I wanted to share a recent win against back pain-- On September 25th, I had an appointment with Patricia, and she was nothing less than a miracle worker. After just one session, my intense sharp pain turned into a dull ache and then disappeared completely. The experience was life-changing. Wow! Am I becoming a "Fan'ces" with my numerous review updates here? Omg! Normally with massages, I prefer a 2-finger death touch (or an elbow!) that really digs into tight muscles. At the gym even, I'm beyond the help of foam rollers... I straight-up use a 45-lb. metal bar to self-massage nowadays. However, when I need a more gentle touch, I come see Ben. He is unusual in that my other massage therapists all feel for knots, and he feels for where the blood flows different. He helps me with my TMJ, as he is excellent at cranial massage. This therapy also puts my neck in alignment since I hate being cracked there by a chiropractor, takes away headaches, and is such an amazing holistic approach to healing without pills. I put off writing this review, but I've been to him for massages off and on for years. He only works Fridays now, so I dutifully make my appointments well in advance. I learned this year, they do cupping. Though it's not as good as heated glass cups, it still gets my blood flowing. My go to place for acupuncture. I like to go when William is working, he asks thorough questions about why you're coming in for acupuncture and then explains his needle placements as he goes. I've done both the communal and the private acupuncture and I definitely prefer the private one. They will even do some cupping on you sometimes if they feel you need it. Sometimes the communal space can be difficult to relax in with people coming in and out. But I usually can fully relax, and sometimes even fall asleep, in the private rooms. The communal sessions are really nice too especially for the price. It is located on coast highway so there are the occasional motorcyclists or loud people walking by but other than that this studio is amazing. I suffer from chronic pain and this place has definitely helped to ease it and make me feel better overall. read more

However, one of us didn't get the heated lamp. You sit in a community room on lounge chairs. It was relaxing but do keep in mind foot traffic to the restroom and the massage room. Kind and compassionate service. I had my first appointment with Marc this weekend. Marc was is very kind and understanding of my well being prior to starting my therapy session. My session was conducted and monitored by Marc. Session lasted approx 45 minutes with periodic checks upon my well being. All utensils used on my therapy session were clean and sterile. Patient sessions are conducted in a large shared quiet room where other patients may be present and in-session. I cannot say enough good things about OAM! I have only been there a few times (I should have gone and should go more) but it is pure magic! They really know what they are doing. I was honestly very skeptical of this. I had never had acupuncture before, and initially went because of a knee injury. My hairstylist recommend I go and see if it helped. To be honest, I am not sure if it helped my knee, but it extremely helped my hormonal balance! This might be tmi for some, but I have never had a regular cycle in my whole life. I also have PCOS and hypothyroid, and am a distance runner--all which have probably affected my body over the years. I was concerned about my fertility and gave them this information. Literally a week after my appt, my cycle started and was on time on the dot every month after. I really should go back, I just need to find the time! Thanks Marc! I went here on my midwifes recommendation for labor induction. I got an spot right away and the ladies working were very nice and the price is also great. After getting my treatment I have to wonder if that's why they charge so little. I've had acupuncture in the past and I couldn't even feel the needles. This time on the other hand, it was SO painful. I also didn't see the little tube guards being used to control the depth. 3 of the needles placed in my wrist were very, very deep and painful. My hand and wrist felt like it had a Charlie horse all day after I left. There were also points in my ankle that ached all day after the treatment. I've also never heard of acupuncture causing bleeding but I bled in two sites and I now have a bruise on my wrist. It was recommended by the therapist I come back the next day to do the induction points again but it was honestly so painful I'm scared to go back. I'll just let nature do its thing, my baby will come when she's ready. I'll also note I purchased the 3 for $49 treatment package before my session but I definitely won't be going back so they can keep those other two sessions. read more

Fantastic place! Great acupuncturists at a great price. Love that they're open seven days a week and no appointment is needed. I also appreciate that they do not rush people out of there and let us relax for a good long while and let the needles do their thing!
