Normally maybe a good time for people but my friend's birthday was literally ruined. We spent a total of 45 minutes total actually standing still but spent the rest of the time sitting while Captain Julian tried to anchor. Would not recommend to my worst enemy. Not only that but management was very disrespectful when we complained about our experience. If there are other services, go there! The positive reviews sucked me in but it really must depend on the captain you have. Either way, take the risk if you want. I heard the captain of the other ship that went out talking about the people on his ship negatively so I'm sure our captain did the same. Not worth all of that for the lake we went to. Our ride on Sunday 5/28 was from 11am-3pm. We reached Devils Cove around 11:48 and by the time our captain got us situated and tied up to the other boats it was 1pm. Not even an hour later one of the boats was leaving and our captain was running back and forth from the drivers seat to the front of the boat very frantically trying to figure something out without communicating with us what was going on. We all got out of the water as our boat started to move away from the other boats without any guidance from the captain. He started trying to drive away when another boat started to blast a horn at him to stop because he was dragging them with his line. He finally had to cut his line in order to release himself or release the other boat. The guy from the other boat was super upset and came up to us and started berating our captain. I dont know if that matters but it was uncomfortable and more than we signed up for. Our captain ended up having to cut his line and drove away to family cove? Or some place far away from the other boats where he put us up against a shore and basically with no communication just sat in the water texting on his phone. He never explained what happened or what was going or apologized. He just kept saying it wasnt his fault. We are not sure if he was inexperienced or under the influence of a substance but we felt unsafe and mainly cheated out of our time out on the water. Several people got injured and had cuts on their feet from the rocks where we ended up. We were only allowed in the water again for a small while since it was already almost 3pm by the time he finally stopped driving in familys cove. We have rented several party barges etc from different companies and never had an experience like this before. read more

WARNING! Whatever you do do not book this trip if weather does not look good. They will not refund you under any circumstance as stated in their contract. Most companies have some sympathy for situations, they do not. I was planning a big weekend trip to Austin, TX with friends for our best friends Bachelor Party and the main attraction was going to be the boat rental and within 36 hours of booking the boat I realized there was a very likely chance of poor weather and contacted the company to try and cancel, but they said we would have to wait until day of to see how the weather was. Obviously we could not fly all the way out to Austin, TX for a trip crossing our fingers that the weather would end up being good. So we cancelled our entire trip to Austin and all of our flights, hotels and vendors were understanding and refunded us except these guys. Sure enough it rained on the lake that day and was poor weather. There was even a 79% chance of thunderstorms and lightning on that day according tot he weather apps 48 hours prior to our booking. So the idea that a company would expect someone flying into Austin to go boating to have to wait until 24 hours prior to see how the weather is going to be to decide whether or not a customer gets a refund is just brutal. People have enough financial issues going on as it is with everything going on, so it is always surprising when a company, contract or not, is unwilling to waiver and keep over $1,000 dollars of a customers money with no services rendered with more than ample notice. I never post bad reviews but felt compelled to put out a warning for anyone booking to make sure you check the weather and probably go with another company that has more of a family feel and cares about their customers. They will respond to this review saying it is in their contract, just no they will not waiver and will have zero sympathy. We had booked a Pontoon boat for 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon. It was definitely the highlight of our Austin trip. Fantastic experience with these guys. I texted to check on boat availability and had a response within 5 minutes. We rented the 22 foot pontoon which came with a 3 person tube and Lilly pad. We had 5 adults and two children and the boat was spacious and clean. Angel met us at the boat ramp and gave us a quick run through. He was very professional and super knowledgeable about the area. The rental price was about the same as other sites I checked. Would've been a bit cheaper on a weekday but we were only in town for a long weekend. Lake Austin was gorgeous and we had a wonderful time floating and tubing. Would highly recommend these guys for your rental. The rental comes with a full tank of gas and Bluetooth stereo hookup. Captain Mitchell was AMAZING from beginning to end. As a member of my best friend's bridal party, we wanted her day to be absolutely perfect. From the moment we stepped on the boat until we departed, Mitchell made sure everything went smoothly. We have several giant swan/duck floats that we wanted to bring onboard and Mitchell made sure to accommodate. He tied all the floats on the back of the boat to make sure they didn't fly anywhere and also remained patient with us when we couldn't figure out the how to work the Bluetooth. Oh yes, the boat has Bluetooth so you can hook your phone up and listen to your music as loud as you want (the boat speakers are pretty loud)! We visited Austin from LA for a Bachelorette in July and reserved a boat with Wave in Water through Kevin...best decision ever! Everything from my initial call inquiring about the boat was handled with ease and simplicity. Kevin was great over the phone and answered all my questions regarding the booking. Super personable, informative and professional. A couple days before our day at the lake I received a text from Captain Jimmy introducing himself which made me feel super secure in our day at sea. We communicated through text that morning and he advised us to get ice (cooler on the boat), drinks/snacks and again answered any questions we had. Jimmy picked us up from the dock (hard to find on gps) and advised us that at the end of the day he would drop us off at the nearby restaurant instead since it's easier for Uber to locate on gps. The entire day was perfect from start to finish, Jimmy catered to our needs and took us on a tour of the lake then parked the boat in an area with all the other boats where we partied the day away. He helped us pump all our floaties, we had like 10 (Kevin had advised me that they had a mechanical one on the boat ahead of time but unfortunately they didn't have the nozzle to fit the floaties *womp womp*). Luckily, we had brought a small handheld pump just in case so poor Jimmy was pumping one at a time. The boat also had a large floating pad that attaches to the boat which was super fun to hang out on. Jimmy was absolutely great and always made sure everyone in our group was having a good time. I learned a lot about the background of their company and am so glad to hear that business is doing great, he mentioned that they'll be getting larger boats next year. Bachelorette re-do?! lol. The only suggestions I would make is that they pick another spot (easier to locate on gps) for pick up, if possible and get a nozzle for floaties! ha. I took a last minute trip to austin to visit my friends for the weekend and they persuaded me to stay longer for a boat party. I must say i had a blast. The boat size was comfortable enough to fit a small group of 12, give or take a few, which i wont even complain about because it kept the party intimate and not too wild. He was the captain for a bachelorette trip we had this past Saturday and not only did he contact us the day before to make sure we didn't have any last minute questions but he took us to an amazing rope swing and dealt with 13 rowdy New Orleans girls and managed to do it with ease. The day started well. We had a good time on the boat. We returned the boat and everything was well. the next day we got a charge for 800 . No reason was given. I had to call to find out and kevin said the pontoon was damaged. But when his operator took it from me he said everything was good. There is no way for you to see before if there was any damage. When he took it out of the water you can the see eight dime sized dings on it. He wants renters to pay for normal wear and tear to subsidize his failing business. I whole new pontoon costs less than 2000. Be prepared for extra costs if you rent from him read more
