutes to have them bring us back to a room and tell us they can't help him? He's in pain and these people are the worst joke of a dental office I've ever seen, I will be contacting the state regulatory board and filing a complaint as well as looking at other options since they continually have provided horrible service and shouldn't be allowed to practice looking at all the real reviews they get read more

My husband waited an entire hour to be seen after his scheduled appointment and arriving 5 minutes early. They didn't even follow up with him to let him know they were running behind. He took time off work for this appointment and they were extremely inconsiderate and unprofessional regarding this situation. I have an appointment today and I had to get some work like 2 teeth removed, a bone graph and a replacement tooth I was suppose to come out my pocket for $1100 when I got there I asked about everything because I didn't wanna pay it they said they could onlt do the bone graphic while putting a replacement to in so I said ok where long ass it's getting done then they wait to put gas and drugs in to to start saying the $1100 only cover the bone graphs when I wasn't coherent and taking a tooth out so I didn't need to do bone graph because nothing was going in but they still got me for $1100 read more

Horrible place If you're looking for an Entodonist stay away from this place.Their only Entodonist Dr.Dahlia has no interest in your pain and any concern for it. I came in for root canal pain and she pawned me off to see a ENT.She didn't even examine where my pain was coming from and verbally said she can't help me. After several dentist telling me my issue was related to my roots and needed to see a Entodonist,sadly she showed no sympathy for my pain. My ENT said I need to go back to see a Entodonist. Insurance fraud seems to be a normal occurrence. They are unable to keep up with their own lies when confronted. The employees facial expressions when questioned on fraudulent charges on bills will tell you everything you need to know. Look over your invoice carefully. They are also affiliated with Cambridge Dental Group, their neighbor, who I used for over 10 years before I was sent to Wave for surgery. I am no longer a patient of either establishment. read more

I had a consultation then two weeks later was supposed to have something done with the periodontist only to get there wait almost an hour in the waiting area then get told the back area then get told the same thing, that I got told at the consultation two weeks prior.. therefore ANOTHER consultation which was an absolute waste of my time and completely unprofessional. My grandson needed a root canal so we heard about Wave Dental, made him an appt and drove from Bay City, Mi to Dearborn Heights (114 miles @ 1 hr 45 minutes one way). His appointment was at 8:30 am, so after having left at 6 am to get there, we arrived, Sat in the waiting room for about 30 minutes and were eventually told that they would not even see him because he was under 10 years old. Could you not have told his mother that little helpful piece of information, not only when the appt was made, but on the previous Friday when you had called them for an appt reminder? What kind of place doesn't tell you that when they supposedly specialize in children's dentistry? Wave Dental that's who dropped the ball here. I had an appointment to get two upper teeth extracted, about one week away the office called and said the dentist had to cancel my appointment, we rescheduled, the earliest was another month out. As it got closer the office called to confirm, they explained that this was a consultation only x rays and a discussion of what had to be done, I was disappointed almost two months and I only have a consultation. At the consultation they took x-rays looked at them on a screen said yes these are the teeth to be removed pretty basic, the person at the consultation was not even the surgeon it was an assistant so why did they tell me the dentist had to reschedule the first appointment and it wasnt even him at the consultation, it was less than a 15 minute visit. Now I have to make another appointment for the extractions, the earliest was another month away. I made the appointment at 8am when they opened. Upon arrival I was taken back to the room, an assistant took my blood pressure and put a bib on me, and left. I remember smelling pot not sure who it was but possibly the assistant. I sat in the chair in front of a big screen tv watching game shows and could hear all the staff in the next room cutting up and laughing, 40 minutes went by, the assistant came in said the dentist should be in soon I said I hope its been 40 minutes, after waiting an hour with no explanation, i decided to leave this is ridiculous, I walked to the front a lady from the front desk stopped me and asked what was the matter I said it has been an hour im leaving she said please wait a minute let me find out what is going on. She returned and said the dentist is busy with another patient and said it would be another 20 minutes I said Im not waiting, my time is important I had a 8am appointment, She said the other patient had problems and the dentist couldn't leave, I said I dont care, why is he working on someone else instead of me. she said what do you want i said I want to be compensated this is disrespectful she said please wait I left. 3 Hours later the office manager called and tried to shame me because of the other patient had problems, I said you shouldn't double and triple book people its not fair, in a condescending way she said ohh thanks for telling us how to run our business we will make a note of it. read more

Don't trust anyone the doctor will say something and the doctor assistant who collect money will say something else ,I had tmj botox and a month later I was going to get the rest of it because Dr. Kim dosnt give it all at once for his patient, that what I had been told from Dr.Kim I still have pain in both my temples and behind my jaw, and the clicking sound got worse. On my follow up day they told me I need to pay again to finish my botox unit's ,so I spoke with Dr.Kim again after 1 hr wait he said " oh don't worry about it, I'll take care of you". In hour later no one came to see me he saw all the patients who came after me and totally ignor me . I was so disappointed and realized that they care about money not the patient, while later another assistant came and said to finish your unit's you need to pay more, when I explained to them twice that I payed upfront 600 for my botox and I'm here for a follow-up to get the rest of my unit's cause that's what Dr.Kim want. Of course she ignored that and said I need to pay never saw the doctor again who told me to wait in the room for him ,I never thought doctors could lie to a patient. Went home tears on my face sooo disappointed with pain and don't know what to do next. I am typically a very nervous person regarding dental work, but the staff was very friendly and the Oral Surgeon was great. I would highly recommend if you live by Dearborn Heights I believe they do everything from Oral Surgery, Peds, Ortho to IV Sedation. read more
