Kimberley Woo is very friendly, but I felt she was too inconsistent and disorganized to feel comfortable. The biggest issue was cleanliness, I saw signs that the sheet hadn't been cleaned in a while. There was trash that hadn't been cleaned up. She keeps the mylar blanket on the floor and steps all over it and reuses it. This was too much for me to bear. Also, she spends too much time chit chatting, and so the actual acupuncture time ends up only being about 15 minutes. I'd rather have the needles in longer and less chit chat. read more

After suffering with chronic bursitis in my right hip for over a year, and trying so many different ways to deal with it, I sought out the help of Dr. Kimberly Woo. My son is a college baseball pitcher, he was experiencing back pain, to the point that he was having to sit out, we tried EVERYTHING!! I went to Kim on a Monday with sciatic-like pain I had for months. Pain that kept me from sleep, walking, exercise. Nothing had helped. I had never been to an accupuncturist before. She had me due a few stretches then used cups and needles. I noticed the needles that went into my pained leg really hurt to go in. My 11 year old son was with me and he asked her lots of questions, she patiently and graciously answered each one. She was masked the whole time by the way. Kimberley Woo does wonders!! I am a firm believer with the combination of Eastern medicine with Western and Mrs. Woo takes this approach into her practice. I have had the pleasure of seeing the positive effects and quick recovery from her treatments. The occasions of why I saw Mrs. Woo were for injuries I sustained in the gym. I have had strained, sprained, and pulled muscles throughout my life through my active lifestyle. However, I recently strained my lower back which caused very uncomfortable pain. I contacted Mrs. Woo the night I injured my back and although her office hours were closed, she replied instantly and was able to see me the following day. I received treatment that included electro therapy and warmth. This made my back feel relaxed and less stiff. She emphasized the point of warmth in the area rather than constant icing like the western approach suggest since warmth will allow more blood flow to the area and speed up the recovery process. Although it was very difficult to avoid the gym for a few days, she told me to be patient and allow for a full recovery. There is no point in re-injuring my back and put me out for even longer. Words cannot express enough appreciation for Dr. Woo! I had been experiencing severe back pain including shooting, stabbing pains in hips, leg and low/mid back and I could not walk, stand, sit or sleep normally and had to wear a back brace. I had been to chiropractic care for weeks that only brought temporary relief and my condition progressively worsened. The pain was unbearable and I have a very high pain tolerance. I saw Kimberly when I was 42 weeks pregnant and being threatened with induction by my doctors. I was committed to birthing my baby in the most natural way possible and heard about a procedure called moxibustion which can help induce labor. I saw Kimberly on a Friday. She did acupuncture and moxibustion, sending me home with the tools and instructions necessary to do treatments at home. I followed what she told me to do and - low and behold- I went into labor at 3:00am that day and gave birth at 7:30 the next morning!
