I found Dr Choi by way of insurance, and I am so glad I did! Just like most of us I, suffer from neck upper back and especially shoulder pain. I tried 2 different massage places prior to, which gave me some relief - but the sharp throbbing pain didn't go away. I knew I had to try acupuncture. Dr Choi fit me in for a same-day appointment. I wouldn't say the pain went away immediately, but a good portion of it subsided. She is extremely personable, caring, and genuinely wants to help you feel better. Upon entry to Dr Chois clinic she was extremely nice and began taking my information. She already had my medication list from the VA and a lot of my personal information. She then had me stretch to check my mobility before placing me in a room. Once on the table she examined my back then started placing the needles up and down my back. This was my first experience with Acupunture treatment. I went for back pain relief. I was apprehensive and nervous. However, Dr Choi bubbled over with positive, reassuring energy. She explained to me in detail what to expect and what not to expect. For example, she informed that often patients do not feel any improvement until the 4th treatment. For me , I felt some improvement by the 2nd & significant pain relief by the 4th. Moreover, Dr. Choi constantly checks for pain. I have had extreme muscle spasms at the base of my skull and along my neck for years. I have had ablation of the nerves in that area to help with pain.
